I will always love you chapter: 55 Bina POV

I left the room swiftly, hoping that he didn't see my absolute fear. I had panicked. I am protective of my unfinished work and the thought of letting someone else - someone who is accomplished like him - listen to that tape is just horrifying. When I got to the supply closet in the bathroom, I wiped my face with a cool cloth and I found the cotton balls. When I got back he was in the same place that I had left him, but he looked distraught. He looked up at me and said,

"I'm sorry, I really am. I had no idea that..." He trailed off. I took a chance to trust him and I told him,

"You didn't do anything wrong, it's just I'm... a little insecure about my unfinished work." He looked up at me confused.

"What do you mean?" he said.

"On that tape is a song I wrote, Someday." Recognition spread across his face and barely audibly, he mumbled,

"Your dream... that you were going to tell me about is to sing." I nodded. "I know exactly how you feel. I'd like to hear you sometime, if you are willing?"

"You know what? I might just take you up on that offer! Now let's get this makeup off of you before they start to think that we fell down a rabbit hole." He chuckled and I poured some remover on a cotton ball and I began to wipe his face. I was so focused on getting every bit that I didn't notice how close I was to his face. I studied him. I looked at the curve of his eyebrows, the structure of his jaw, the bend of his nose, and his iridescent brown eyes that would go from cloudy to clear, or vice versa, in a second. I thought he was quite beautiful. I traced the edge of his jawline with the cotton ball, picking up the last bit of foundation before finishing taking off the lipstick. His eyes had been fixated on the ground throughout most of the time. I did catch him glance at me a few times though; those eyes would strike nervousness in me. I brought the drenched cotton ball to his mouth, and gently rubbed it over his lips. My fingers briefly brushed his top lip and then he looked up at me. I gave a weak smile and continued as if nothing happened. He began to study me and I became uncomfortable under his gaze. I broke the silence.

"Ok, you're no longer Latoya!" I handed him a mirror and he chuckled stretching his cheek from side to side, checking out my work. He set the mirror down and said,

"Thank you." But it sounded like he was thanking me for more than cleaning his face. He got up and took one of my hands in both of his and said.

"Thank you for telling me." I started to fidget again.

"You're welcome." I said, looking at the ground. He released my hand after a moment and then buried his in his pockets.

"Um, they're probably waiting for us." He said uncomfortably.

"Yeah... uh, let's go."
