A flashback to confront for the truth
You stretch and yawn as you just woke up. Frisk was still sleeping beside you. A smile slowly crept on your face as you stare at the little human. You wish you can stay like this forever. But you can't. Two days ago, Louis tried to kill G and Asriel. Then she tried to kill you. Now she's probably downstairs, floating. And ever since that happened, Asriel doesn't come out his room too much. G tried to talk to him (in your favor, since he kinda hates him right now), but he wouldn't tell him why. You wanted to be the one to talk to him, but you thought that he needed some space from you.
You sat up and combed your hair back with your fingers, sighing.
Another day.
You carefully crawled out of bed. You walked to your closet, then stopped. Your face started heating up as you remembered something you tried to forget.
"Uh, G?" you shyly ask. It was night, and Louis was asleep mid-air. Though she tried not to sleep. This was the first day of her floating.
"Hm?" He says, not looking at you. He was washing the dishes whip looking annoyed. Probably at Asriel since he's the one who's supposed to do the chores here.
"I don't have any more clothes..." You mumble. He stops and turns to look at you. You averted your gaze;he was wearing a smirk.
"And...?"
"I was wondering if I can borrow some clothes."
"Sure, sweetheart." he smiles and wipes his hands on a towel placed beside the sink.
You slightly blushed at what he called you. He walked past and went upstairs. You followed him.
This was the second time you were inside his room. Unlike the first time you went here, it was really clean now. He opened his closet and took some clothes. They were all dark colors and a few whites. But he didn't hand it to you.
"Aren't ya' gonna give me something in return?"
You blink. "What."
He chuckles. "I thought that ya' might give me a thank you gift or somethin'. I did give ya' a home. Then you're using our clothes."
"U-uh..." you realized he was right. Dang, you haven't actually thanked him properly. It made you feel guilty. "I-"
He suddenly starts walking towards you, making your heart beat faster and faster each step he takes. You feel the wall behind you and you quietly gasp. He slams his free hand beside your head as he leans closer. His smoke-scented jacket was seriously strong now.
So he pinned you to the wall. At this point, you thought you were already used to this.
You know, his flirtatious attitude.
He holds your chin as he puts the set of clothes down somewhere. You hated this, but at the same time you were expecting a kiss or something. So you did want it, but really not...?
You close your eyes, getting nervous and anxious. Soon you can feel his breath.
After a few seconds, nothing happened.
A few more seconds. Still nothing.
You didn't feel his cold hand on your chin anymore. You open your eyes. He was still pinning you, lmao-
He was looking down.
"G-G?" you whisper. He didn't move. Somehow, your body moved on its own. Your arms started wrapping itself around his neck.
Holy Sh¡t, you were hugging him.
Soon, he hugged you back.
You hit your forehead on your closet. You hiss in pain. You were so embarrassed. How did the borrowing of clothes turn into a hug fest? The whole scenario confused you so much.
Why does he suddenly act...normal? Like nothing happened between you two.
Why did you hug him anyway?
Cause I thought he needed it.
Seriously, Frisk is contagious.
You open your closet and stare at the clothes he gave you. You took a navy blue sweatpants and started to change. When you were done, you stared at yourself in the mirror. You frowned at how big it is for you.
You tried to shrugged it off and brushed your hair.
Soon, you went downstairs. Louis was awake (and is still floating). She sees you and glares.
"G ain't awake yet?" you ask her.
"You mean the skeleton? You're on a first name basis?" she scoffs. "How long have you been living here?"
"Why the hell should I tell you?" you roll your eyes as you walk to the kitchen. No one else was here so you guess you were the first to wake up. Usually, Asriel is already awake at this time.
Or maybe he's just hiding in his room again.
"Hey." you hear her. You open the fridge and see...nothing to eat without cooking. You groan. You're not in the mood to cook. Not that you can.
"I said 'hey'."
"I'm not deaf. Speak up, damn it."
"Tch."
You took the pitcher of orange juice instead and took a glass. You pour yourself a glass and walk to the living room, drinking. "What."
"That goat friend of yours..." she starts. Her mood instantly changed. "...is he usually like this?"
You eye her. "What do you mean?"
"I don't know...shy?" she turns away, but not fully since she was held up by G's yellow aura thing.
Wait, how does G's power work when he's asleep?
E h.
"I mean, I don't see him anywhere. He's cooped up in his room is me something." she says.
"No...he's not usually like this." you sigh. "I don't know what's the problem."
"I think I do..."
"What?"
"Didn't say anything."
You ignore this and walked over to the piano. You placed your glass on top of it and sat. (*Play song) You gracefully started playing "Calc" as Louis just watched you. This song took you months to master (since you also procrastinate a lot), but it's a miracle that you still remember how to play it. It's been 4 years since you've played this song.
Okay, scratch that. You made a mistake, but your one and only audience doesn't notice.
As you play the piano, upstairs in his room, the skeleton was staring at the door of his room. He puffs out a cloud of smoke as he put his cig down for a while. He listens to the melody you were playing. His thoughts were deeply troubled and is repeating only one word;
Fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck fvck
He was hella flustered with what he's done last night. And it's all because of that stupid argument he had with Asriel the other day.
Wowie, another flashback.
"I really think we should keep our distance from the humans." Asriel says, monotone. They were walking home. G would teleport them, but he's way too tired.
"'The humans'? Az, what the hell?" G scoffs. "What's going on with ya'?"
"What do you mean?"
"You're acting weird ever since ya' nursed Y/N. Did something happen or what?"
Asriel stayed silent for a few seconds. "...are we even still doing this plan?"
G blinked. "What?"
"We were gonna use them, right? To save everyone?" Asriel finally turns to look at G. His blue eyes weren't warm anymore. They were...
Room temperature.
And that's not normal for him.
"Yeah..." G says softly, almost like a whisper.
"Then let's not get attached."
"You're already attached." G responds. He saw Asriel flinch. "I can see it, Asriel, I'm not blind...
Nor dumb."
"What are you implying, exactly?"
G is angry now. He hated how his best friend was so close to you. How he can manage to smile at you like that.
And how you smile back at him.
"You fvcking like her."
S i l e n c e.
Asriel clears his throat. "Yes, I do."
"Then can you live without talking to her? Sitting next to her? Looking at her?"
"...I-"
"Ya' can't."
Asriel stops walking. G stops too. Dark lines start appearing on each side of his face as his eyes turn blacker and blacker. Asriel was making an effort to control himself.
"But I will. Because she's in love with you, a$$holë!" he screams. G just glared at him. "You don't want to lose her, I know it. But I also don't want to throw away our friendship just because..."
G softened. He didn't want to fight Asriel over you. It can't be though. Why would you love someone like him?
"Stop fighting yourself, G..."
G sighs. "Az, calm down."
Asriel was back to his original form and walked past him.
"I'm not done with you."
"G, what's going on in the house?"
G squints his eyes. He sees you fighting...another human...?
They ran towards the house.
G put the cig back on his teeth. He hears you make a mistake, and chuckles. He thought it still blended nicely with the song.
How do mistakes blend in perfectly?
Well, that's depressing.
G is worried about Asriel though. He locks himself in his room, and he doesn't want to tell him what the problem is. He's worried that the problem is actually him. Because of the argument They had.
G doesn't know, but it's not.
Asriel was wide awake and is lying on his bed. His room is the exact opposite of G's; neat and organized. To be honest, he hasn't been getting enough sleep. Ever since he saw the unknown human downstairs, he wouldn't stop thinking about...
No, it can't be her.
He thought. Yes, he's quite guilty that he's hiding. He can hear Frisk ask where he is everyday (since, you know, big floppy ears) and it torments him. He missed the tiny human, but he wasn't sure to feel about you. You make him feel like he's not a bad monster. Because of the fact that he's the son of the monster king, he's always thought of himself as one of the bad guys of the story. But whenever he's around you, you make him feel like he's a normal person. You make him feel like nothing could ever go wrong with you.
What's happening the exact opposite actually.
Oh, and your smile. He just loves your sincere, rarely seen smile.
Boy oh boy, your smile is such a magnet, huh?
Anyways, the reason why he can't sleep though is because whenever he closes his eyes, he can see his sister.
But this time, he wants to see her.
So he closed his eyes.
Asriel was 9, and his sister was 7. They were out in the palace gardens, looking for butterflies.
"Azzy! Azzy!" she squeals as Asriel walks over to her. "Look!! A new flower is gonna bloom again!!" she points at the small bud. It was surrounded with yellow flowers shaped like bells.
He can remember her pixie-cut, dark brown hair. Her reddish brown eyes were always sparkling. Her fair skin he thought would glitter under the light.
Asriel rolled to his side and tightened his grip on his blanket. He tried hard not to cry. He missed her so much...
'You don't need to hold it in...'
As if you were there, he heard your voice. He sat up as tears started to roll down his face. He wipes it away, and stands. He quietly walks outside to G's room.
You finished the song. You were kind of embarrassed that you had some mistakes, but Louis doesn't notice. She thought it was part of the song.
"My brother knows how to play the piano too." Louis says and you turn to her, finishing your glass. "Too bad he isn't here to flex his skills."
"Where is he?" you ask.
She stiffened. You notice and raise a brow in confusion. You were about to ask, when suddenly she falls on the floor. There was no yellow aura anymore. Was G finally tired?
Louis quickly stands and brush the dust off of her. "Nice talking to you, pretty, but I got to go."
You stand and quickly block the door.
Why does everyone have nicknames for me?!
Louis was about to run at you until she was hovering in the air again. But instead of yellow aura, it was a black one with trials of rainbow. You blink. Honestly, it looked cool for you. Then you hear footsteps going down the stairs. You turn to see Asriel, but not?
His eyes were black while his pupils were white. There was a dark line on each side of his face that started from under his chin until under his eyes. His horns were more curled back. He looked intimidating in a cool sort of way. Plus, he's wearing all black.
He turns to you with a smile. It honestly made you swoon just a tad bit.
Y/N has a kink for monsters with dark eyes and dark lines on their face who are ready to beat the sh¡t out of you.
Noice.
"Y/N, I'll take this from here." he says and sits on the couch. Louis floats away and in front of Asriel. You just blink. "Thanks. You should go upstairs. Frisk is asking for you."
You nodded and went to the foot of the stairs, passing Louis. She glares at you while you gave her a sassy smirk. You went upstairs.
"Long time no see." Asriel changed his position. His legs were crossed with his arms resting on it. He was smiling.
"Hello to you too, smiley trash bag." Louis smiles too, only it was a forced one.
"G."
G blinks. "Get in."
Asriel steps inside and closes the door behind him. "Ugh, open the window when you're gonna smoke. And clean your room." he cringed at the smell.
G just grins. "Glad to have ya' back." the cig floats from his palm, and disappears with a flash of yellow light. "What happened? Why'd ya' shut us out?"
Asriel smiles apologetically. "I will explain, but now is not the best time."
"It's the good time though."
"G, I'm serious."
"Alright."
Asriel scratches his neck. "Let the human go for a while. I need to talk to her."
"Ya' mean Louis?"
"Louis? That's her name?"
"Yeah."
Asriel looks down. "I see..."
G takes note of this, but ignores it. "Okay. Tell me everything later." Asriel smiles and goes outside. G snaps his fingers and chuckles.
"I have a feeling the Louis girl is gonna have a bad time."

Everyone didn't feel too good today because of the different events that happened the last few days. But maybe one of it would lead them to someone they thought they have lost forever.
