Chapter 11
'I don't like to be locked in this room. That's all,' you said to him. He gave you a questioning look.
'I don't lock you in here,' he told you with a stern vioce. You rolled your eyes.
'Oh, so I can exploring the gardens tomorrow without your permission?' you stated. He gave you an angry look.
'No.'
'See, you lock me in here,' you said pelutant. 'If I'm really going to be your wife, I want a little freedom, you know. I'm not a pet.' He put his hands on his hips.
'Alright. Then go to your gardens,' he spat. 'I won't stop you, but Peppa needs to be by your side, okay?' You huffed.
'What if I want to be alone? To think?'
'Oh, pet, you don't need to think. I'll do the thinking. Just make sure my child is okay and-'
'It's my child too,' you defended your little one. He inhaled, trying to calm himself.
'Of course. Our child. Well, then, I hope you will enjoy the gardens all by yourself,' he ended the conversation. You sighed and looked out of the window. He was already going to the bathroom to change in his pyjamas, but you didn't want to be next to him right now.
When he came back, you walked passed him to the balcony.
'Are you coming?' he sneered. You shook your head.
'I'm not tired yet,' you mumbled as you looked up at the sky. The stars were amazing. The nightview of Asgard was simply mesmerizing.
'Then continue being stubborn, but I don't want you in my bed tonight,' he snapped as he draped the convers over him. You turned to him with big eyes full of disbelieve, as he didn't even bother to look at you anymore.
What have you gotten yourself into? Your hands subconsciously touched your belly, rubbing slow circles on it as you turned back around. Tears brimmed in your eyes and you wondered if you should try and escape this room when he was asleep. Then maybe you could find Peppa's room in this huge palace, but you doubted you could achieve such a thing.
As the minutes passed, you were growing desperate. What if he wasn't being honest. What if something was between Elisabeth and him.
You shook your head. You wanted to go home. You were in need of a hug. A real loving one. You craved your parents. As you thought of your parents, you grew worried about you being a parent. What if you weren't enough?
A lot of what if were haunting you that night, until you felt your body become tired. Your eyelids grew heavy.
You sauntered back inside, briefly glancing at the bed with the God in it. You clenched your jaw and walked over to the couch. You clearly remembered him telling you he didn't want you in his bed tonight, but that was mutual. You went to lay down and closed your eyes, your hands never leaving your tummy.
You woke up due to the birds chriping and the sun shining on your face. Your stomach churned and you sighed in uneasy. With your head tilted to the side, you rolled on your side, your hand reaching the coffee table to support your weight. Then you threw up.
The disgusting taste filled your mouth and only made you vomiting even more. The noise must've waken up some certain God in the bed. He first glared at you for waking him up, but once he saw what was happening, he quickly made his way towards you.
He went to sit beside you on the couch and held up your hair while you were throwing up.
'Oh dear, are you alright.' He rubbed your back. 'Do I need to call for Peppa?' You shook your head, finally done.
'It's just morning sickness I guess...' you said weakly. He flicked his wrist and the mess you made was gone. 'Thank you for not making me clean that up,' you whispered. He laughed a little and grabbed your hand.
'You should go back to bed,' he said stern. You shook your heade calmly.
'I'm fine,' you assured him softly. He took your hand in his and squeezed it, but you slowly pulled away, looking down at your lap. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
'Look, I'm sorry. We should trust each other-'
'And yet we don't,' yu interrupted him. He knitted his eyebrows together.
'You don't trust me?' he asked quietly, fidgetting with his hands. You shook your head. 'Why not?' You dared to look him in the eye.
'Because of Elisabeth...' He rolled his eyes.
'You need to let that go,' he told you sincerely. 'What if we spend the day in the gardens? That's whats you wanted, right?' You nodded. 'Well, let's do that.' You sighed, accepting he wasn't going to confess anything. Or maybe there wasn't anything to be concerned about, but your gut told you there was.
ONce you both got dressed, you went to the gardens, with Loki by your side. He led you to the middle where you both sat down. He picked some flowers out the grass.
'How can I make you trust me?' You shrugged. He was making a crown out of daisies and placed on top of your head. You smiled.
'But things like that do help,' you said.
'Well, you look beautiful with a crown, darling,' he told you with a wink. You looked down at the grass and picked a violet before you handed it to him. He took it from you with a smile and put it behind his ear. You giggled.
A woman in a purple dress approached you and your face dropped. Her treacherous grin and piercing eyes were taunting you as she went to sit beside Loki, who was now frowing at her presence.
'Goodmorning. I am not interrupting something, right? Lokes?' she purred, her head snuggling in the crook of his neck. Your stomach churned again and you wished that you could throw up on her. Loki clenched his jaw, and eyes you with worry on his face.
