I Will Always Love You Chapter: 17

Bina POV

I would have slept longer, but anticipation wouldn't allow me that courtesy. I tossed awake too many times to count, but finally I woke up around 8:30. I followed my routine and put on my dress,  but after washing my face I decided to put on makeup.

It still felt odd on my face. Whenever my sisters tried to force me out of my tom-boy-ness by slapping makeup and skirts on me, I wouldn't budge. But recently I've been studying Pam Grier's makeup in the magazines  and she inspired me to try something new. My sisters were elated when I let them in on my discovery and they've been helping me with techniques.

I powdered my face, put on a little blush and some rosy lipstick. I put on mascara and then I was finished.  Eyebrows and contour were not my strong points. I walked downstairs and overheard my mom talking on the phone,

"Oh don't worry, that sounds like a better plan. The girls get to sleep in and we get to meet all of our new neighbors... Uh huh... Oh no he will be at the club again, we'll get him out here soon though... Uh huh... Okay, we will all come to see you at 3? Alrighty well I will be over shortly, bye Kate." I was wondering what this meant. Were we going at 3 now?

"Hey mom!" I chirped from across the room.

"Good morning baby! How did you sleep? Oh my! You are mighty done up!"

"I slept well. I was getting ready for the party, at 11 but it's at 3 now?"

"I was just speaking to Ms. Kate on the phone and it seems that word got around the neighborhood about the party and neighbors are coming out to meet us later on. You have time to rest if you want." She said while stroking my hair.

"Oh. Well I'm actually up..."

"Kate said that Michael was up too. Both of you are excited, huh?" She eyed me, clearly amused.
