I gathered myself and said as sweetly as I could,

"Hi Nelson." He said,

"Bina, Bina, Bina! How are you?" I chuckled.

"I'm really good! It sounds like you're doing great."

"I am! I'm talking to a beautiful girl - that's you of course - and I'm working on my music." We ended up talking for 40 minutes and we laughed with the ease that we had when we first met at Michael's house, and it felt really good. We fell silent, and I didn't know what to say next, but I didn't want it to end. Just before I was going to say goodbye, Nelson jumped in and said,

"Look, it was cool hanging out with you, so let's do it again. Come with me to the movies." My breath got caught in my throat, and before I could respond, he said,

"Have you seen The Exorcist?"

"No...?"

"Well I've seen it twice, and it still scares the beejeebers out of me! Let's go tonight!"

"Sure!" It was quiet, but I could almost hear him dancing around, before he came back to the phone, completely composed.
