Extermination
The only thing they could hear was the beating of their own hearts. There was a knock at the door and their hearts were getting louder! Another knock and their hearts were getting louder! Again, another knock and their hearts were getting louder!
"Wait here." Shu stood up and walked out the bedroom, but Valt pulled his wrist, because he doesn't want to be left alone.
"I wanna go with you. But If you decided not to go, I'm staying right here." Valt said in a fearful voice. It was hard for Shu to look his blue haired friend's face, his chocolate eyes filled with desperation and sorrow.
"OK then. Just hold on and try not to make a sound." Shu whispered. Valt stood up, holding Shu's arm. The Spryzen blader wanted to keep the Valtryek blader safe, hoping this nightmare would be over soon or later.
Shu unlocked the bedroom door, his chest was getting tighter as he took a deep breath; the fear was growing more intense as he didn't know who it was outside the door. They walked slowly to the front door, dragging their feet as they got closer and closer.
Drawing the door open slowly, they were relieved to see Reo. "Hey Reo, is everything alright?"
"No, Valt, it's not! Diran wasn't home this morning. He always tells me when he's going out. Even his bey Dawon is gone!" he frantically whined.
"Calm down, why don't you come inside and tell us what happened?" Shu asked.
"No, there's no time! What if something bad happened? She acts so immature for her age, so naive. Something terrible could happen!"
"Reo, relax." Valt commanded, his eye twitching. "And don't worry, I'll leave to get the elements looking for her. You can stay here and relax."
"Okay," he whimpered. "But, what if he went into the forest looking for ducks again?"
"He'll be fine, come in."
The three bladers went to the dining room table and sat down to eat dinner. Each began to work on their meal. Reo was in a hurry to finish and find Diran, cleaning his plate before Valt and Shu were halfway done.
"How was the meal Reo?" Valt asked.
"Delicious," he yawned. "I must not have got enough sleep," he added.
"Oh, well feel free to lie down if you'd like."
"No, I want to go find Diran," he objected.
"And I told you, I'll handle it." Valt's eye twitched again.
"Are you alright, Valt?"
"I'm fine!"
"Why is he always so hard?" Valt whispered to Shu.
"He doesn't get this right," Shu replied, hissing.
"Look, I brought you here to have dinner, just us three friends. All you seem to care about is Diran."
"Uh, no offense, but this is the first time you have ever invited me over, Shu. We're going to find Diran."
"O-OK. Let's go look for him." Valt agreed.

Valt and Reo stood up and started to walk towards the door. His legs went limp and he quickly stumbled, hitting the counter and falling to the ground.
"Hehe, That makes this so much easier," Shu chuckled. "You see, I need to head over to your house and plant some evidence before the gas line explodes."
The orange haired male moaned. "Gas? Shu—"
"What's wrong?" Valt asked.
"I don't feel so good."
"I can fix that, but now I'm not sure I want to. Diran was so cute and polite, and here you are running your mouth. I can fix that too."
Shu rummaged through a nearby closet and returned with some pliers levitating in his possessive grip.
"What—why are you talking about our gas line? and Diran?"
The sun was setting slowly, and Shu latched the doors shut. His preparations were complete.
"What I'm talking about, Reo, Valt, is leaving your teeth at the scene of your death. I'd leave you there for being so rude, but Diran was so nice... I think he deserves his best friend." He giggled softly as they watched the possessed Spryzen blader twitching. "Maybe you'll have a change of heart, once I... change your heart!"

Reo was slowly struggling his way across the floor. He felt nauseous and his senses and muscles were barely reacting to his commands.
"Come on, don't do this!" Valt said. He walked a bit closer. "Is this all because of 'Shu'?"
"Don't bring Shu into this!" Shu jammed the pliers into his mouth and ripped out a pair of molars. He dropped them into a bowl as Reo screamed in agony.
"Wha—the fudge—Shu. If you wanna kill—me you psych—itch, just get it—over with!" he mumbled.
"Oh, I might do that for a friend, yet I'm enjoying this too much now. I wouldn't want to waste time either, I still have to turn you into a doll." Shu ripped out his upper incisors.
"Snap out of it! It's just another me toying with you!" Valt screamed as he pulled Shu's arm until he got hit on the floor and knocked out unconscious.
Reo was crying and drooling blood. "Plea—sowwy—so sorwy. . ." He continued to sob as he lay on the floor, giving in to his despair.
"Sorry you were rude, or sorry that this hurts?" he shouted while tearing out four teeth at once.
It took him a minute to recover from the pain and reply, during which the psychotic Valt inside Shu's mind waited patiently. With a slurping sound, he started to speak. "For bein—rude. I was juz sho worrie—for Diran."
"Aw, that's OK. Now, let's get out the rest of those teeth." Shu dropped the pliers to the floor.
Reo's eyes went wide in horror. He could feel Shu's gripping all his remaining teeth. He felt the pressure building against his jaws as he pulled. His mouth opened, trying to beg for mercy. When the pressure became too great, he closed his eyes.
The teeth popped out with a quick, sharp pain. Reo waited for a moment to open his eyes. he heard a loud cracking sound. When his eyes opened, Shu and the teeth were gone. He closed his sore gums, which seemed to have been numbed a bit by his grip.
His body felt like a sack of wet dirt as he dragged it across the floor. It took all his focus and energy just to move a foot. His head ached, his heart was beating irregularly, and he felt ready to vomit. Whatever Shu had done to him had left him vulnerable and in great pain. He looked back in fear when he heard another loud crack.

He turned around slowly and stared wide at the bloody figure. "What the...?!" The creepy version of Valt came out of the shadows, he crawled passed Shu and straight towards a helpless Reo. He wore the same clothes, but covered in blood. In his eyes, black sclera and red iris.
"There, I've planted Reo's teeth at— "
"Enough! Look what you did!" Shu yelled. "The smeared blood all across the kitchen floor!"
Dark Valt turned his head slowly to Shu and grinned widely. "Don't worry about it. It's just that your number came up and, well, I don't make rules. We can't turn back now."
Shu was tearing up. How could this be happening?
"Aww, don't be sad Shu~" cooed Dark Valt. "Look, this'll cheer you up. I brought you a friend. He's lying on the ground right over there." He ran to a unconscious Valt and dragged him in front of Shu.
Shu gaped in shock. "Valt....?"
"Hey, Valtryek lets do this together. We're gonna win. Rush, rush, rush." Dark Valt mimicked. "That's right, you took him out. Remember when I left for about twenty minutes? That wasn't enough time to play with him of course; I had to wait till after the party to do that. But boy am I glad I did. It was worth it for the flavor alone. Flesh taste like a piece of meat at once, it's amazing. I know he didn't have a number like everyone else, but when was I gonna get another chance to try your little pity friend? I probably should have asked where he came from so I could have gotten more, but I kinda forgot. I'll tell you what though, he was quite the fighter. He lasted a long time, which was a lot of fun for me. I got the chance to play with somebody other than a guy and try new things. It's too bad he had such a meanie mouth. He said so much bad stuff I just had to take his tongue out. You know, bad language makes for bad feelings."
Shu didn't have anything to say. He just sobbed and fell to his knees and rested his head against Valt's cheek.
"So" Valt said with an air of finality, "that's enough reminiscing. It's time to get the show started."
He marched over to Reo who was a bloody, sobbing mess. "So—sowwy, pwease—just end it," he begged.
Dark Valt grabbed a knife and walked over to Reo's right hip. His eyes went wide with terror as the white haired put a tortured smile on his face.
Without any flair, He placed the blade an inch above Reo's skin and began a circular cut around it. Reo shouted in pain and tried desperately to pull away, but he held her still. Finishing the incision, a creepy version of Valt grabbed a curved skinning knife from the tray. Screwing up his face in concentration, he worked it under Reo's skin and sliced the hide away from the muscle. Reo shook his head as he tearfully watched his flesh peel off. Dark Valt then moved to the other side and repeated the process on Reo's left hip. Once he had finished, Dark Valt held up both large chunks of flesh in front of his rival and started waving them like pompoms. Reo just whimpered. His thighs burned like nothing he had felt before.
Placing the ragged patches of skin down, Dark Valt selected a chopper and walked behind the orange haired male. "Hope you don't mind, I think I'm gonna wing it now," Dark Valt laughed. He grabbed Reo's left arm in her mouth and played with it for a few seconds, yanking it back so the sharp pain reignited the fire in Reo's hips. Then, stretching the arm out, Dark Valt brought the blade down hard at the base. Instantly, Reo screamed and thrashed his appendage. The movement threw off Dark Valt's aim. He tried to hit the mark again but missed, and carved a huge slice into Reo's underarm.
"Reo, you gotta stay still or I'll keep missing," scolded Dark Valt as his friend howled.
Dark took another whack and hit his target. He swung again and again. Blood sprayed into the air, but Dark Valt realized he wasn't getting anywhere. The blade just wasn't going through the bone.
"Hmm, I guess I forgot to sharpen it. I'll try something else," stated Dark Valt matter-of-factually as he tossed the knife over his shoulder, embedding the blade in the table. Through the haze of pain and tears, Reo heard the sound of a metal box opening and closing.
"Got it! Say Shu, why do they call it a hack saw? It doesn't hack; hacking is what I was doing with the knife. This is a saw. I don't get it."
Dark Valt placed the tool over the mangled flesh of the last attempt. Standing on his hind legs, he worked the saw back and forth with his hands. It sliced effortlessly through the bone and skin. The feeling of the jagged teeth grinding into him made Reo want to vomit. He watched numbly as his arm flew over his head and landed with a thud on the floor. Dark Valt moved to the next arms and started sawing. Reo didn't struggle this time; he'd given up trying to fight and focused on choking back screams of agony. Abruptly, the sawing paused. Dark Valt was only half way done, the arm hanging off by a sliver.
"Hey Reo," Dark Valt piped up. "Think fast!"
Suddenly, Dark Valt yanked the arm as hard as he could. The bone snapped but the orange haired male's skin held, then tore away. The pull ripped away a long strip of flesh all the way down Reo's back to his rump. His body seized at the unexpected trauma.
"Sorry, You lose. Hahahaha"
As his pelvis tensed up, Reo felt a warm release between his legs, and his loud, unending melody of pain filled the room. Unable to catch his breath for the last time, he was dead.

"Reo?" Shu asked, but there was a deadly silence. Through the crack he could make out the faint outline of a person, and turn around.
Reo was on the ground, propped up and sitting in the corner, his skin pale and white, his bright ocean eyes staring wide at the door that Shu had just came through.
He stood there and stared at him in complete shock. It was the first time he had ever seen a dead body outside of a casket. It just looked so void and lifeless. He noticed blood on the carpet, and that his fingernails were split and bleeding, pried back from his finger in some places. He somehow managed to find the light switch and flick it on, that's when he saw it.
"THE END IS THE BEGINNING"
It was carved deeply into the wood next to him. the white haired blader stared at it just long enough to see what it said when the smell hit him. The most foul thing he had ever smelled, and in that moment it all set in and he felt more nauseous than he ever have in his life.
He sprinted out into the hallway and vomited immediately. Shu stood there bent over vomiting when Valt woke up, restoring his consciousness, and gasped when he saw me. "H-hey Shu! Are you-"
"CALL 911!" Shu yelled to him, vomiting again. Valt quickly stood up before ran to get the phone and Shu tried to make his way down the hallway to the lobby, stopping every 20 or so feet to gag.

When the emergency responders came they pronounced him dead at the scene. They must have been used to this sort of thing because they didn't seem too phased by it.
Isan gave a statement to the police and told them, and that he was checking in. They didn't seem too suspicious and told him that if they needed anything else they would call. Valt and Shu packed all his thing and walked to the car. As Mrs. Aoi started to pull out a car came screeching into the parking lot and They saw a girl get out. It was Lilia. She was bawling and screaming and a few officers had to restrain her.
"THAT'S MY BIG BROTHER! NO PLEASE GOD NO!" She yelled as she tried to fight through the policemen. They watched as much as I could bear and drove out of the parking lot.
They stopped at the store to pick up some groceries and drove them to Valt's house. They went upstairs to Valt's room sat there on the bed in silence for a long time.

It was getting late. Valt slowly fell asleep, resting his head on Shu's shoulder. Shu took off his light blue body warmer and yellow beaded headband and put his bluenette best friend to bed, then he took off his black coat and removed his black tie. He laid there next to him thinking about Reo, about his pale lifeless body propped up in the corner staring at him with those big green eyes, about his last message "the end is the beginning" echoing through his brain trying to find a rhyme or reason to it. His thoughts were growing slower and his eyelids growing heavy. "the end is the beginning" playing over and over in his head. Shu felt himself just listing off to sleep, turning to Valt before put his arm on him when he heard it. From no where and everywhere all at once.
