Reyhaan's PoV

I was driving the car for the last thirty minutes while stealing glances at my beauty queen who is now sleeping. She must be tired. Today is a blessed day. A day I was waiting for all these months. With only us. I could show her the world that I always wanted to. She was tensed but seems relaxed too. I am glad that I became that special person in her life who would do all these for her. I smiled thinking about the moments we spend together.

Time to beat the temparature. I stopped the car near an icecream shop. She must love this.

She is still sleeping peacefully. Poor girl. She might have not slept well last night. I didn't want to disturb her. But she needs some refreshments for sure. I gently held her hand.

"Roshini, wake up." I said softly.

"I am sorry. I won't sleep anymore. Please don't beat me mom." She opened her eyes shockingly while shouting.

This girl !!! I widened my eyes.

She got relieved seeing me infront of her and took a deep breathe. I squeezed her hand assuring her.

"Afraid? This is me. Not your devil mother."I raised my eyebrows at her.

She tried to smile.
"I thought I am at home."

"It's ok. Calm down."I slowly patted her back making her relaxed.

"Are you tired? Want to have an icecream?" I asked after seeing her back to her happy mood.

She looked around confusingly and soon her eyes fell on the icecream shop.
"Icecream? Seriously? For me?"

I laughed.
"Come on. Let's have a break."I opened the door for her.

We walked into the shop and I made her sat on one of the chairs. I sat next to her holding her hands. She gave me a disbelief look. I started caressing her hand with my thump to tease her. She was horrified. I laughed.

With this journey I realized how much she was craving for some love. My every step for her, how much she values it. All these days, it was worth waiting. Because I wouldn't get someone like her. I held her hand more tightly promising myself that I won't leave it till my last breathe. She had a teary eyes seeing my love and I gestured her that everything is ok.

The waiter has came to our place to take our order.

"What flavor would you like to have Roshini?"

"Anything that you likes." Came her instant reply as usual.

I narrowed my eyes at her and she laughed. And it melted my heart. 

"Ok bring us two strawberry,  two vanilla and two butterscotch..."I told the waiter. "Wait, please bring some chocolate icecream too."

The waiter left after giving us a warm smile. I turned back to see Roshini showing her big wide eyes at me.

"Are you planning to not eat anything this week?"she asked still amazed.

"This is for you. I swear you may not have to eat anything this week."

She held her stomach with an horrified expression. I chuckled.

"Reyhaan, I am not coming with you again. You are treating me like a woman whose only aim in life is to eat, eat and eat."She pouted.

"Next time when you are coming with me, I am not gonna ask your permission though."I said for which she raised her eyebrows. "Because you will be my wife by then."

Her cheeks suddenly turned red. Should I say how much I wants to take her into my arms? Only if we were not in a public place.

"When did you have your last icecream?"I asked deliberately to change the topic before I would lose my control.

"I had some on the last day of our college."she said blankly.

Soon her eyes welled up and I became confused. Was she sad? But why?

"Hey... Roshini...Stop crying. What happened now?"I cupped her face. Her tears really making me weak. I felt my heart breaking everytime she cries.

"I remember that was our results day. The day when I became the topscorer of our college."she said shocking me.

A topscorer?

"And why didn't you then continue your studies?"I asked out of nowhere.

"Do you think that they will let me study more? It was my dream to have my own job and becomes independent. I wanted to go far away from them. But they...."She looked at me with tears. "All they wanted is a servant free of cost."

"It's ok..."I took her hands and started patting them.

"I still remember how my brothers threatened me when I begged them to look for a job." She said making me clench my fist.

"I won't leave anyone who hurted you. I would teach them a lesson."I hugged her and she smiled. But I meant it, she didn't know.

"Wait. I didn't complete the story. "She suddenly remembered.

"Story of your last icecream? Ok go on darling. I would love to listen you."

"When the results were out, my friends dragged me to the canteen asking me a treat for becoming the topscorer. But I had no money with me to buy them something. They insulted me and made fun of me. When they left leaving me in tears, my best friend Diya offered me an icecream to make me happy. She knows my story and she is the only one who has been kind to me. She paid for the icecream and I didn't have one after that."

She was saying and I felt a knife piercing into my heart.  This girl has endured a lot.

"Let me take charge once we are married. We would find out all those friends who insulted you and would feed them icecream going to their home."I said firmly.

She giggled. I mentally prepared a note to bring Diya back to her once. She would be happy seeing her only friend once again.

The waiter has placed our orders by this time. I started eating one strawberry icecream. Surprising me, she was not eating. But fixed her eyes at our nearby table in the corner.

"What's there?"I was about to check when she covered my both eyes with her hands.

"Dare look there."she shouted.

What the hell? I removed her hands forcely and watched the sight with a smirk.

A young couple enjoying their moments together.  They completely forgot about the world. His head immersed into her neck. He was kissing her madly.

I looked at Roshini who is now not looking into my face. She is shy. Wait, she is sweating. I smirked again.

"What? They are two cute love birds like us." My statement made her widen her eyes.

Us? Her eyes asked me. I nodded with a teasing smile.

"But we are not like them."she defended immediately.

"Like what baby?"I asked and she have no answer.

"Like...you are not doing that to me. Ok?"she looked at everywhere else but at me.

"Only if you want."I replied and this time poor Roshini choked the icecream she was having. I couldn't help, but laugh.

She didn't talk anything else. But started eating the icecream fast.  We have almost finished and walked towards the reception to pay the bill. I saw her stealing glances at the couple again.  I tried to control my smile.

"I wish you give me some attention too" I muttered enough audible for her and her eyes returned back towards me.

Then she looked at me for a few seconds and gestured towards my lips. I was totally clueless when she touched my lips with her hand.

What? Am I dreaming?

And then she wiped away my lips.
"Icecream..on your lips."she said biting her lips.

"Oh I thought.."I was saying but she stopped me.

"Oh Nooo.."she felt suddenly awkward and turned her face away from me. I smirked.

"How much?" I asked looking at the man in the counter.  She stood beside me still not facing me.

"350 rupees sir."

I took my wallet and handed it over to her. She was surprised.
"What?" She asked.

"Pay the amount he is asking for." I told.

She made a face at me.
"Why should I? Your money. You can pay."she retorted.

"There is nothing mine. Everything belongs to me is yours also. I don't want you to talk like this again." That was a soft command from me.

She shook her head.

"We don't have time to waste. Pay Roshini." This time I was stern.

I know she wouldn't obey me otherwise.

She opened the wallet with shivering hands and finally paid the amount. I became happy. She kept the wallet back into my pocket and suddenly walked out. I followed her silently. A smile never left my face.

"What was that for?"she asked curiously.

"To let you know your right over me and whatever belongs to me."I said and she smiled finally.

We were about to cross the road to reach the car that is parked on the other side. That's when she held my hand tightly. 

"What happened?"I asked seeing her frightened face.

"I am afraid of crossing the road." She replied innocently.

"Is there anything existing that you are not afraid of? "

"Yes. You. I am not afraid of you."she grinned like a kid and it touched my heart.

I squeezed her hand tightly. She looked at me admiringly and I could see the trust she put on me in her eyes. I would never disappoint her.

"Ouchhh...it's hurting Reyhaan." She said making me aware about how tightly I am holding her hand. I instantly loosened my hold on her.

"Sorry...."I muttered.

She smiled.

We entered into the car and started the journey towards our next stop.

"I wish Abhi was also with us. It would have been more memorable."she spoke out of nowhere.

"You like her very much. Isn't it?"I asked reminiscing the beautiful bond she is sharing with my niece. 

"I love her more than me Reyhaan. Only because of her I am still surviving in that mad house." She spoke from her heart.

I realized a glint of sorrow in her voice.

"She is a kid. That's why noone could manipulate her against me." She added.

I mentally made a note to keep this bond unbreakable forever. Not only my sister,  I wouldn't let anyone cast an evil eye on them.

Soon Roshini drifted into another sleep. I think this is the first time she is sleeping peacefully. Poor girl. That demons must have not let her sleep properly.

It was 6:30 pm finally when I woke her up. She opened her eyes with great difficulty.  Seeing the place infront of her, her eyes shined. Without even waiting for me, she jumped out of the car and started running towards the seashore. I followed her to the beach. Our final destination for today.

She started happily jumping around like a kid. That sight has filled my heart. Whatever makes her happy, that's where my happiness lies.

"Roshini, be careful." I shouted trying to catch her speed.

She sat down on the shore and took water in her hands. Before I could decipher what is happening, she poured it into my face. I gave her an intense look.

"I must admit your guts. You have completely changed within few hours. Seriously?" I asked chuckling while wiping the water drops away from my face.

"This is actually fun. Don't stop me please."she pouted.

Stop you? Me? Not at all my darling.

She started doing the same and this time I also poured water on her face. Her giggles filled the seashore.

"I love sea. I miss coming here with my grandparents." She spoke in a low tone making me conscious.  "What days were there? Seriously Reyhaan, I miss that old Roshini."

I could see how sad she is. She is missing her childhood, her grandparents, everything that made her alive once. Now she lost all those happy days. I can't do anything with that.  But I can give her a new life.  Right now she is seeing the world through me. I can assure that the most alluring days of her life is awaiting for her.

I closed the distance between us and cupped her face. She hugged me tightly. Her eyes asked me numerous questions.

"Roshini, I promise. This is forever."

She smiled getting the answer for all her questions. It reached my heart.

Now it's time for the final surprise.

"Not at my face. Look there."I asked her pointing towards the sky.

She slowly raised her head from my chest and looked distantly. Her face suddenly brighten up.

Roshini's PoV

That was the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life. My happiness had no limits.  I suddenly felt the urge to fly and catch all the colors of the evening sun into my arms. He has actually brought me back to my childhood.

Soon I felt two arms encircling my waist. I felt an electric current passing through my body and I shivered within his touch. I could feel his fragrance and hot breathe on my neck. He gently held my hand. Before I could realize what is happening, he slides something onto my finger.

"I love you Roshini and you are mine forever." His husky voice filled my ears.

I looked into my finger to see a diamond ring shining. His ring.

"Reyhaan.."Words didn't come out of my mouth.

"Congratulations, you are now officially engaged to me."

I felt my heart fluttering. He is engaged to me?

"We don't need people around us to accept our relationship.  My heart has already find you. There is no back off from this now. I accept you as my better half. As long as I breath, I need you right beside me. To complete me.  I love you Roshini."

Tears overflowed my cheeks and I hugged him. He held me tightly close to his heart.

"I love you Reyhaan." I said with my whole heart.

I don't know when did I lost my heart to him. But that's the most beautiful thing ever happened to me. I felt proud for chosing him.

He raised my chin from his chest and wiped my tears.

"I would always love you Roshini. Would cherish you throughout my life." He placed a light feather kiss on my forehead. He didn't leave my hand as if his life depended on it. I felt everything surreal.

After spending some more time at the beach, he dropped me back at my home.  At the doorstep he waited for me to speak something.

"Thank you Reyhaan. This is the best day of my life." Surprising both of us, I kissed his cheek.

He looked at me in disbelief but soon smiled.
"Guess what. This is the best day of my life too."he winked making me blush.

I looked at the ring which claimed me as his.

"Really beautiful.  As if made for you." He complimented.  "I would be waiting for the day when my bride is finally ready to come with me. To our life."

I am ready. To be his. But....He have a family. He loves his mother. Without her consent, I can't let him do that.

"Shall I go?"I asked opening the door.

"Wait. Are you going to remove my ring from your hand? What if somebody sees that?"he asked doubtful.

"I won't remove it from my hand. But will take extra care to not get noticed by anyone. Promise."I replied and his face brightened.

"Ok Reyhaan. Now you can leave." I said realizing that they may come anytime soon.

"I can wait until they return back." He said sending me shivers down my body.  "Hey don't be afraid, I don't want to leave you alone here at this late time. That's all." he added.

"I think I can manage. Don't take me wrong.  I won't let this beautiful day of mine to be ruined at any cost." I said nodding.

"Ok I understand. I am going." He took my hand in his and kissed on my palm. I felt butterflies dancing in my stomach.

"Thank you for coming with me Roshini. For trusting me. For doing everything to make me happy.  I am very lucky to have you in my life." Leaving my hand he kissed my forehead once again.

"I think we should do this more often."he said with a teasing smile.

"Do what?" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Sneaking out of your house."He laughed making me speechless.

"Reyhaan...youuuu..."I slapped him playfully on his shoulder and he left while continuing his laugh.

"Thank you Reyhaan for coming into my life." I muttered to myself.
