48.) I Will Always Love You Chapter: 48

I will always love you chapter: 48 Michael POV

I know it's a bad habit, but I learn so much more about people this way. I walked over to his nightstand and I gently pulled out the drawer. Inside it was sectioned into 3 immaculate rows. One contained an assortment of Afro picks. The second had a spray bottle, and I could tell that it was filled with olive oil and water, a typical afro hydrant we all use. The last had 2 identical mirrors in it, but they were both faced down. It figures, he's always concerned with his looks. Just as I was reaching down to touch it, I heard a bird chirping right outside of Nelson's window. It was beautiful; Bright yellow unlike any other I had ever seen before. I walked over to it mystified by its beauty. It sang a few songs and entertained me for a minute, but Nelson bursting through the door scared me, and the bird flew away.  I jumped a little and turned toward him, but then I realized that I hadn't closed his drawer. While still holding the doorknob he asked,

"Hey Mike, want any juice or water or anything?" Thankfully he seemed to not notice my mistake and I wanted him to get out before he did.

"Uh no, I'm good." I tried to sound as normal as possible. He turned his head back and shouted,

"No, he doesn't want any... Huh? Okay I'll ask..." He turned back to me again.

"Do you want any snacks like chips or a sandwich?"

"Oh no, I'm fine Thank you." I really wanted to say 'would you kindly leave already!'

"Ok. Well I'm going to be a few more minutes getting the supplies together. I'll be back!" He finally shut the door and left. After I had heard his footsteps disappear I bolted back to the other side of the room and slowly closed the drawer. As I went to sit back down, I noticed a small music box on top of the dresser across from his bed. I went to examine it. It featured a 1950s style date at a diner. During my examination, I couldn't help but notice the partially open drawer beneath. I listened again for any sign of interruption, and then I proceeded to open the drawer fully. Inside was an intricately carved wooden box. I went to open it, but it was locked and there was no key around. As I was about to give up hope, I saw a corner of a paper beneath. I slid it out and saw that it was a letter entitled,

"Dear Bina..."

<3<3 Hey you guys! I just wanted to clarify in case some of you didn't know. I'm not making up the fact that Michael did go through peoples drawers. He thought that he could find out more about the person by doing that than they would ever say out loud. I also wanted to thank you all for the reads and votes! <3<3
