"Naruto?" said boy looked up from his food, his three friends had left after saying a brief goodbye and exchanging phone numbers. A girl clutching a few notebooks and a laptop in her hand stared at the blond, looking really tired and worried. The squad thought that Naruto would shoo her away but he just shifted closer towards Itachi, nudging the older man to move, and patted the empty space beside him. He pushed his tray closer towards Itachi to make some space for the girl. She quickly sat down and buried her face into his shoulder, grumbling about something. The rest stared at her bold move. "You should eat." Naruto said, eying her then the stack of notebooks. She shot up and stared at Naruto then at the books. "I don't have time to eat! I need to study! I have a few examinations and I can't-" Naruto cut her off by shoving a small sushi into her mouth. Then he took her books and laptop off the table and slid his tray towardsw her, placing her belongings on the table in front of him.
She was about to speak again but Naruto picked up another sushi to keep her mouth occupied while he flipped through her books. "Just relax. You'll do fine." Everybody frowned. That... wasn't Japanese.
"Easy for you to say, sensei! I am not some young corporation boss that is 16 and in senior year with all the 20 year olds!" The girl snapped back in Japanese.
"It doesn't matter that I am a 16 year old in senior class. What matters is you try your best." Naruto said, still in that strange language that is not Japanese. The girl frowned before her eyes darted down to the books and saw that he was reading her French notes. "Yes... I will try my best." the girl answered in French.
"Good girl." Naruto murmured in Japanese, making the girl beam with pride.
"Now, what are the ANZAC, Haku?" Naruto asked, after flipping through her history notebook and noticed that they were covering world war 1.
"Australia and New Zealand Army Corps." Haku replied, munching on an onigiri.
"What do you think was the direct cause of world war 1?"
"The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, his assassinator was a young serb -Princip- whom is a member of the Black Hand Secret Society. Franz Ferdinand had travelled in an open-top car despite the first assassination attempt where a few assassins were unwilling to shoot the beautiful wife of Ferdinand but a few were injured from the attack. Ferdinand chose to visit the victims and they took a wrong turn, stopping at the cafe Princip was in and thats when the Archduke was killed." Haku said, giving a pretty detailed account of what had occurred. Naruto nodded thoughtfully, looking at her notes about enzymes in the Science notebook. Naruto asked a few more questions, his friends all staring at him like he grew a second head when he was explaining the Balkan wars in great details, even including the exact date of when it had happened etc.
"See, you did pretty well for world war 1 history. Now, whats the lock and key method?" Again, he received the strange looks when he explained it clearly and it was so easy to understand that Haku almost cried in relieved at the help given. Naruto went through the things that needed to be covered before they knew it, everything that Haku was unsure of were all covered to the point were she can probably recite it properly.
"Hey COME ON MAN. Bros before hoes!" The table turned towards the source to see a handsome boy heading their way. He reached Haku and sat down. "Nah. She's the bro, y'all the hoes." The boy said before turning to greet Haku. Never before have they seen boys in ridiculous baggy jeans and snapbacks look so hurt and insulted. "Nice one." Naruto said, extending a hand for a high five. "Marry him, woman." Naruto mumbled to Haku who nodded saying she knows.
"Do you want to go to Disneyland with me after the Finals?" the boy asked. Naruto suddenly started pulling off his rings. He just happen to have two rings, a boyish looking one and a thin woman looking one. I know rings can't identify gender but that description will work for now. "Thats it, propose, no questions asked. You, marry him." Naruto said, shoving the rings into the boy's hands.
"But but-"
"Yes I will." Haku whispered quietly.
"What? Wait, lets try again. I know this isn't romantic or anything but will you marry me? I promise I will get you a better engagement ring?" He said quickly after plucking up a tiny strand of courage but that was enough.
"Yes I will. No need to get a better ring; this one has some significance to it." Haku said, smiling at her now fiancé and then at Naruto. The blond boy was now grinning from ear to ear, please with the results. He bounced happily in his seat. "Aren't you happy today?" Haku asked, smirking.
"Of course! My OTP is coming true." Naruto said, sending them a heart. Haku blushed with her fiancé, hiding behind him which made them all smile.
"Oh shoot. I have a ice skating competition. I don't have a dance routine and I don't have a partner!" Haku cursed then she suddenly lit up and turned to Naruto.
"Oh dear." Naruto mumbled.
"You said you love figure skating! You could teach me and be my partner!" Haku declared, making Naruto stare at her as he tried to figure out the course of plan. Then his eye caught her fiancé when he was eating. "Actually, I have a better idea."
