Chapter 6
Re-Cap:
I laughed and shook my head, making sure Virgil got in the house safely before driving off, getting ready for our date.
~Virgil's PoV~
What the frick frack diddly dack patty wack snick snack crack pack slack mack quarterback crackerjack biofeedback backtrack thumbtack sidetrack tic-tac did he just to?!?!?! WHAT THE FRICK FRACK DIDDLY DACK- I'm not doing that again. BUT SERIOUSLY, WHAT DID I JUST AGREE TO?! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
I tried not to look like I was dying inside as I walked inside the house. Thomas wasn't home, his car wasn't in the driveway. I ran upstairs and then I realized, I had no idea where we were going!
Should I wear something casual? Or what if we're going to a dinner? Then fancy? But what if we're not going to a dinner? Fancy casual? GODDAMNIT, WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?!
Then I remembered I have this marvelous invention/innovation called a cell-phone (Samsung 'cause people only get iPhones 'cause it's cool and I don't give a shit about which phone I have)
(Underline is Virgil, Italics is Roman)

I sighed with relief. I looked down at myself, I decided that I wasn't gonna wear what I wore to school. I decided to just change my hoodie. It was the panda one I got from my mom. I walked downstairs and made myself some noodles
The front door opened, I looked over to see Remy. The microwave beeped and I got my noodles.
"Can you make me some too? I'll put on some Chicago PD," Remy said, walking to the TV. I nodded and also made him some noodles.
After a few minutes, I took the noodles and walked over to Remy, handing him a bowl.
We watched Chicago PD in peace. Yes, Chicago PD is set in Chicago, and we live in Florida, but it's a damn good show and it's on Hulu.
"So, you never told me you had a boyfriend," Remy said suddenly. I almost spit out my noodles. He smirked. "I'm gonna go hand out at Velma's later, so you can invite him over, just use protection," and with that, he got up and put his bowl in the sink. Leaving me paralyzed with embarrassment.
"I-I... th-that's not..." I tried, but I was too embarrassed to string together a coherent sentence. (A/N: I'm doing poetry goddamn it. I HATE POETRY BUT DAMN DOES IT GET STUCK IN YOUR HEAD)
I heard laughter from upstairs. I shook my head, finishing my noodles and putting them in the sink, going up to my room.
~Time Skip~
It's now 5:55, I'm stressing out. Thomas came back from work at 5, I told him I was going out with a friend at 6. He looked at me skeptically but shrugged and told me to be back by 10.
At exactly 6, Roman texted me, he was here. I got outside quickly, saying a quick bye to Thomas and Remy as I left.
~Remy's PoV~
"You know he's going out with his boyfriend, right?" I asked Thomas as the door shut.
"Yea,"
~Virgil's PoV~
I saw Roman's car and smiled, climbing into the passenger's seat. Roman grinned and took my hand, kissing it softly, making me blush.
"Hey Virgil," he greeted with a grin.
"Hey Ro," I responded, slightly sheepish.
We drove in silence for a little bit.
"So where are we going?" I asked. Roman grinned.
"That's for me to know and you to find out my little emo nightmare," he replied. I rolled my eyes. Roman put on some Broadway songs and started singing along to them, me jumping in sometimes.
We pulled into a movie theater parking lot. I smirked. "What are we gonna see Ro?" I asked.
"You'll find out," he smirked, booping my nose. I tried to bite his finger, he snatched his hand away. "Fiesty, you know what? You're like a kitten,"
My cheeks heated up. I glared at him with the intensity of a panther. "Don't you fucking dare call me kitten," I hissed. Roman rolled his eyes and got out of the car, I got out too. He walked up by me and took my hand.
We walked into the theater, still holding hands. I saw a few people look away, but other than that, people either smiled or didn't seem to care. No homophobic glares or rants. It was refreshing. Though it was still scary. We walked up to the lady at the front desk, who saw our intertwined hands, she smiled.
Please don't say anything. Even if it's positive. Plea-
"Tickets?" she asked, acting as if this was normal. I wished more people were like her. People either hate us or love us. Those who love us usually congratulate us on being able to be open. And don't get me wrong, I love people like that, but it also reminds me that we aren't... the default. People don't react like that to straight couples. It's nice to see someone treat us like they would treat a straight couple. It felt good to feel like a default.
(A/N: GODDAMN IT POETRY NOW IM ALL PHYLISOFICAL AND DEEPER THINKING AND SHIT. P.S: I am not gay or lesbian, so I can't say if this is how anyone feels, but I have a feeling that at least some people are like this, they just wanna be treated like the norm. I'm part of the problem, I see an LGBTQ+ member and I will squeal and grin, but-- to but in short, Virgil characterization everyone. If this made you mad, please tell me, I will delete it, I do not want to make anyone angry, I'm sorry if I offended you, have a good day)
Roman handed her the tickets, she looked at them and nodded. "Theater 9, have a good day sirs," and we were on our way. We got some popcorn and got to our theater, sitting down immediately.
OH MY GOD WE ARE WATCHING BLACK PANTHER!!!!!!!!
I grinned and looked over at Roman, who grinned back and gave my hand a squeeze.
We watched the movie, calmly.
~Authot's Note~
Hey! Sorry for the lateness!!
I got my blood drawn and felt really woozy, so I couldn't finish the chapter as quickly as I could, but it's here now :)
