Queen rushed to her garden when she found out what happened, once she came inside, of course, she saw the burns in the garden.

And the air smelled like rotting corpses, she ran towards the house and made her way in, towards the living room, where she saw the princess sitting on the sofa with her back facing Cassandra.

"Lilith," Cassandra called out and Lilith finally looked stood up to see her mother.

With eyes, pure black, back as Abyss, only and only Darkness was in it and no ounce of light just pure and sinister darkness, with a third eye on her forehead it was also black but in the middle was red-eye, as if a person was hiding inside that darkness and seeing outside with her red eyes.

The dark veins that were covering her neck instead of Skin were like sinister roots of darkness sucking on her, mouth wide, wider than the normal. 

"Mother." Her voice was sweeter than honey perfect for a demon to lure someone in and then trap them.

"Oh, my daughter," Cassandra said and hugged her, "Are you okay?"

"Yes, mother I am fine" 

Cassandra smiled but then yelled at the guards, "WHO THE HELL WAS THA PERSON AND HOW CAN YOU LET THEM ESCAPE YOU ALL USELESS SWINES TELL ME WHO SHE AS ELSE I'LL KILL YOU ALL."

The guards shivered, "Your majesty we really didn't know anything about that person we really don't. It was a woman that's all we know..."

Cassandra sighed, "Bunch of fools! utterly stupid bastards." She said, "Call Rufus, We need to tell him because whoever that person was we need to find them and kill them."

She ordered and her guard went to call the Saint of the temple.

"Mother doesn't be angry please... here see what I made for you." She said and presented a beautifully decorated dish in front of the Quee.

The Queen sighed and smiled at her daughter,  who spoke, "The toddler that was bought in today was healthy and hence it will be good" she said and cut a piece before giving it to Cassandra, who took the spoon and tasted the meat, she closed her eyes and moaned with delights, "It's really great Lilith."

"Thanks, mother," Lilith said with a smile and ate with her mother.

A few times later another presence was heard in the room.

"You are finally here Rufus," The Queen said.

There he was the saint of the temple, complete dark skin as the night and with golden lines on his skin, one blue and one black eye and long hairs with the golden necklace shining like the start shine in the night sky making the beautiful.

Rufus Huxley.

"I heard what happened."

"You did... we good I don't have to repeat what happened today was not good Rufus."

"I know."

"If this place is discovered by those bastards we can get into trouble... deep trouble."

"I know."

"When you know then DO SOMETHING!" she yelled, "Your experiments and rituals have landed us here."

Rufus laughed, "My fault? really Queen?... this thing..." he said as he pointed at Lilith, "Was created by you... when you were trying to do an experiment because you were bored and you wanted to see what would happen if you practiced curses while being pregnant."

Cassandra smiled, "At least I was successful." she said and smiled at her daughter, "I am proud of my creation while you? you wanted to create a favored one where is it? huh? were you able to do that? your rituals and knowledge id fake at this point now."

"Don't you dare to say that...  the records that I have were written by the first ruler of the world Silas how can they be fake? they were passed down from Silas's bloodline."

"Then where is the favored one? if after so many sacrifices and rituals if the favored is till not here then that means that your documents are false."

"Or maybe the favored one is already born," Rufus replied.

Cassandra raised a brow, "Well, Yibo's son... you checked him right? you check him on your own right? what happened? he was a normal child. Because you were so sure I issued a decree for Yibo tog et married to that woman Aurelia... so I did my best it is you who failed."

Rufus looked down and sighed, "So are you suggesting to stop the experiments."

"For some time, yes, with the downfall of nobility and bandits, and the increasing influence of duke Yibo, we can get into trouble."

Rufus laughed, "That bastard...how we kill him"

Cassandra spoke, "Well Callum tired, and look what happened."

Rufus looked at her, "Wait so you mean that Yibo was the reason that Nobility crumbled?"

Cassandra smiled, "I investigated the matter and the attacks started happening after Yibo was attacked by Callum and I also talked to Jasper the leader of bandits who clearly blamed everything on Callum.

And I have known Callum for years he wasn't that stupid to kill his own people And guess what the Xander and Sage the new count and Marquis they were founded by Zhan, Philip was also saved by Yibo,  do you think it's a coincidence?... it was Yibo and his team I am sure if it."

"What a terrifying bastard he is," Rufus said.

Cassandra spoke, " That's why Rufus we cannot be careless, Yibo is not like his father he is cruel and won't mind killing a few innocents to reach and that's his strength... if we are going after his son then make sure that Simon is the favored one and if not then leave them alone."

Rufus thought a little before saying, "Isn't it possible that Yibo switched the children at birth?"

Cassandra looked at Rufus it actually made sense and Rufus added, "With how clever and cunning bastard he is it won't be tough for him to figure out Aurelia after all she was the woman he slept with and stayed for days so maybe..."

Cassandra nodded, "It makes sense, he can do this... but what now we cannot ask him to bring his son to the temple."

Rufus smirked, "Or maybe we can..."

Cassandra looked at him, Rufus smirked, "You just have to rider him to take his son and if his son is normal then he should have no problem right?"

"And what if he is the favored one? then are you going to snatch him?"

Rufus smiled, "Well that little child must be hungry for his mother's love and Aurelia can manipulate him, it won't be long before he willingly comes to us..."

Cassandra smirked, "Now that's a good idea..." she and Rufus looked at Lilith, "A favored one and child of darkness with immense power, with such great powers on our side we can conquer the heaven..." The Queen laughed with thrill, "How exciting."

Lilith just stood there with a smile and Cassandra spoke, "My daughter if only you hadn't helped Cheng escape then we could have made him stay here as well."

"I am sorry mother." 

"No worries dear, He will be back here soon and along with him his brother...Zhan...honestly both the brothers are just amazing."

Rufus rolled her eyes, "They are the age of your children."

"Doesn't matter. "

Wen Qing felt immense pain in the area where her wound was, it was burning and so were her insides this was very bad...

"Miles..." she tried to speak but her tongue had gone numb and she tried to get out of bed but fell on the floor.

"Your Highness are you okay?" Miles asked.

"Get me out of here we have to leave the place right now."

"But why? you are not well."

"That's the reason if Queen mother found out she will come to check and she might know that I was there in the garden... and the royal doctor will also tell her... she will doubt me that's why we have to get out right now before the news spread that I am sick."

Wen Qing said, "Bring my clothes."

She said and Miles nodded, Wen Qing somehow got ready and walked normally her face was pale deathly pale like a corpse. And a black liquid came out of her wound non-stop.

"Your highness, can you walk?"

"I have to." Wen Qing said and with great pain, she decided to walk to somehow get out of the palace.

"Elder sister." Wen Qing sighed and cursed her fate. "what?"

The prince smiled, "Why so angry? the Queen's mother is angry because someone ruined her garden do you have any idea about it."

"Isn't it you? I mean you love to destroy things."

The prince scoffed and Wen Qing felt dizzy, "I don't have time to talk to you so get lost, I will see you someday else.'

She said and walked away from there without bothering to listen to the Prince she nearly ran.

Once outside she sat on her horse and cried because of pain but still managed to come out of the palace.

"Where are we going princess?" Miles asked.

"I don't know."

"But you need to get treated."

"I know...but If I die today I don't want to die in the palace."
