Hey guys! This is a filler chapter and guess what, Tom's gonna be in this fanfic after all. I know Jay was straight and stuff, but let's be honest, that never felt right. I talked to my boyfriend about it, and I convinced him to let me turn Jay bi! After thinking a bit of who to ship Jay with, I thought he and Tom would be really cute together. So here's that!!

Jay's Perspective-

Jay whistled as he walked out of the library.

The D&D club just finished.

He was feeling a bit sad as Jessica just broke up with him last week as she thought they would be better as friends, but he was getting over it.

Jay opened the door and it banged into someone who was opening it on the outside.

He heard someone gasp and groan along with the sound of things falling.

Jay peeked around and saw a guy on the ground, scattered items around him.

"Oh cod!" Jay said, stretching out a helping hand, "I'm so sorry!"

The guy opened his eyes and took Jay's helping hand.

"It's alright," He sighed, picking up his glasses and putting them on.

He blinked and then smiled, "That's better."

He had dark black fluffy hair, glasses, and a black hoodie on that had the Hamilton album cover on it. 

"I'm Tom." He said.

"Jay." Jay smiled before helping Tom pick up his stuff.

"Sorry about that." Jay said afterwards.

"It's alright! It happens."

Tom and Jay walked into the library and continued their talk.

"I just needed to return this book." Tom said, placing a book onto the cart before they started walking out again.

"I do feel bad though." Jay said as they walked past the place they banged into each other.

"It's fine. Really."

"Why don't you come over to my dorm? We can watch a movie and I can get some food."

Tom smiled and blushed, "Yeah sure!"

Jay let Tom into his dorm and Tom put his bag down.

"Do you just want some pizza?" Jay asked and Tom nodded.

"Okay, here gimme a sec, I'm gonna ask Scott and Jimmy if they want anything."

Jay knocked on Jimmy's door and Scott opened it.

"Oh, hi Scott. Er- I was just wondering if you guys wanted pizza for dinner."

"Sure." Scott shrugged before looking over his shoulder, "but I don't think Jim'll have anything."

"You feeling better?" Jay asked and Jimmy shrugged.

"I'll come out in a sec. I don't wanna stay in here any longer in case I get sick." Scott said and Jay nodded before walking out to Tom.

"Alright, let me order it and then I can go pick it up." Jay said and Tom nodded.

Scott then walked out of Jimmy's room, closing the door behind him.

His eyes then landed on Tom.

"Who's this? Your boyfriend?"

Jay rolled his eyes and Tom blushed.

"This is Tom. I accidentally slammed a door into him and I'm making it up to him by having him over to dinner."

Scott nodded, "Smooth."

Jay shot Scott a look and Scott laughed.

"I'm joking, I'm joking."

"Mhm. Now shush, I'm calling the pizza place now."

"Sorry about that." Jay said as he and Tom stepped into his car.

"Scott probably wants to get back at me for joking around with him and Jimmy."

"Nah, it's fine." Tom said as they started to drive.

"So what do you do for fun?" Jay asked, trying to make small talk.

"Er- well I like to read."

"Do you play D&D?"

Tom nodded, "Used to. I'm not super into it anymore, but I had a huge phase where I loved making characters, starting new campaigns and everything."

"Why didn't you join the D&D club then?"

"There's a club?"

Jay nodded.

"Oh...I didn't know that." Tom smiled sheepishly and then they fell into silence.

Tom then looked in the mirror and messed with his hair.

They stopped at a red light and Tom said,
"Do I look like a mess?"

"Pffttt! What?" Jay asked, laughing a bit.

But when he saw that Tom wasn't smiling or laughing, Jay frowned.

"Sorry, but- er- why do you think you look like a mess?"

"I..." Tom sighed, "One of my friends...well we're not friends anymore, but a person who I used to speak with said that I look like a mess."

"Oh...I'm sorry to hear that because they're lying."

Tom shook his head, "I don't think they are."

"Hey," Jay punched Tom lightly on the shoulder, making Tom look at him, "Don't worry about what that bitch said. You look great."

Tom blushed and then smiled, "Thanks, Jay."

Jay smiled, "Anytime."

The drive continued and Jay lowered his left hand onto the divider (you know the thing that's in between the front seats. Idk what it's called but like...that's what I'm talking about. Cool? Cool)

Jay then felt something on his hand and looked over.

He felt his face heat up as he held Tom's hand.

"It's gonna be okay." He said, making Tom blush.

"It's gonna be okay."

So yeah. Gay. I really like the ship of Jam. I think they're really cute together and Jay's character is definitely bi. Just like my boyfriend irl! (he's bi he just doesn't know it yet. Trust me, if you ever meet him you would say that he's bi). I hope you enjoyed this filler chapter! I think it turned out really well and it was cute. I really like it.
