I finally made it back home. Thank goodness Nelson makes a great distraction. Nobody was home though. Not mother. Nor a brother. No one. Where was everyone, I thought. I heard something like a scuffle going on outside. It sounded like some of the fans were yelling. I peeked out of my window and saw my family down there. They were all facing each other as if at a standoff. Then I looked and saw mother. She was crying and had a bag in her hands. She made her way over to a car that was packed full in the trunk as Joseph followed her. She bat him away, but he still was speaking to her with a strained voice. Latoya had taken Janet and pulled her inside like she was trying to shield her. I wanted to go down, but I didn't want to miss anything. I took my chances and ran down the stairs, blowing past Latoya and Janet. I got downstairs in just enough time to watch the black car pull from out of the gates. I saw my mother's profile in the back seat. I tried to run after her, but I didn't dare run outside of the gates again. I looked on to see her car mobbed by fans, and then the gates shut. What the heck just happened? Better yet, what did Joseph do to mother? I swear if he hurt her... Marlon had his face in his hands and Tito pinched the bridge of his nose and paced in frustration. I looked at Joseph. It was the closest I had ever seen him to tears. His expression hardened as he parted his lips to speak,

"Do whatever you want today..."
