Silence

Staring at the mountains far away,
The symphony of rain makes me sway.
And long was there a sigh,
The steam of coffee flew by.

The chatter in the hallways rung,
The choir of girls sung.
Soft flute brought harmony,
Washing away all the agony.

A smile traced my lips,
While I drunk the scene with long sips.
There was sheer joy,
No pretenses or being coy.

Laughter brewed,
Melody cooed.
The scars peeked,
Yet no one critiqued.

With music wrapped,
The hearts were tapped.
Then the last verse was conferred,
Finally the silence was heard.
