Chapter 68.

Jasleena

It's the following morning, my love's birthday. I woke up before Luka, so I decided to go make him some breakfast. I grabbed my phone and noticed a few texts from mom. Just letting me know when she had arrived at their rental and how she'll see us in the afternoon to help with dinner. I smiled and put my phone in my robe pocket. I went into the bathroom and got myself freshened up. Headed to the kitchen and began breakfast. I made pancakes, eggs and toast with a mug of coffee. I brought it to the bedroom and placed it next to the bed. I slowly woke him up. "Love, happy birthdayyyy." I kissed him all over his face. He grunted and started moving. "Oh Lukaaasssss." I started poking him. He started laughing. "Ok. Ok. I'm up." He opened his eyes and looked right at me, then at the food. "Thank you pretty lady." I smiled at him and nodded. Kissed him on the head and got up. "Enjoy, I'm going to clean up the kitchen before mom shows up." We both laughed knowing my mom would freak out if she saw any mess at all.

Around noon, someone was knocking on the door. I thought it had to be my parents. And it was. "Leena! Hi!" She hugs me tight. "Hi ma." I hugged her back. "I've brought you a surprise!" She was excited. She let go of me and moved aside. "Leena!" I was so happy to see Paola. She hugged me tightly. I missed my best friend. We didn't talk often but she was still my best friend. "Paola." I was hugging her back. She let go and went down to my belly. "Hey there little baby! I hope we find out what you are soon. Your titi is excited." I giggled. "How are you Paola?" She gave me a small smile. "I'm okay. A lot has changed in the last two months." I hoped it was a good change. Well it looked like a good change. She didn't seem so blue. There was more spark in her than the last time I saw her. "We definitely have to speak later then." She laughed, "For sure." With that we went inside.

Inside, we went into the kitchen to start prepping for dinner. Luka joined dad in the living room to watch a sports game. Mom, Paola and I conversed as we prepped. A few hours later, after finishing dinner and getting ready, Lukas parents arrived. Then Jake and his family arrived. They all wished Luka a happy birthday and we sat down for dinner. It went really well. "Everyone." Luka paused, waiting on everyone's attention. I walked towards the bedroom and grabbed the gift bag. It was gray so no one could guess the gender by the bag. Luka waited until I got back to continue. "We have something to announce to you all." Everyone was staring at us. "We found out the gender of the baby two days ago and wanted to share the news with you all in person." Everyone either gasped, clapped in excitement or smiled. I let Luka grab the bag from me so he can pull the dress out. "Everyone close your eyes." Everyone laughed. "I'm serious." Then they stopped. They closed their eyes and waited on Lukas next words. He took the dress out the bag after making sure no one was peaking. "Open." As they were opening their eyes we both yelled, "It's a girl!" Everyone was clapping and screaming "Yes!" It was awesome. When they finally calmed down and let us speak again, I spoke up. "Her name will be Lila Mae Anderson." Everyone broke out in awwws. It was a great night. Luka thanked everyone as they were leaving. "This was the best birthday ever." He whispered in my ear. "I love you Lily." He kissed my head as he wrapped his arms around me. Rubbing my belly he then said, "You too princess." I smiled.
