For the past weeks, Trunks and Mai had been hanging out. They both get to know each other and get along. Mai enjoyed seeing Trunks everyday. She bonded greatly with Trunks and getting to know especially seeing him more than just a overprotective stalker. She may feel kinda betraying Black, but for some reason, deep inside, she doesn't care. Hanging out with Trunks made her feel happy than she's with Black.

And he made her more safe too..

Mai and Trunks are sitting on a bench that's by a big oak tree, covering them from the sun with its branches full of leaves at a peaceful quiet park. They're eating their favorite ice cream together, admiring the view in the park than look to a small pond where a mother ducks and her babies are swimming.
"Such a lovely day to come here." Mai said softly.
"It sure is. I love coming here. It helps calms me down. Gets rids of my worries from what's happening in my life. This place is a stress reliever in my opinion." Trunks chuckled than sigh. "My mother and I used to come here even when I was a kid. Heh, when I was little, we always play tag, horsy back rides and feed the ducks. But since she's sick, we can't do those activities anymore.." He looks down, restraining himself from crying, but felt a gentle touched on his shoulder. He looks up and sees Mai stroking his shoulder, calming him down.
"She's gonna be fine." She smiles softy.
Trunks gave a quick nod and smiled back.
An idea popped up on Mai's head. She let's go of his shoulder then gets up.
"M-Mai? Where are you go-" Trunks was cut off when Mai pulled him up and bring him to the pond. Trunks was confused when she handed him a small half loaf while she has the other half. She grabbed a piece of loaf than kneel down to a small duck in a pond that's close to her.
"Hey cutie. Want some of..this?" She lightly laughed. The little duck slowly came up to Mai and take nibble on the bread.
Trunks got the idea of what she's doing so he's doing the same thing to a duck that walked up to him.
"Hey there little guy." Trunks greeted. He threw lightly at the duck than ate it.
They both continued feeding them until the bread is gone.
"Oof sorry you guys! We ran out of bread, but tomorrow I promised we will bring another loaf! But this time a large one!" Mai smiled brightly. They both turned around and started walking. "Well, isn't that fun?" Mai looked at Trunks. "Yeah it was! It's been such a long time since I enjoyed feeding those ducks. Thanks Mai." Trunks looked at Mai and his eyes widen.
Her face was bright as ever. Her smile was upward. Her eyes beaming. Everything on her face is what she needed. Happiness.

And Trunks find her beautiful like this.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." She giggled softly.

Trunks looked away and Mai thought she saw a small blushed crept on his face. It warmed her up seeing Trunks like this.

Being cute.

"S-so hey what do you wanna do now-"
Mai jumped on Trunks back and started playfully kicked his side, "Giddy up!"
"Ow! Mai! What are you doing!?" Trunks grunted.
"I say giddy up!" She kicked him again but this time abbot forced.
"Ugh alright! Will you stop kicking please?" He grabbed the back of her two legs from behind and started running around the park.
"Yeee haaaa!" Mai yelling like a small child who's having so much fun.
"At least your having fun. I'm j-just really exhausted from c-carrying you around.." Trunks panted while running.
"Hey are you calling me fat!" Mai hit his head.
"N-no! Of course not! I-I was-"
"Haha I know you weren't. I was only kidding, calm down." Mai laughed which made Trunks' heart beat skip a beat.
He may be tired and exhausted, but it's worth it seeing Mai like this.

Trunks than felt something rubbing his head. He looked up and see Mai snuggling up against his hair while hugging around his neck. "M-Mai? What are you doing?" Trunks flustered.
Mai immediately pulled her head away and looks down at trunks, "O-ohhh I'm sorry! It's just that....you smelled nice and warm..." she looks away in embarrassment of what she did. She kept telling herself why she did that. Hoping that Trunks don't find her weirdo. She heard him laughed then look down again.
"It is? Haha i always thought they're dirty since I haven't showered for 2 days." He gave her a big smiled which's telling her it's alright.

Soon Trunks stopped laughing when he felt his back being now lightly. He turned around and saw Mai standing front of him.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
Mai said nothing then gently tapped his shoulder, "Tag. Your it!" She ran way from him.
Trunks grin, "Hey come back here!" He chased after her, but not too fast since he already ran while carrying her on his back. He stopped and take a quick brake then started chasing her again. She's a fast runner but not as fast as him!
Once he was close to get to her until she ran the other way where bunches of trees and started climbing on one of them.
"Uh Mai! That's not fair!" Trunks yelled up.
"Hey the rules are "avoid being tagged" so I'm avoiding you from tagging me!" She stick her tongue out but she didn't realized that Trunks had already climbed up too and touched her leg.
"Ha! Now your it!" He quickly climbed down and run away.
"Whaa! Errrghhh!" Mai jumped down from the bark of the tree and chasing trunks. Trunks looked behind and starts running faster. Mai couldn't keep up with him then slowing down.
He looked behind again and sees he lost tracked of Mai.
"Hehe I knew she will never get to me-" he then fall to the grassy ground, being pushed down by a heavy (not too heavy) body, being tackled down.
"Ha! Now your it." She smirked.
Trunks finally turned after a little struggle and sees Mai, hovering him.
"Wait! How? How did you catch up to me? I saw you slowing down. You weren't behind me..h-how did you-" Mai stopped him by pressing his lips with her finger.
"Geez, you need to stop with the questions for once! Your giving me a headache." Mai said annoyed.
"S-sorry heh" Trunks laughed nervously.
Mai sighed, "it's simple. I diagonally ran across the park then turned left where you are. It's preterm much a short cut."
"I see." Trunks looked at the position he's in and started blushing in deep red.
Mai is clearly hovered above him with one of her legs between his legs and her arms between his head. He can see that she had some curves from her upper body to below including that firmed ass. What was he doing? Is he being a pervert or what? Trunks quickly stopped glancing at her body and looked up at Mai instead. She was close to him. Real close. Trunks can even see her bare cleavage close to his face which he immediately looked away, embarrassed.
"Hey are you okay?" Mai asked worriedly.
"Y-yeah yeah I'm fine. Can y-you please...g-get off of me?" He asked, still looked away.
"Oh yeah! Whoops I forgot about it!" She quickly gets off of him and helps him get up.
"Thanks" Trunks looked down, still embarrassed.
Mai turned to her side and see the sun set.
"We better go. It's going to be night time soon and it's a school night!" She than walks out along with Trunks who he agreed too.
As they're walking, none of them have said a word. It's getting really awkward until Trunks finally said something.
"So um why did we do all those activities that I used to do? It's not that I don't enjoyed them! I had a really fun time...I was just wondering..." Trunks nervously asked.
"Well, I wanna bring back your old childhood memories. Where you actually had fun with a big smiled and joyful laughter like nothing ever happened. Your good at hiding your emotions but I know behind that smile of yours, your depressed. Scared, sad, and worry so much about everything. That's no way to treat yourself. It's bad to bottled up all your emotions. So I had to let them out by doing all those fun activities where you can be happy again." Mai said with a small smile.

Trunks eyes widen. He did not know that she can easily read him. He didn't wanna show his concern facial expression when she's around because she doesn't want to worry her. She had enough to deal with. He gave her a light smile.
"Thank you, Mai"
"Don't thank me. I'm doing this because I care about you." Mai said.
They both made a turn where her apartment is and walked up the stairs to her door.
"I had...such a wonderful time with you, Trunks." She blushes a bit and had a small smile.
"So do I." He replied.
He was about to leave until Mai stopped him.
"Wait! Before you go...." Mai took a step closer to him than tip toed up while having her hands on his shoulders. She leaned closed to him and pecked his cheek.

She pulled alway slowly then rested her heals down while looking up at him. "Goodnight, Trunks."

Trunks was surprised. Unable to move nor speak until he was brought back from a smoothing voice.
"Trunks?"
"O-o-oh! S-sorry! G-good n-night t-to y-you t-t-oo!" He waved to her than quickly went down stairs.
What just happened went too fast. It happened like a blink in a eye! Did it really happened? Was it all just a dream? But it couldn't be. It felt so real. The way she did it was was....

Amazing.

He held his cheek where she placed it and smiled brightly.

He can't wait to see her again tomorrow.
