"Where are you going?"

"I have a day off."

"Uh huh sure."

"You don't believe me?"

Rey shook her head. "But I could believe your secretly hooking up with the boss." She shrugged. "Sounds like something you'd do."

"And I thought we were getting along."

"Eh it was one day, maybe I felt like being nice."

"You held my hand."

"Like I said, felt like being nice." Rey shrugged again. "But you still have to answer my previous question bastard."

Ben laughed. "No I'm not, I've changed."

"Sure."

"I'm serious! She let me have the day off!"

"Whatever you say Solo."

He shook his head and smiled before walking out the door.

"Just so you know you're a sick bastard Ben."

"Aw thanks for the compliment Kenobi." He snickered as he swung open the door to leave.

"He seems fond of you." Rey jumped and turned around to face Phasma. "You scared me Phasma!"

"I already told you that you could call me Gwen."

"Well either way you startled me!"

"I'm sorry but I just wanted to point out his fondness of you."

"Fondness? What do you mean by that?"

Phasma shrugged. "I don't know for sure but I could see it, in his eyes, in the way he acts around you."

"Uh huh, sure." Rey turned away.

"It's true Rey and I know people." Without waiting for Rey to reply she made her way to the back once again.

"Fond of me? Ha that's bull." Rey muttered bringing her attention back to the kitchen. There was currently no customers yet so she was prepping some of the food.

"Bloody hell!" Rey snapped her hand away from the hot pan and muttered curses under her breath.

"Rey there's customers in the front!"

"Coming!"

"Okay I'll tell John and Daisy to take kitchen duty."

Rey nodded her head and clutched her hand. It was bright red. She groaned in pain as she made her way to the first table.

"Hi my name is Rey, how may I help you?"

She clenched her teeth holding back a scream of pain. Her eyes scanned over the customers in front of her. It was Ben, a girl, and a red head.

"Hey sweetie, I would like some coffee followed by a cheese burger." His voice was smooth and slow, his eyes scanned over Rey.

"Okay how about you two?"

"I would like a small low calorie salad with some lemon water."

"Um okay, how about you?" Rey looked at Ben.

"A burger and a coke please."

"Coming right up." She scurried off to the kitchen with her inflamed hand and the orders.

"Here." Rey handed over the notepad before heading off to the back.

Her eyes scanned around to see if there was a first aid kit. She spotted it in the far corner. "This better work." Her hand reached for a wrap, securing it along with an ice pack around her hand.

"Much better." She murmured before heading off to get the drinks.

"Here you go, a coffee, a coke, and lemon water."

"Thank you." Ben nodded his head slightly at her while the red head gave her a wink and the girl just glared.

"Your food will be coming soon."

"Hey Rey, are you okay?" She turned around to face John looking at her with concerned eyes.

"Yeah, just hurt my hand, it's fine." Rey managed a weak smile before reaching for the food.

"If you say so."

She nodded heading back over.

"Your salad." The girl grabbed at her plate and shot her another glare.

"Your cheese burger sir." He winked at her again. "The name is Hux sweetie."

Rey internally gagged before handing Ben his burger. He nodded at her before taking a bite of the burger.

"Who's the girl?" She turned around quickly to face Daisy. "What girl?"

"The one picking at her salad."

"Oh her. What about her?"

"Is she dating the boy with black hair? The new worker?"

"I don't know. Why would it matter?"

Daisy shrugged. "I just thought you guys had a thing, you know?" She made gestures with her hands.

"A thing?"

"Yeah, I mean, I don't know. It seemed like it, the way you two were acting yesterday?"

Rey shook her head. "There isn't and there will never be something between me and that bastard."

Daisy glanced at her for a few moments before turning her attention back to the stove.

Rey sighed and went to check on the customers. She watched Adam and Oscar serve the other tables before heading over to Ben's.

"Would you like anything else?" Rey gave them a cheesy over-perky smile.

The girl glared and opened her mouth to speak before Ben interrupted her. "The check will be fine."

"Okay I'll be right back."

As she was walking away she heard the snarky words of the girl. "That bitch was hitting on you the whole time Ben! Why didn't you tell her off or something?"

Rey narrowed her eyes and stalked off to the back.

"You okay?" It was Daisy again.

"That girl accused me of hitting on Ben! Like I'd hit on that bastard!" She laughed wearily. "I just can't believe her! I'm not a slut!"

"It's going to be fine." Daisy rested a hand on her shoulder. "Just give them the check and they should be gone."

"Okay." Rey headed back out to give them the check.

"Here you go!"

Ben reached forward and put a couple bills on the table. Rey gave them a small smile as they started to get up. "Have a nice day!" She called out her lips still curved in a perky grin.

"You too." Ben murmured, avoiding her gaze.

"My number, sweetheart." She looked down to see Hux place a piece of paper into her hands. After he did so, the girl shot her another look before following the two guys out.

Rey sighed in defeat before heading over to the front counter.
