CHAPTER FIVE, parasomnia

Averi was now sitting in the library with Scott, Kira, and Malia as they worked on homework when Stiles suddenly walked over to them, placing a piece of paper down. "Hi, baby," She greets with a small chuckle. "You good?" She asked, raising her eyebrows at him.

"Hi, sweetheart," He leans down to kiss the top of her head, earning a smile from her. "Yeah, fantastic." He mumbled, a sarcastic tone laced to his voice.

She looks at him with slight amusement, raising her eyebrows. "What's that tone for?"

"So you found something?" Scott realized as he leaned over to look at the papers Stiles placed down. He hated the pang of jealousy he felt when he watched the two interact. He couldn't help but wish that he was the one who was dating Averi. He wanted to be the one calling her cute pet names. He wanted to be the one who could kiss the top of her head and have her smile at him with that sweet smile.

"Another signature. This is Theo's dad's signature on a speeding ticket from eight years ago. And this is his dad's signature on a transfer form to Beacon Hills High School from just a few days ago." Stiles explained.

"How did you get his transfer form?" Kira asked him.

"Did you break into the Administration Office?" Scott questioned, his eyes widening slightly.

"No, I did not break into the Administration Office." Stiles argues, pausing when the group gave him a look. "Okay, I might have broken into the Administration Office."

Averi chuckles and nods. "Knew it." She murmured, causing him to glare at her playfully.

"Can we just focus on the signatures, please? They're different." Stiles insisted and everyone leaned over to get a closer look at the papers.

"They're sort of different." Malia nodded.

"They're completely different. Come on. Look." Stiles pointed at the difference between the signatures. "The garlands don't even match, the undulations of the sinuous stroke are totally off. And look, look at this. Perfect example of the Criminal Tremor."

Averi stares at him with furrowed eyebrows, not understanding a word that came out of his mouth. "Speak English, please." She told him, earning an amused look from Scott.

He chuckles and translates, "He's saying the signatures don't match, indicating that they're likely forged."

"Ah, got it." Averi nodded, understanding it better. She sent Scott a thankful expression, earning a small smile from him.

"So, Theo is Theo, but his parents aren't his parents?" Kira questioned, trying to make sense of the situation.

"Someone's not someone." Stiles nods. "And when I figure out who that someone really is, someone's in big trouble." He paused and looked a bit confused at what he said. Averi giggled and kissed his cheek, making him grin at her.

"But no one's done anything wrong." Scott pointed out, trying to ignore the jealousy he felt after seeing Averi kiss Stiles' cheek.

"Yet. If Theo's parents are both psychotic killers then obviously, we should not trust him, right?" Stiles inquired.

"My parents are Peter and the Desert Wolf." Malia spoke up, narrowing her eyes at Stiles. Everyone glanced at Stiles when she said that and he covered his face in his hand as he groaned.

"Okay...It's fine. You know what? I'll just figure it out myself. Right? I don't need you or you or you." Stiles grumbles, picking up the papers as he starts to leave. He pauses when he glanced at Averi. "I do need you though, baby. Come on." He gestured for her to follow him.

Averi chuckles and she gathers her things into her backpack before she got up. "You can't live without me." She teased, kissing his cheek.

"D**n straight." He smirked, taking her hand and kissing the back of her hand. She smiled softly and blushed, shaking her head as she followed him out of the library.

"Okay, why does it stench of jealousy?" Malia questioned after the couple left, her nose scrunching up with disgust.

"I am not jealous." Scott denied, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Sure." Kira scoffed.

"What? I'm not jealous!" Scott insisted, looking offended.

Kira raised her eyebrows and she looked at Malia. "Do you believe him?"

"No." Malia answers bluntly, narrowing her eyes at him. "I can smell it on you. You're jealous of Averi and Stiles. And you're blushing."

"No, I'm not." Scott let out a low growl of frustration. He stood up and packed his things into his backpack before he left.

Kira sighs and shakes her head. "He's totally jealous."

"Yep." Malia nodded in agreement.

Scott was definitely jealous of the relationship Averi and Stiles had. He knew they were happy and he should be happy for them. He should want the best for the two, but he couldn't help how he felt. He couldn't help but wish Averi was dating him. He wished that he was able to hold her close and call her his. He didn't mean to let his jealousy take control of him, but he couldn't help it.

He didn't want to lose Averi as a friend because he had feelings for her, so he tried to suppress them and just be happy for her. He knew the longer he ignored them, the more they'll consume him until he can't handle it anymore. Until he couldn't stand to see her with Stiles.

He didn't know how long he could go on like this. He hoped he could find someone else, someone who wasn't his friend. Maybe then his feelings for Averi would disappear and he'd move on from her. Scott had a feeling his feelings for Averi wasn't going to go away anytime soon.

****

Averi sat in the passenger side of the jeep as Stiles started the jeep. Liam sat in the back seat since he offered to help them out, which Stiles was thankful for. "What's a Criminal Tremor?" He spoke up, looking at the papers Stiles had.

"It doesn't matter." Stiles leaned back to snatch the papers from him and then pulled out of the parking lot, heading to their destination.

Later that night, Averi was standing by Stiles and Liam, hiding behind some bushes as they watched Theo at his car. It was late now and they were spying on Theo. He had got something out of the trunk of his car and looked around as if to make sure no one was watching before he closed the trunk. He then started walking on the bridge over the water, the three following him.

"I told you guys he was up to something." Stiles mumbled.

"We just spent three hours watching this dude play video games in his bedroom." Liam quips. "He better be out here covering up a mass murder."

Averi nods in agreement. "Those are three hours of my life I'm never getting back." She muttered.

"Let's go find out." Stiles led the trio past the bushes and towards the trail Theo went on. Liam then went ahead of them, using his enhanced smell to try to follow where Theo went. "You still got his scent?" Stiles asked.

"Don't need it." Liam pointed at footsteps in the mud, leading down the trail. The three followed the footprints in the mud, the couple pausing when Liam suddenly stopped.

"Liam, you okay?" Averi asked, looking back at him with concern.

"I-I forgot, I was supposed to meet Mason at the school gym." Liam admitted.

"Okay, why didn't you just tell him?" Stiles inquired, looking at him with confusion.

"Tell him what?" Liam furrowed his eyebrows.

"Anything." Stiles shrugged.

"I can't just tell him anything." Liam protested.

"Why not?" Stiles questioned.

"Because I haven't...I haven't told him everything." Liam stammered, looking sheepish.

The couple share a look of surprise, not expecting that answer. "Still? We said it was okay." Stiles assured him as they looked back at him. Averi was surprised that Liam hadn't told his best friend about the supernatural yet.

"Yeah, I know, but it's not that easy. It's a lot to accept." Liam murmured nervously.

"He watched my dad blow up a Berserker with a land mine. I think the groundwork's been pretty thoroughly laid for acceptance. Scott, Averi, and I have been through this. Okay? More than once. It's always been better when they know." Stiles explained.

"Yeah," Averi agrees, sending Liam a reassuring smile, reaching over to squeeze his shoulder gently. "You should tell him. I'm sure Mason will be understanding."

"Maybe." Liam nodded in response, appreciating their encouragement. Especially Averi. Ever since they met, the two had formed a sibling type bond. She was like the sister he never had and she was always there for him whenever he needed her. She was also great at giving advice, which he appreciated. But he was still anxious and worried. "But what if he freaks out?" He asks in a panicked tone as he followed the couple when they started walking again. "What if he doesn't want to talk to me? What if he tries to stab me with something silver? Or what if-"

Averi stops in her tracks when she suddenly heard a loud thud and Liam's voice trailed off. "Liam?" She looks over her shoulder, her eyes widening when she saw she had fell in a hole in the ground. Stiles pauses as well, looking over with surprise. "Liam!" She worriedly said, rushing over to the hole he fell in while Stiles followed her.

"What the h** are you doing?" Stiles questioned, sighing as he looked away with annoyance after Liam shrugged and looked at them sheepishly.

Averi looks down at Liam with concern. "Are you alright?" She called down to him.

"Yeah, I'm good. I'll be right up." Liam assured her, looking up at her with a small smile.

When the trio suddenly heard footsteps approaching, Stiles looks in that direction. "There he is." He whispers when he spotted Theo "Hurry up. Stop screwing around." He told Liam before starting to follow Theo.

Averi rolls her eyes at him, shaking her head. "Be nice, babe. He just fell." She looks back down at Liam, stepping back as Liam jumped out after grabbing his phone that he dropped when he fell. "You sure you're alright?" She asked and Liam nodded, dusting his pants off.

"Yeah, I'm sure, Aves. I'm good. Let's go." Liam assured her, nodding for her to follow him and Stiles. Averi nodded in response and the two follow after Stiles, going after Theo. They hide behind some trees after finding Theo on another bridge over a lake, looking down at it.

"Try and get his scent." Stiles whispers to Liam. "Get anything?"

"Soap. It's nice. It smells good." Liam responded. Averi chuckled and shook her head, looking at him with amusement.

"Not his soap, his emotional state. Chemosignals, remember?" Stiles hissed, rolling his eyes.

"Oh, yeah." Liam nods. "He's sad." He revealed after a few moments.

"He's sad?" Stiles repeated, looking confused.

"Well, not just sad...It's more like grief." Liam clarified.

Averi furrows her eyebrows and glances over at Theo. What could he possibly be grieving? "Grief?" Stiles repeated, looking just as confused. The trio watched as Theo dropped a flower into the river.

Stiles' eyes widen while he realizes something. He quickly grabs Averi's hand and turns Liam around, guiding them to walk away. "Go! We have to go." He ushered quietly, earning confused looks from Averi and Liam.

"What? Why?" Liam questioned. "Go! Right now. Just go." Stiles ushers. "That's the bridge where they found his sister." He explained after they were far enough away from where Theo was.

"What sister?" Liam asked him.

"The one that got lost and died from exposure. He's leaving a flower for her." Stiles responded.

"Well, that doesn't sound evil." Liam mumbled.

"I know." Stiles muttered. The trio stopped suddenly when they saw Theo ahead of them on a tree branch.

"That's not a creepy sight at all." Averi mumbled under her breath, instinctively standing closer to Stiles. He wrapped an arm around her, holding her close. Theo jumps down from the tree branch, landing on his feet. "What are you guys doing?" He inquired.

Liam growls at him, stepping forward to stand slightly in front of the couple as Theo started to walk towards them. Stiles kept a hand in front of him to reassure him that it's okay. "Woah." Theo raises his hands up slightly, pausing in front of them. "Why do I get the feeling this kid's tougher than he looks?"

"Only when we let him off his leash." Stiles retorted.

"Stiles, we were in Little League together." Theo tells him, dropping his hands to his sides. "Why are you so suspicious of me?"

"Because of these." Stiles handed Theo the two papers of the different signatures of his dad.

Theo looks confused as he takes them from Stiles and unfolds them. "One's a speeding ticket signed by your dad eight years ago. The other one's a signature on a transfer form to Beacon High. They're different." Stiles explained.

"Huh. Yeah, they do look a little different." Theo agreed.

"No, they're totally different. Signed by two different people." Stiles argued.

"So my dad's not my dad?" Theo questions. "Like he's an imposter?"

"Yeah, something like that." Liam cut in, still glaring at him. Averi could tell he was ready to attack him if he needed to. But Averi and Stiles made sure to hold him back for now.

"Who do you think I am?" Theo inquired.

"We don't know yet." Stiles responded.

"Want me to give you a DNA sample or something?" Theo asked jokingly.

"No. I don't have anything from the fourth grade to match it to." Stiles answered.

"You know, Stiles, I came back here for Scott...But I also came back for you." Theo confesses. He glances at Averi. "And you." He adds, causing the couple to share a look. "Someone like you guys. Someone who's willing to walk into the woods in the middle of the night to protect their friends. I don't have anyone like that, but Scott does. You all do." He says as he glanced at Liam. "I know I'm in the right place." He continues. "I'm meant to be here. I'm meant to be part of this pack."

****

The trio froze when they got back to Stiles' jeep and saw Scott there on his bike. How did he know they were there? Though Averi realized it probably wasn't hard to find out where they went. "Find anything?" Scott asked.

"Nope." Stiles shook his head and walked to his jeep.

"I feel in a hole." Liam replied with a shrug and a small smile. Averi looked back at him with amusement, smiling slightly.

"It was the bridge where his sister died, wasn't it?" Scott guessed as Stiles got in his jeep.

"Yes, it was. Very embarrassing." Stiles responds. "So, we're gonna leave now." Annoyance crosses his features when his car wouldn't turn on after he turned the key in the ignition. "Liam, just do me a favor, get in the car and turn the ignition when I say." He climbed out of the jeep, trading places with Liam. He popped the hood open while Averi and Scott stood nearby.

"Stiles?" Scott spoke up.

"Be with you in a sec." Stiles murmurs as he works on something under the hood. "Try it." He called out to Liam.

Liam turns the key, but once again the engine sputters and refuses to start which only fuels Stiles' annoyance and frustration. "Stiles." Scott spoke up again, trying to get his attention.

"Yes, okay, we followed him out here. What do you want me to say? That I'm a stalker, huh? That I'm crazy, totally paranoid? None of this is new information." Stiles rambled.

"Now you're gonna try to at least give him the benefit of the doubt?" Scott questioned.

"I give people the benefit of the doubt. I've given a lot of benefit to a lot of people." Stiles answered and went back to working.

"Like Derek." Scott nods in understanding. Stiles pauses, rolling his eyes and sighing as he kept working. "Kira? Liam?"

"I was right about Peter." Stiles mutters. "Try it again." He told Liam after stepping back.

The engine kept sputtering when Liam tried turning the key again. Averi watches Stiles with concern as he leans forward on his car. She could tell he was becoming really frustrated and annoyed. "You know, I bet you still think that there's something about him that can be saved." Stiles grumbled.

"Maybe." Scott said softly, causing Stiles to turn to his hood with his face scrunched up in anger. He messed with something under the hood again.

"Try it again." Stiles told Liam again, stepping back. The engine sputtered again, making him groan.

"Why can't you trust anyone?" Scott asked him softly.

"Because you trust everyone!" Stiles raised his voice, punching the engine as he screamed out of anger and now pain. Averi's eyes widened, immediately running over to him while concern shown in her eyes.

"Hey, baby." She speaks up, pulling his hand away. He didn't respond as he stared at the engine. "Stiles..." She tries again, carefully taking his hand, gently brushing her thumb across his knuckles. They were bruised and already swelling up and his hand couldn't stop shaking. She frowns and looks up at him, watching him wince when she rubbed her thumb over his bruised knuckles. "Stiles, you could've broke your hand doing that."

"I'm fine." He murmured, looking down at his hand. His hand couldn't stop shaking and he had to admit it was pretty painful. He knew she was right, but he wasn't thinking clearly and he was frustrated. He felt stupid and embarrassed for losing his temper like that and punching his engine.

"Here, let me see." Averi held her hands out and he placed his in hers. She took her time, making sure she was careful and gentle. Her touch was soft as she examined his knuckles, frowning as she looked at them. She then closed her eyes, concentrating on her healing powers. Not only did she have air manipulation, she had enhanced healing as well and could heal others too. But she had to be touching them for it to work. Averi focused on channeling her healing energy into Stiles' bruised and swollen knuckles. She could feel the warmth of her energy flowing from her hands into his, soothing the pain and promoting healing.

The boys watched in awe as her hands glowed with a soft, golden light, her healing powers working their magic on Stiles' injured hand. Scott couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy at seeing how close Averi and Stiles are. He shouldn't feel this way when Averi was healing Stiles, he mentally scolded himself for feeling that way and for even having feelings for her. Once Averi finished healing Stiles' hand, she opens her eyes and withdrew her hands, giving him a soft smile. "There, all done. How does it feel?"

Stiles flexes his hand experimentally, surprised by how it felt. All the pain and soreness was gone and his hand felt completely normal. "Better." He tells her, giving her a small smile. He reaches over and brushes a strand of hair behind her ear, his hand lingering on her cheek for a few moments. "Thank you." He said softly, his eyes gazing into hers.

Averi smiles at him, placing her hand on top of his, enjoying his touch. "Of course." She tells him, leaning into his touch. She could feel the warmth spreading through her chest at his touch, and she couldn't help but feel a rush of affection for him. Stiles always had a way of making her feel special, making her feel like the most important girl in the world. She turns her head, kissing the inside of his palm that was now cupping her cheek. "Anytime, babe." She whispered, giving him a reassuring smile.

Scott watched the interaction, feeling the jealousy build up in his chest as he saw how close and intimate they are with each other. Scott looked down at the ground, a lump forming in his throat. He couldn't watch the scene in front of him anymore, it hurt too much. He couldn't help but feel a little angry, he felt angry at the situation, at the universe, but most of all he was angry at himself. Angry for even having these feelings for Averi, angry for not realizing his feelings sooner, and angry for being too late.

Averi's heart skipped a beat and butterflies filled her stomach when Stiles smiled and leaned in to kiss her. It was a short, sweet, and simple kiss, but it was full of love and adoration. When they pulled away, the jeep suddenly started, which surprised them. Averi and Stiles look at each other with a smile. She could see the relief and gratitude in his eyes. "Guess the jeep's just as stubborn as you are." She teased, causing him to chuckle and shake his head.

"I guess so." Stiles said, glancing at his jeep as he pulled away. But he intertwined his hand with hers, giving it a gentle squeeze.

The couple and Liam say their goodbyes to Scott before the couple climbed into the jeep and they parted ways. As the jeep drove down the street, Stiles glances over at his girlfriend. "Thanks for helping me, I appreciate it." He tells her, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "I know that using your healing powers like that was probably draining for you."

Averi smiles softly, shaking her head. "It's no problem, Stiles. I'll always be there to help you, no matter what." She reassured him, leaning over to press a tender kiss to his cheek. Stiles was right, it was draining, she could already feel the exhaustion setting in and she couldn't wait to go home and sleep. But it was worth it. She was glad she could help him, and that she was able to heal him.

Stiles smiles, bringing her hand up to his lips, kissing the back of her hand. "I love you." He murmured against her skin.

"I love you too." Averi smiled fondly at him, her face turning red at the simple action. They fell into a comfortable silence as Stiles drove. Averi could feel the exhaustion seeping into her body, her eyelids feeling heavy. She knew it was going to be a struggle to stay awake, especially when the warmth and comfort of Stiles' hand holding hers was so soothing and relaxing. She leaned her head on the window, letting her eyes flutter closed. Usually when she felt drained after using her healing powers, she would usually curl up in a warm, comfy bed and take a nap. But unfortunately she couldn't do that right now, so leaning against the window will have to do for now.

Stiles noticed his girlfriend leaning against the window, her eyes closed and her breathing slow and steady. He glances over at her, a small smile tugging on his lips. "Are you tired?" He asked her quietly.

"Hm? Yeah." Averi hummed softly, not bothering with opening her eyes.

"I'll wake you up when we get there." Stiles whispered. Averi mumbled a reply, drifting off into sleep. Stiles smiled slightly and turned his gaze forward as he kept driving. He checked on Liam, glancing at him through the rearview mirror. He was leaned against the window as well, fast asleep. He couldn't help but smirk and shake his head.

After a few minutes, he stops in front of Liam's house. "Liam." Stiles whispered, turning around to reach back and nudge the young beta.

Liam jumps, startled by the sudden contact. "What?" He asked groggily, blinking sleepily and rubbing his eyes.

"We're at your house." Stiles replied.

"Oh, right." Liam nods and unbuckles his seatbelt, climbing out of the jeep. "Thanks."

"Sure." Stiles gave him a nod, waving him off.

Liam hesitates, looking over at the passenger seat where Averi was fast asleep. "Is she okay?" He asked worriedly, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Yeah, she's just exhausted." Stiles nods, reaching over to brush some hair that had fell in Averi's face out of the way. "She's fine, don't worry." He assured him, giving him a small smile.

Liam nods, waving goodbye to Stiles before heading inside his house. After making sure Liam was inside, he pulled out of the driveway and headed for his own house. He and Averi planned to spend the night together. The thought of falling asleep and waking up next to her sounded amazing, he loved waking up next to her. He couldn't wait until he was finished driving so he could hold her and cuddle her.

After a few minutes, he pulled into the driveway, parking his jeep. Stiles shut off his car and got out, walking over to the passenger side and opening the door. He reached in, carefully pulling Averi out. She stirred awake at the sudden movement. "Hey." Stiles murmurs, closing the door with his foot. "We're here."

Averi blinks tiredly, slowly waking up. "Oh." She yawns, burying her face in the crook of his neck. "Okay." She whispered sleepily, not bothering with opening her eyes or trying to get out of his arms

.Stiles smiles and walks towards the front door, struggling a bit as he fumbled with the keys. He somehow manages to open the door and gets them inside without dropping her. He makes his way up the stairs, heading to his room. He opens the door, setting her down on the bed. "You wanna change clothes first before you go to sleep?" Stiles asked softly, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.

Averi nods sleepily, slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes. "Yeah, that sounds good." She mumbled, yawning again.

Stiles smiled and walked over to his dresser, pulling out a clean t-shirt and sweatpants for her. He handed them to her before turning around to give her some privacy to change. A few moments later, she emerged from the bathroom, dressed in his clothes and had her clothes folded in her hands. The shirt was way too big on her, falling off her shoulder and the sweatpants were way too big, she had to roll up the top a couple times so they wouldn't fall down. But it didn't matter to Stiles, she looked adorable in his clothes.

Averi placed her folded clothes down on the desk before getting under the covers. She snuggled into the soft pillow, her eyes already feeling heavy and threatening to close. Stiles got changed, crawling into bed next to her. He pulled her close to him, wrapping his arms around her. Averi snuggled into his embrace, nuzzling her face in his bare chest. He kissed the top of her head and rested his chin on her head.

"Goodnight, babe." Stiles whispered, his fingers gently running through her hair.

"Goodnight, honey." Averi mumbled, sleep thick in her voice.

"Sleep well, I love you." Stiles told her, closing his eyes.

"I love you too." Averi replied, closing her eyes. A small smile formed on her face, and soon her breathing was even and her heartbeat was slow and steady. She fell asleep in his arms, knowing she was safe and secure. Stiles opens his eyes, looking down at her with a soft smile. He loved this girl, he loved her so much. He held her close, listening to the rhythm of her heartbeat and the soft sound of her breathing. Stiles glances around his room, his gaze landing on the white board he had set up. He usually wrote his brainstorm ideas and theories on the board. He hesitated, glancing back at Averi who was sound asleep in his arms, then back at the board.

With a sigh, Stiles slowly moved out of bed, making sure he was careful not to disturb Averi. He grabbed a marker and paused before he wrote a name on the board. He looks up when he saw his father at the door. "Usually we wait until they do something wrong before we declare them guilty." He says after seeing his son had wrote down Theo's name. Then when he noticed Averi asleep in his son's bed, he adds, "She okay?"

"Uh, yeah, she's just tired. She used her healing powers on my hand earlier, it's not a big deal. But anyway, he's guilty of something." Stiles muttered, glancing back at his girlfriend to make sure she was okay before looking back at the board.

Noah nods in understanding. "Accusations require proof. And proof always trumps instinct. It has to."

"I know, dad." Stiles nodded.

"Let it go, Stiles. Get some sleep." Noah said softly, sending him a smile before he turned to leave.

"Hey, dad." Stiles stops him from leaving, walking over to him. "Uh, I got it. There's something different. I know what it is."

"Okay." Noah spoke, a little confused by what he meant.

"You're not wearing your wedding ring anymore." Stiles pointed out. Noah's face falls after he said that and he glances at his empty ring finger. He's quiet for a moment before glancing back at Stiles. "You're sure this kid's guilty?"

"Absolutely." Stiles nodded.

"Then all you gotta do is wait. If they're really guilty, eventually, they make a mistake. They always make a mistake." Noah tells him. As Stiles looked back at the board, he starts to leave. "Okay, I'm going to bed." Stiles nodded in response, but stays silent. He was too focused on the board. Noah hesitated, sending him one more look before shutting the door behind him.

After a while, Stiles puts the marker down, sighing softly as he looks over at Averi. He was surprised to find her staring sleepily back at him. "Hey, sorry. Did I wake you up?" Averi shakes her head slowly, a small smile forming on her lips. "No, I woke up on my own." She murmured, her voice still heavy with sleep. She reached out a hand towards him, gesturing for him to come back to bed.

Stiles smiles softly, walking back over to the bed and climbing in beside her. He wraps his arms around her, pulling her close to him once again. "You sure you're okay?" He asked, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.

Averi nods, snuggling into his embrace. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired, that's all." She mumbled, closing her eyes and nuzzling her face into his chest.

"Good, I'm glad." Stiles whispers, resting his chin on top of her head. "Try to get some sleep, sweetheart. I love you."

"I will. I love you too." Averi murmured sleepily, and soon enough, she was fast asleep once again. Stiles closed his eyes, enjoying the warmth and comfort of her body pressed against his. Soon enough, his exhaustion caught up to him and he fell asleep as well. The two lovers slept peacefully, feeling safe and secure in each other's arms.
