1. Do you prefer writing with a black or blue pen?

Blue. I don't like black pen because it's the same colour as the printer ink and the lines on my paper.

2. Would you rather live in the country or the city?

How country are we talking...because I'd love the quiet, but if there's no Wi-Fi or bookstores...

3. If you could have a skill, what would it be?

I'm going to answer with a superpower — invisibility

4. Do you drink tea or coffee with sugar?

I don't drink either.

I guess I like lemon black tea but I don't add sugar to it

5. What was your favourite book as a child? 

The Lorax. I still have it mostly memorized.

6. Do you prefer baths or showers?

Baths. Especially hot ones where I can just sink in and forget everything

7. If you could be a mythical creature, what would it be?

Anything that flies! I mean as long as I don't have some demigod sent on a quest to destroy me...

8. Do you prefer reading books or electronic books?

Of course books! They can be inconvenient and I can be paranoid of ruining their spines, but I just love turning the pages.

9. What is your favourite item of clothing?

T-shirts, because they're easy. To be more specific, I like my dark grey Hard Rock shirt from Japan. It was from the men's section but I love the design

10. Do you like your name? Would you ever change it?

I like my first name, but with my last name I'm more eh...

I used to hate it because it was boring, but it started growing on me. Recently I changed my Facebook name back to my real name, instead of Claire Valdez

11. Who is a mentor to you?

My mom ^_^

12. Would you ever want to be famous? If so, what for?

I'd like to be semi-famous. Like a small Youtuber or writer. Just enough that I can feel like I've changed people's lives.

And if I were to be famous, I'd like it to be for writing stories and for hopefully being a nice person

13. Are you a restless sleeper?

Yes. I can take hours to fall asleep, which is terrible. I'm not even reading or on my phone or anything. I'm literally just lying in my bed but I can't sleep.

14. Do you consider yourself romantic?

Nope.

15. Which element best describes you?

Water I suppose. I like to move around. I'm pretty calm and relaxed.

16. Who do you want to be closer to?

All my Wattpad friends lol

17. Do you miss someone at the moment?

My IRL friends 😭

18. Tell us about an early childhood memory.

I'm trying to think of one I haven't already written about in Unboring Life...uh...

Well, when I was in 1st or 2nd grade, I lived in the same neighbourhood as another girl in my class, and we had the same gymnastics class too. I would beg my mom to let me go to the neighbourhood playground by myself so I could play Grounders with her and her friends.

That probably marked the only time I wanted to hang with the cool kids

19. What is the strangest thing you've eaten?

Bat meat.

Yeah. I don't remember where I ate it, but it wasn't very good. There was hardly any taste and it was hard to bite.

20. What can you see outside your bedroom window?

I have two bedroom windows. From the one next to my bed, I can see the other nearby apartment buildings and a street

From the one behind my bed, I can see our swimming pool, a big parking lot for an Audi store, and more streets

21. What are you most thankful for?

Pretty much everything. I live in a good country, have nice parents, have good friends, go to a good school, and have Wi-Fi.

22. Do you like spicy food?

Noooo. I can barely eat black pepper without feeling like my tongue is on fire. My whole family eats spices (my brother a little bit) but I'm the only one who just wants ice cream

23. Have you ever met someone famous?

If I did, I must've forgotten because I didn't care about them lol

24. Do you keep a diary or journal?

I've tried a few times, but couldn't keep the habit. I started a dream journal which honestly did not take a lot of effort, but I still gave up in May.

25. Do you prefer to use a pen or pencil?

Pencils, unless I want to be colourful

26. What is your star sign?

Libra ⚖️

27. Do you like cereal crunchy or soggy?

Crunchy. I like them when they've barely touched the milk

28. What would you want your legacy to be?

My books that my family doesn't want can go to charity. Same with all my clothes and things.

Also, everything I published will be my legacy too I guess xD

29. Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read?

I love reading. I was re-reading City of Heavenly Fire last night. After reading TDA, Emma's parts are more interesting now

30. How do you show someone you love them?

Constantly talking to them or being with them. When I go to other countries I buy something for them that I think they'd like. (I bought my best friend Taylor a Gryffindor scarf)

31. Do you like ice in your drinks?

YES. Otherwise, they don't taste as good. Water especially.

32. What are you afraid of?

Global warming...

Lol I'm afraid of the dark too, and bees, but the thought of everything becoming hotter just freaks me out. I'm afraid that one winter I'll look out from my house in Canada and there won't be any snow.

...not very likely, but that's my fear

33. What is your favourite scent?

Uh...swimming pools, the air at cosmetic stores and hospitals, fabric softener, leaves, clean air in general

34. Do you address older people by their first or last name?

Not really. It's weird for me. One time a teacher at a summer class told us to call him by his first name and I had to struggle. It just sounds so weird

35. If money wasn't a factor, how would you live your life?

I'd stay at home and write stories all day. I'd get a few dogs and buy my friends houses around the neighbourhood. I'd donate to reliable charities, support people on Patreon, and buy lots of books and Netflix subscriptions.

36. Do you prefer swimming in pools or the ocean?

Pools. The ocean is fun and all, but I'd be afraid of accidentally swallowing too much water and get sick

37. What would you do if you found $50 on the ground?

Knowing me, I'd leave it there if I couldn't tell who dropped it. If anyone dares to pick up a random bill here, especially in public, they must need it to some degree.

If it was at school though, and the person who left it is obviously gone, I'd drop it at the front office.

38. Have you ever seen a shooting star? Did you make a wish?

I don't think so. But I do make wishes whenever I look at the clock and it happens to be 11:11

39. What is one thing you would want to teach your children?

Be accepting — don't judge someone before you know them, and treat others the way you want to be treated

40. If you had a tattoo, what would it be and where would you get it?

Something small, so either a quote or a tiny symbol. As for where, somewhere on my arm.

41. What can you hear right now?

My own typing. My house is extremely silent.

42. Where do you feel the safest?

When I'm with people I trust, and I don't even think about being worried

43. What is the one thing you want to overcome/conquer?

My social anxiety. I panic every time I raise my hand in class, talk to the waiter, or pick up the phone

44. If you could travel back to any era, what would you choose?

The 2000s when not everybody had a cell phone.

46. What is your favourite season? Why?

Autumn! In Canada, the trees all change colour, and the leaves start falling.

In Taiwan though, winter would be my favourite because then it's actually somewhat cold

47. How would you spend your ideal day?

Sleep until 10, watch Youtube and Netflix, read books, write stories, eat strawberries

48. Describe yourself using only one word?

Empathetic.

I probably empathize with characters too well, because when people start crying I start crying
