so I was tagged
so hi, I was tagged by this lovely person/ mosspawz. The tag thing is to share information around pets. I own two cats, not the one in my profile picture. my pfp is a meme I edited as a joke, didn't know if it'd be mistaken ;w; also, your dog is cute :>
Anyways, Here are my cats:
This is Tessi
(AAAA ITS FLIPPED >:( )
She doesn't really belong to me but my brother, yet she's still is one of our housecats.
Since the tabby pattern is a common wild type, it might be assumed that medieval cats were tabbies. However, one writer believed this to be untrue, at least in England. Sometime after the mid-17th century, the natural philosopher John Aubrey noted that William Laud, the Archbishop of Canterbury was "a great lover of Cats" and "was presented with some Cypress-cats, i.e. our Tabby-Cats". He then claimed that "I doe well remember that the common English Catt, was white with some blueish piednesse (i.e. white with grey parts). The race or breed of them is now almost lost." However, most drawings or paintings of cats in medieval manuscripts do show them to be tabbies. (this was copy and pasted from Wikipedia so oof)
Tessi came from a shelter, I don't remember her birthday or the day we got her but it was back around 2012 or 2013. unlike our other cat, she's not aloud to go outside due to her being very skittish and wanting to run away.
Speaking of my other cat, This is Sheldon.
aCK IT'S STILL FLIPPED,,, HECK
Sheldon is the main housecat, he's a huge grumpy old man and has bit my sister and father's ankles before. He has a low patience meter, especially towards other animals.
The origins of the British Shorthair most likely date back to the first century AD, making it one of the most ancient identifiable cat breeds in the world. It is thought that the invading Romans initially brought Egyptian domestic cats to Great Britain. These cats then interbred with the local European wildcat population. Over the centuries, their naturally isolated descendants developed into distinctively large, robust cats with a short but very thick coat, to better withstand conditions on their native islands. Based on artists' representations, the modern British Shorthair is unchanged from this initial type. (again, copy and pasted from Wikipedia)
Sheldon also came from the exact same shelter Tessi came from but is way older than her. he's a hard difference from our other cat, he's grumpy with a low patience but he loves to sit around for hours on people's beds. He's getting up there in age, making him cough and wheeze a bit but he's okay for the time being...
This tag game is for sharing information about your pets, not any of your information but about the animals you surrounded yourself with.
for this, I will chose to tag _Alesia_02 honestly because they had a cat pfp for a bit and I wanna know 👀
I've never done this before so AAAAAAAAAAA
