Scott's Perspective-

As the year slowly started, Scott had made more and more friends.

Mostly with Eleanor's friends.

They were both very kind and Scott normally hung out with them, along with Jimmy and Eleanor.

But...for some reason, Scott could never really make friends with Jay.

No matter how hard he tried, Jay just seemed to hate him.

He had the feeling that Jay...hated him.

Scott finally ended up getting the courage to ask him, why he didn't like him.

-
"Hey Jay?" Scott walked up to Jay who just walked into their dorm after D&D club.

He raised his eyebrow and Scott noticed that that was probably the only answer he was going to get out of him.

"Er- are you- am I doing something wrong?" Scott asked.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean...you just seem to hate me."

Jay nodded.

"And I just don't know why."

"Hate's a strong word."

"Then what do you think of me?"

Jay thought for a second before saying, "I just don't like your personality."

"What do you mean?"

"I've seen the way you act around Eleanor."

"W-what? What do you mean?"

Jay folded his arms as he walked to his room, "You know perfectly well what I mean."

And he walked into his room.

Scott stood there, confused.

His phone then buzzed, and he realized that he had to get to work.

-

"Sorry I'm late." Scott sighed as he changed into his uniform.

"Nah, it's fine." Pearl said, "Just a bit busy."

Scott nodded as he walked off and started helping out the customers.

As he was running around, he accidentally bumped into someone who was walking to a seat at the bar.

He stumbled backwards and rubbed his head.

When he opened his eyes, he saw a guy with white hair and purple tips.

He wore a white shirt and a light pink jacket.

"I'm so sorry!" He said, stretching out a hand to help me up, "Are you alright?"

Scott blushed and nodded, taking the guys hand.

"So sorry about that." He smiled awkwardly.

"Oh, you got some food in your hair." He said before reaching up and dusting it off of Scott's head.

Scott blushed even more, feeling the guy's touch.

"Er- I'm Scott." He said, smiling.

"Charlie."

Just then, the bell rang, and Scott saw that he had food to deliver.

"Ah! Sorry, I gotta- "

"No, it's fine!" Charlie smiled, "Gotta get the job done, right?"

Scott smiled and blushed as he got to work.

-

Scott leaned his head onto Eleanor's shoulder as he texted Charlie.

He and Eleanor were watching a movie in Scott's dorm.

"Who're you texting?" Eleanor asked, looking at Scott's phone.

"Oh, er- a nice guy I met today at work." Scott said, shutting off his phone.

Eleanor's eyes narrowed and Scott giggled.

"It's nothing like that." Scott kissed Eleanor's cheek, but Eleanor pushed him away.

"Hey..." Scott said, looking concerned, "I promise I wouldn't cheat on you."

Eleanor nodded sadly as Jay walked out.

He yawned and stretched as he walked over to get a glass of water.

"So what's this guy's name?" Eleanor asked, ignoring the fact that Jay was there.

"Er- Charlie."

"Charlie..."

"I don't know his last name."

Eleanor nodded, "Does he go here?"

"I don't think so."

"What are you talking about?" Jay asked.

"Scott's texting a guy." Eleanor said, "I was just wondering who it was."

Scott felt his face heat up.

Jay nodded slowly and then said, "Better watch out, Eleanor."

He then walked back into his room.

Eleanor looked at Scott, fear in his eyes.

Scott smiled nervously.

"So- er- do you wanna continue the movie?" Scott asked.

Eleanor shook his head and got up.

"Babe?" Scott followed Eleanor.

"Are you alright?" Scott asked, reaching for Eleanor's hand.

Eleanor moved it away.

"Wanna go shopping?"

Eleanor scoffed, tears forming in his eyes as he looked at Scott.

"I just realized," He said, "I don't have any money cause I spent it all on you. You- you never loved me, did you?"

"What? Of course, I love you."

Eleanor shook his head, "Did you- did you just want me for money?"

"No! Eleanor, I love- "

"Yourself. You love yourself, don't you? You're- you just used me, didn't you?"

Scott froze, tears forming in his eyes.

Eleanor started crying as well.

He sighed as he wiped his eyes.

"Well?!" He demanded, "Tell me the truth!"

"I..." Scott sighed, "I didn't mean to."

Eleanor scoffed, "Oh, you didn't mean to. I- I really liked you, Scott. My friends were right. You are just a selfish playboy. You are just using me. They realized how miserable I was with you, but I never did."

His hands balled up into fists.

"You knew about this, didn't you? You knew, this entire time, how you were making me feel, yet you never stopped. I can't believe you." He spat, storming to the door, "We're over."

He slammed the door behind him, and Scott heard a sob.

Someone then clicked their tongue.

Scott jumped and turned around, seeing Jay stand in his doorframe.

"What do you want?" Scott demanded, his voice shaking as he was about to cry.

"Told you." Jay said, "And this is exactly why, you are not my friend."

"Because I just got broken up with?"

"Come on, Scott. You're not that stupid. What did Eleanor just say to you? You're a playboy, you knew you were making his life miserable, and yet you didn't stop manipulating him."

Jay turned back around to his room.

He looked over his shoulder at Scott, "This is why we're not friends."

And he shut the door behind him.
