I was walking towards the library to return a book, when I spotted a sign.

Halloween Dance!

The 31st of October is the annual Halloween Dance!

Come with a partner! Come in a costume! Have fun!

Hm. Maybe I should ask Signe. Wait, do I like Signe? Does she like me?

I checked the date. It's Friday, October 13. (Yeah, I know. JASON!) Wait, today the guys are staying at my house!

I pulled my phone out. I went to our Whatsapp group.

Me: Hey guys, are you coming to my house today?
Signe: Yep.
Amy: Yes!
Bob: Obviously!
Ken: Yes
Mary: Yas!
Mandy: Que pregunta es esa?
Molly: Mandy, WHAT WAS THAT?! And yes I'm coming!
Amy: Same Molly, Same and Yes
Wade: Yep
Felix: YES YOU IRISH POTATO!
Marzia: Si
Mark: Not you too Marzi and hell yeah!
Me: Okay! And Felix, YOU ARE ONE HAIRY SWEDISH MEATBALL!
Felix: Hey!

Okay, at least they're coming.

Maybe I should ask Signe... No.... I know it... She'll reject me.

Time skip to lunchtime:

It was already lunchtime. I went to my locker to grab my lunch money. I ran to the lunchroom and then bumped with someone. It was.... Charlene.

"Oh! Hi Seán!" She said with a smile.

I glared at her. "What do you want?"

"Oh, nothing much. I was just wondering if you could come with me to the Halloween Dance since I know you don't have someone"

"Seriously?!" I said mad.

"What?!" She said confused.

"Do you really think that I would go with you?! After all you have done to me?!"

She bit her lip.

"Well... I-i... um.."

"NO! And I do have someone!"

She suddenly looked pissed.

She was totally not mad! (That was sarcasm)

"Who is it?! Is that bitch of Signe?! That stupid glasses freak?!"

"Maybe it is. Maybe not. And if you're forgeting, I'm wearing glasses in front of you. So you're calling me glasses freak"

"Ugh! You will be sorry!"

"That's what she said!" I joked.

"UGH!" She said as she stomped all the way to her friends.

I sighed. Thank god she leaved. She's like a living hell!

So many time skips!!!

I told everyone to meet me in my house around 5:00 pm. Everyone agreed.

I cleaned the house, shopped for snacks and found my siblings old sleaping bags. Maybe I could use them.

It is now 4:39 pm. Still 21 minutes left!

"Now what?" I asked myself.

Maybe I should practice what would I say to Signe IF I ask her to be my partner. (Which there's a 99.9 % chance that she'll say no)

I walked to the bathroom and went to the mirror.

"Hey Signe? I was wondering if you would like to... um... go to the dance.... with me?"

I kept practicing those words over and over again.

Time skip and Signe's POV:

I arrived around 4:55 pm. I knocked on the door and waited. After a while, Jack opened the door and his face turned red.

"H-hi S-Sig-gne!"

"Hello!"

"Soooo, co-come i-in!"

I entered to his house while he closed the door.

"So, wanna help me get Felix and Marzia together?"

"S-sure!"

"Seán, are you okay? Your face is red and you're suttering a lot"

"Oh! I'm f-fine!"

"Sure?"

"S-sure!"

"Okay..."
