Lila was born weighing five pounds and four ounces. Her skin color was a slight yellow color. But still a beauty no matter what. But you know what they say. There is always a calm before the storm. Our beautiful Lila was born but suddenly things changed. Not with Lila but with Lily. All of a sudden, the machines began to beep recklessly. The nurse placed Lila in the small portable crib. And I just couldn't quite get what was being said. I couldn't get what was going on. I couldn't get up so I was only seeing everything from where I was seated. Watching as they moved around quickly. Suddenly they take Lila out of the room. They were talking to me but I couldn't comprehend. It was as if the entire room went silent but in reckless chaos.

I was being wheeled out of the room. "Wait!" I screamed. But they didn't wait. "Stop!" Again they didn't listen. They simply kept pushing me towards the elevators. I didn't get to see where they wheeled Lila. Since they wheeled her out before me. "Wait! Where did you take my daughter?" I was beginning to panic. Where would they take my daughter? I kept questioning myself. "Lily!? Why are you taking me away? Lily!" We were in the elevator now. "Sir, you need to relax. Something is going on but you, yourself are also a patient. Your daughter was sent to the nursery to get checked up. You need to go to your room and rest. Everything will be ok and they will let us know when you can visit again. But to do that I need you to calm down. They won't allow you there, acting how you are." I didn't speak. I sat there with silent tears. All I wanted was to be with my girls. To know if they were both ok. I wanted to know why Lily's machines went off. I wanted to know why it became a chaotic room? Why were we wheeled out? Why couldn't I stay with her? My mind was in a war. A war I couldn't end until I saw both my girls. I was helped into my bed. I still didn't speak. "We will let you know when you'll be able to go up again." Nodded and walked out. I laid there crying in silence confused.
