Chapter 7
Daw pov (Point Of View)

I was standing near the entrance of the art faculty building. What am I doing here? I don't know. Of course I'm waiting for Ice! Sometimes I hide my face so that those crazy fans of mine wouldn't notice me being here.

"Look at this picture. Junior brother Daw is so handsome! Do you think he will agree to go out with me if I ask?"

"Do you think I have a chance?"

I quickly turn my back when I saw some familiar faces that always following me around, and I heard they were talking about me. They were laughing then ran away, as I heard they were going to my faculty.

Being famous is so difficult!

My attention was distract when I saw someone familiar. The person who I was waiting for the whole time. I saw he was walking while reading his novel. He sometimes bumped into other students and apologized briefly before walking away and reading back his novel. What makes him so attached to the novel?

I followed him from behind. Not so far but not so close too. I was just smiling while looking his back. Sometimes he almost fell as he didn't look the way properly. Top was right. Ice is kind of person who's obsessed to novels and like to cut his finger in the morning. I saw his index finger was coated with plaster.

'...also like to cut his finger too.'

I smiled and shook my head. I found that Ice's so cute. Cuter than all those girls who kept hitting on me. Actually, I don't even know what's the reason that makes me want to own him. Or I can say, why I wanted to flirt with him. The first time I saw him, my heart skipped a bit. His cold nature catch my heart.

I saw Ice was crossing the road but he didn't realize a car was running towards him. I quickly pulled him away to the sideway. Both of us were now on the ground.

"Are you okay?", I asked him.

He didn't gave me any response. He kept looking at me without blinking his eyes. I wanted to yell at him but I could hear his heart beating fast. He must've been very shocked. I let out a heavy sighed. My hand moved closer to his shoulder and patted them.

I put a cup of tea in front of him. After the incident just now, I took him to a nearby cafe. I gave him a stare. I can sense that he's still shocked, but much better than before. He slightly sighed after taking a sip of the tea.

"Feeling better?", I asked. Ice gave me a little smile before nodding.

"Good then. You shouldn't walk around while reading those stupid novel you know?", I said to him, a little upset.

But instead of getting a 'sorry' from Ice, i receive a death glare. I gulp when I realize something. I shouldn't have said 'those stupid novel'.

"Sorry. But still! You shouldn't done that! It's dangerous you know? Look, you almost got hit by a car. Fortunately, I was there. What if I wasn't? You might be lying on the hospital bed right now. Don't do that again. Get it?", I nag. Ice just rolled his eyes then shook his head.

"You should hear my advice.", I said once again, but Ice didn't replied.

"Come, I'll send you back to your condo. You don't have any class left right?", I asked. Ice gave me a 'how do you know' look.

"I got your time table last time, remember? Enough, let's go!"

"No. Top will---"

"I told him, I will take you home today.", I said. Ice frowned. There must be 1001 question in his mind right now that made him frowned like that.

"Stop frowning. You got so many wrinkles on your forehead already.", I said which made him suddenly touched his forehead. I laughed when I saw his reaction.

"Kidding! Let's go!", I said then catch his wrist. Dragging him with me.

"Wanna come with me?", I asked as soon as I stop my car. Ice looked at me with worry in his eyes. I smiled while looked at him. He looks even cuter now.

I was about to step out when Ice suddenly grab my sleeves. "Why?"

"You said you're taking me home.", he asked.

I smiled. Right, I wanted to take him home but I change my mind. I take him to a hill near the side way of the city. Not that far from our place actually. It's about to dark, so I take him here.

"Don't worry. I promise, I'll take you back to your condo once we finish here. Why, are you afraid?", I asked. Ice didn't response.

"Ice. Do you believe me?", I asked once again. He just sit silently and kept looking at me. I hold his hand which keep holding my sleeves.

"You can count on me. I take you here, because I wanted to show you something. It's not like I want to hurt you. Okay?", Ice nodded. I smiled and patted his hand.

We step out from the car. I walked ahead, towards a wooden bench. I asked Ice to sit besides me. For the first time, he didn't reject. I looked in front of us. A view of the city.

"Look ahead. You won't regret.", I told him.

The sun starts to set and the sky bruises with soft purple tinge. We can see colourful lights from buildings and vehicles in front of us. All of them look so small from up here. I turn my eyes to the person besides me. I smiled ear to ear when I saw he curved a smile.

"Beautiful."

Ice turned his head to me when I said the word.

"I meant, the view.", I explained. He looked away. I smiled once again.

"Beautiful"

"This time, I say it's you.", Ice quickly turned his face to look at me, to see I was smiling while staring at him. "You. Beautiful."

"Will you give me a chance?", I finally spoke up. I can do this!

"I'll flirt you. Properly. Just one chance would be enough.", I said. Slowly taking his hand inside mine. "Please?"
Ice didn't replied. He was just staring at me. I'm so nervous right now.

"Okay. No need to answer me now.", I said then stand up. "Let's go home."

I wasn't ready to know his answer just yet. Maybe he'll reject me directly. Look, I'm not a coward. I just want to give him some time to think. Maybe.

Ice's pov

The car stop infront of my condo. I looked at the guy besides me. He hasn't talk since we left the place he took me just now. Was he upset because I didn't answer him? Should I talk to him? Wait! Why do I even bother?

"Good night.", he said.

I looked at him before nod my head. "Thank you."

"I'll see you tomorrow."

I was stunned. So that mean, I'll meet him again tomorrow? No! He'll come to see me? Or we'll see each other? Or the other way? Wait, he just gave me a silent treatment but suddenly he told me that he'll see me tomorrow. What's wrong with this prick? So what?! Why did I even bother?

I didn't response, but then stepped out from his car. I quickly ran into the building. Didn't even dare to look back.

As I reached my room, I keep sighed. I entered the room and switched on the lights. I was shocked when I saw someone's standing right in the middle of the room. I sighed in relief when I realized it was my little brother. Gosh! I almost hit him earlier with the novel in my hand. I stomped my feet, showing him that I was angry.

"Where did you go?", Fire asked. He didn't even mind that I was angry.

"Went out with my friend.", I replied.

Friend? Eww. Was Daw qualified in my list of friend? I can't even imagine.
"Which friend? Top? But I just asked him earlier, he wasn't with you. So, which friend? Girl or boy? Senior or junior? And most importance one, since when did you have other friend, other than Top?", Fire's questions are like bullets. Didn't stop shooting me since before.

"Just some random friend that you don't know.", I replied. "Why are you here? And how can you get inside?"

I tried to change the topic. Hoping that Fire would stop asking about 'my friend'. I didn't made any eye contact with Fire. Dude, I'm afraid that he will caught me lying about the 'friend' thing hence, I tried to avoid talking about it.

Wait, why do I even bother?

"Oh, I'm living here with you for a while. I wanted to walk around the  Bangkok before I leave back to France. And guess what?", he said in excitement. I just give him a 'what' look.

"I have my break extended! Yeah!! So basically, I'll have a two months school break.", he said.

Great! But, he didn't plan to finish that two whole damn month just to travel around Bangkok right?

I was about to asked but Fire already spoke up first. "Wait! I know what you wanted to say. Yes, I already got mother's and father's permission. And nope! I'll stay here only for a month then I'll go back to Chiang Mai after that."

This kid. What did he learnt there? Was he really studied about culinary or reading people's mind?

"So, you have no rights to stop me. Got it?!", Fire continued. I just shook my head in disbelief.

There he goes again. Bossing around.
