💗Chapter One🔮
💗🖤💗🖤💗🖤💗🖤💗🖤
'Mrs Jannetta was so odd a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice, that the experience of three and twenty years had been insufficient to make her husband understand her character. His mind was less difficult to develope. He was a man of mean understanding, little information and uncertain temper. When he was discontented, he fancied himself nervous. The business of his life was to get his daughters married; its solace was visiting and news.'

I smile as my imagination starts to run wild, I wonder what my husband will be like. Husbands... I've never thought about that. What if I don't want one... Falling and caring for a man that thought makes me sick. I know my parents have arranged a marriage partner for me. From a rivalling civilisation, for 'alliance' purpose. Personally, I believe that is a load of idiocy. Who would marry their kids together without expecting something in return?!

I hear a crash come from outside, snapping me out of my thoughts. I get up from my bed and poke my head out of my door. As I do, I see a girl, my age or even slightly younger, standing within the corridor looking down at a shattered sculpture on the floor. Her short brown hair styled in a bob. Tied upon her head sat a purple ribbon tied into a bow. She is wearing a brown and white dress, one that looked of which was from the nearby village. She looks around and nearly sees me. After turning her head forward, she begins to run down said corridor.

I exit my room, closing my room door quietly. I begin to follow her, keeping a safe distance away from her. I end up following her down into where Mother and father keep the 'criminals'. She walks over to a cell, that of which held another girl, she had wavey long brown hair with highlights of blonde dotted around, she also had blue eyes and like all other prisoners wore mattered and beaten clothing. I hear the chains of the cell rattling as the girl tries to pull them off. "It's no use Shelbs, they're bound by some magic," The inmate says in a hushed voice "You"ll need a key to unlock it." Upon hearing her words the girl sighs. "How am I supposed to get that?" she murmurs resting her head against one of the bars. I sigh, knowing I shouldn't do this. "I have a key" I say, walking over to the girls. The 'Shelbs' girl gasps, trying to back away from me. "P-please don't lock me up!" she yells.
I sigh again "I won't, don"t worry." I say, unlocking the cell "Go to the stairs, the third exit to the left of this corridor, take a right upon reaching the fourth floor, then finally head out the back door which would be to your left. It will take you to the outside" I move out of the way as the brown- and blonde-haired girl walks out the cell. "How do we know that we can trust you?" She says with a cold tone.
"Well, that's simple. I could have easily told the numerous guards she passed that she had broke into the castle," I say pointing at the girl "but, I didn'." I look at the two, the break-in-girl standing in shock, whilst the 100%-im-a-witch-who-pissed-off-the-king girl looked down on her impressed yet disappointed. "So, do you trust me. Even if it's in the slightest?" I murmur, trying not to come off as rude. The Brown-blond haired girl sighs “What other options do we have" She says "We'll try your way. Just know the consequences if you have told someone are not something anyone would wish upon their worst enemy" Her voice turned into a snarl as the words leached from her lips.
"Alright, alright" I say slightly chuckling "See you on the flip side then"
"O-Oh! Miss, I just wanted to tha.." I hear shelbs yell from across the cell blocks. However, I had already left. I need to distract the guards before they get to them. Luckily, I decided to tell them a slightly longer way of getting out giving me time to get the guards to go out on a walk with me.

It wasn't hard to convince them. All I said was I wanted to go on a walk to the local bakery that I so loved. Bringing an impulse grabbed book along with me, so it had looked as if I had been planning this for at least 20 minutes. The book turned out to be on the royal families history. Turns out we have long history for hating witches and being highly 'religious' in the followings of our god. Letomire. But the last I checked she had a hot witch girlfriend. Yeah, Yeah. The holy book may have never directly said they where together, but why else would she make Reahsis immortal, and why else was Letomire known for making out with her instead of doing her godly duties which ended up causing all the pain and suffering man-kind has to go through. Maybe that's why my parents are homophobic as hell... maybe Reahsis was written to be a temptress who only existed to seduce Letomire. If I was Letomire, I would honestly do the same... abandon all duties for love. I rest my head in my hand when I feel a guard grasp my sholder. "Princess Kathrine, we need to leave" he says in a husk voice. "Okay." I murmur, closing my book.

Once arriving at the palace, I am quickly escorted to my room. I honestly wonder whats going on. I walk over to my window and sit on the ledge. It is a truly beautiful view, especially at dawn, the sun rises directly in the middle of the two mountains in the east of Lyndia. I dangle my feet out the window. A drop from the hight I am now could easily kill one. Now would be a great time for an assassin if they wanted me dead. Listening to the sounds of the birds chirping I blocked out my thoughts, losing myself into the peace.

Just as the sun began to set, I hear my father. Another announcement I assume. Wonder what it's on about now. "Attention citizens of Lyndia, it has been brought to my attention that there is a Traitor among us." He calls, gasps fill the crowd. "Today, a garden witch had been freed from her cell. Presumably by another witch.... and a human..."
