The day of the celebration arrived soon and just as the duke said a huge party was held.

The entire mansion was decorated beautifully and all the nobles who came brought precious gifts with them as well.

"Sur Simon I hope you are okay now" It was Zhehan who spoke, Simon smiled feeling a little embarrassed,

"I thank you for your help last time Marquis."

"Anytime Sir Simon."

The two talked for a whole before the emperor and the empress with the first prince and second prince arrived.

"Duke Seth, I just say you have really done well," The emperor said.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." The duke and duchess bowed.

Soon the count's family arrived as well and Sapphire went after Simon this time in the presence of Duke and Emperor.

"Sir Simon, please accept my greetings."

Simon smiled, "How have you been lady Sapphire?"

"I have been well Lord Simon, I am glad to meet you today. My lord, would you like to dance with me?"

Simon smiled and took a sip of his drink, "I am afraid I have to reject your offer, my lady, I don't like and don't know dancing"

Sapphire clenched her teeth and Simon only smiled at her

After a few seconds, the Duke also made an announcement. "Ladies and gentlemen as you all know today I have held this party in order to announce the return of my two precious sons.

My eldest son Simon Wen WeiXiao and My youngest son Sean Zhan WeiXiao."

The crow clapped and expressed their happiness towards the duke's family, the duchess who was insignificant to the duke only stuck with her children while the empress stood beside duke and spoke, "The duchess seems to have changed Duke."

The duke drank his wine while the empress continued, "Only if your children had returned earlier the duchess might not be so insignificant to you duke, alas, in the end, it's your children who took your wife away from you, it's all their fault don't you think?"

After completing her sentence the empress walked away while the duke thought about what she said it is true that all the cause for his sadness was the two children his wife gave birth to, it is because of them that Irenes hated him and despised him and changed her self.

All because if they were above then they should have come back earlier but they didn't only if they had come earlier Irene wouldn't have turned out like this.

The duke saw how the duchess smiled and interacted actively with the sons while he was left all alone and given the cold treatment, years ago when he had fallen in love with her he had sworn to kill anything that came between them even if it is his own flesh and blood he killed his own brother killing his children would be no big deal.

"How are you prince Yibo?" Zhehan asked the prince who smiled at him,

"I am fine marquis how have you been?"

"I am fine as well, by the way, I have heard that you have a deep friendship with Young master Zhan?"

"Yes, that's true marquis."

Zhehan smiled, "So the young master has chosen his stand ."

"Well yes he has, and when are you going to choose your stand, Marquis."

"I like to be neutral your highness."

"It won't be any good help to you in future marquis."

"Le that the future worries be in future, your highness."

"Your Highness" A deathly pale voice invaded Yibo's ear and he saw his nanny standing behind him with a smile.

But something seemed off her smile didn't seem genuine and she looked in pain, "nanny how come you are back so soon? are you ok? is everything alright?"

"Everything is okay your highness" Nancy spoke and added, "Would you like me to bring you another drink, your highness?"

"No need you seem tired and..."

"It's okay your highness let me do it for you," Nancy then went to bring another drink for Yibo who was worried for her and even Zhehas noticed that something was oof about Nancy.

She soon came back and gave the drink to Yibo, Yibo smiled at her and drank the drink without any hesitation,  "Your highness?"

"Yes."

"Do you remember how I promised to stay by your side for a long time and even serve your kids?"

"Yes I do," Yibo said with a smile but his smile dimmed when he saw his nanny's face which was covered with tears while she was still smiling, "I am sorry, your highness I can't fulfill that promise," she said and burst into tears.

Yibo panicked, "What...*cough*" Yibo couldn't complete his sentence because he suddenly coughed blood he looked at the nanny with shock who cried harder.

Yibo felt his insides burn and his spin as he fell backward but thankfully Zhehan caught him, "YOUR HIGHNESS!!"

His scream caught the attention of everyone and soon the happy mood was replaced with terror as Yibo collapsed on the ground, "Why....

Zhan also ran to him and held him in his arms, "Your highness!!! your highness!!!"

But Yibo didn't look at him he only looked at Nany who was held by Azrael the empress's knight, "I gave him black venom which has no cure."

Everyone froze including Zhan, "YOUR HIGHNESS!!" he said and even Jack sat beside him and looked at Nancy, "Why nancy?"

But before Nancy could say anything the empress slightly nodded at Azrael who took out his sword right in front of Yibo and in one move beheaded Nancy right in front of his eyes.

Nancy's head soon collided with the floor and lone tears slipped from Yibo's eyes, Zhan also saw everything but couldn't do anything he suddenly ran to his room with full speed and came back with a small bottle in his hand he opened the bottle and tried to make Yibo drink it.

"What's this?" The emperor asked Zhan didn't bother to answer he just took the medicine into his mouth and grabbed Yibo's face and parted his lips with his fingers before connecting his mouth with Yibo's and pouring all the medicine into Yibo's mouth.

After Zhan fed the medicine to Yibo the atmosphere became silent again, "What did you give him young master Zhan?" the empress asked.

Zhan who was muddleheaded took a minute before answering he can't be reckless, "This is a special medicine given to me by Emeral Churchill"

Everyone looked at Emeral who was still in shock but soon recovered herself and read the situation before nodding. While Adeena looked at her and Zhan with suspicion.

This time the first prince spoke, "This woman gave brother black venom and we all know that it has no..." Before he could complete Yubo suddenly coughed and slowly opened his eyes which shocked everyone in the room, especially the first prince and the empress, even Adeena paled.

Yibo slowly sat up and the first thing he saw was his Nanny;'s beheaded body, he clenched his fists, and suddenly bowed before the emperor, "Your Majesty, please allow my Nanny to be buried respectfully."

"What are you saying prince? she tried to kill you"

"Your Majesty as your son this is my first and the last request, please....she is like my mother to me please your Majesty" 

The emperor pities Yibo and nods, "Alright, knights take the body away and give her a proper burial"

After that Yibo stood up, "Your majesty if you allow then can I Stay at the duke's residence tonight I don't think I can even move my body"

The emperor nodded, and looked duke, "Sure your highness you have suffered a great calamity you need rest."

"I will show him his room."Zhan said, "Follow me, your highness."

Yibo nodded and went after Yibo and soon after that the party ended.
