————————-
(Kokichi's POV)

I looked back down at the crumpled white letters that littered the gray classroom floor, they covered almost every inch of the area around the desks, barely any room to walk.

It makes sense why Tsumugi wouldn't have any letters, sort of. But.... why me? Of all people? I doubt she would be trying to tell everyone she was a clear suspect, much less give away some huge hint. So.... who could've left these letters?

I looked around the dull room, looking for evidence of who or what was here.

Of course, I find nothing.
Very surprising.

I sighed. I examined some of the letters, which the names were scrawled in blood or paint. What makes these so different...?

I slowly pick up one of Shuichi's, expecting something bad.

"Dear Shuichi,
      ####################
############################# im coming for you #####
-#########"

. . .
It took me a while to respond to this one...
None of them have dates. They don't tell where they were sent to, or how they were sent. I guess that makes sense.

I smothered the thought that someone would come for us. Who would, anyway? We're just...
...

-

I've looked at everything I needed to look at in this room, I think. I'm sure Shuichi would find way more. I let the door shut behind me as my new quest to find Shuichi in the maze of school corridors started.

-
(Shuichi's POV)

I am currently hanging out with Kaede- ((A/N Author does a very intense wink at 'hanging' and 'Kaede'))

Nope,
That's a lie.

I look down solemnly at the grand piano one last time, slowly removing my hand from the soft surface before I ventured past the room. I reached my hand up to adjust my hat, and forgot it's on the deck in my room. I sighed.

I felt so bad.... I just walked out of Kaede's room without crying, mourning, feeling bad at all...-

"SHUICHI!" I whipped my head to the purple headed leader that ran down the hall in my direction, and I would've stopped it if I'd seen it sooner-
WHAM

I rub at where my head hit the concrete, groaning at the pain that grew at the back of my head.
"Shuichi! I'm so glad I found you!" Kokichi almost had stars in his eyes as he looked at me expectantly.
"Ugh.... what...?" I mumbled, still annoyed by the sudden fall.
"Sooooo I sorta found a room full'a letters, and I dunno if you wanted to check that out or not, as an Ultimate Detective!" He shouted, which didn't help my throbbing skull at all.

Wait... what letters...?

"Huh? What letters? I don't recall seeing any... anywhere, really..."
"Aha! Well, I sorta-maybe found them too! In a classroom! But, we should go before someone listens in on our conversation and kill us!"
"Kokichi, that's unlikel-"
"Come on!"

The annoying boy grabbed my hand and dashed down the hall at a speed that seemed ungodly to me.

Dang it...

We whipped around corners- well, he was dragging me at this point, as he bolted down the barren hallways until we skidded to a stop.

...

I looked up at the ordinary classroom, nothing was different from the others except the room number. It had the exact same gloomy colors in the hallway, exact same doorway, exa-

"Come on! Stop inspecting everything you see!" "Okay, Okay!" I replied quickly.

After the door opened, I could clearly see the difference.
Cards and letters were sprawled on the floor of the classroom. Desks pushed against the walls. Although, some of the letters were in assorted piles, sorted by name.
"Hmm..." looking at them more, each of them had a different handwriting. They couldn't have been from one person, or at least not from the mastermind. They also were different of their own. One would be ripped with blood soaked handwriting, another had glitter and looked like some kid did some arts and crafts.

Another thing to note is that Kokichi and Tsumugi's names were not included in any of the letters, or those letters are underneath all the other ones. But that couldn't be a possibility if Kokichi was already in this room, and went through the letters to sort them. That is, assuming he sorted them.

"I told you! A room full of letters!" He exclaimed, and he was right. For once.
"Sooooo, since YOU'RE the Detective here, how would you approach this case about finding the culprit that placed the letters?" Kokichi said, using big words to sound smarter and more professional. It didn't work.
"Well.... I guess I would first assume it was the mastermind." I said. It seemed to make sense in my mind, I mean,

Who else could've placed the letters?
(Hint)

"I guess so." Kokichi shrugged. "The only thing I can contribute is I was here at..... uh... 20 minutes ago?"
I turned my head and looked at him, before grasping one of the letters from the stacks, "Kaede". I immediately dropped the letter, watching it slowly flutter down onto the floor. "....Well, one person couldn't have written all of these. They aren't the same handwriting..." I looked around more, and looked to the corner of the room which had an open vent. "Hmm..."

I walked towards the vent, the cover had fallen on the ground from supposed pushing. "...Well, looks like this is where they entered." I said,
"What?? I didn't see that!" Kokichi whined, complaining about 'not being as good as me'. Which is a lie, clearer than water. I pulled myself up and looked through the vent, inspecting the area around it.

Someone definitely crawled through here.
I wiped my finger against the smooth metal surface of the vent. There was at least something that came through this vent, apparent by the patterns of the dust.

"But... how did they crawl through with so many letters...?
"Maybe they had a sack! Like Santa!"
"...how did they fit a sack and themselves in the vent? It seems unlikely." I concluded, holding my chin with my hand.

"Maybe... it was magic!" Kokichi exclaimed. "...." I stared at the vent, trying to piece this together in my head.

((Sorry to cut this short, I just wanted to post it because of how little I've been posting. I hope you enjoy!)
