A baby girl. We were having a baby girl. Daddy's little girl. Bell would have a friend to play with. I hoped she looked like her mommy. I was so excited. So happy. I couldn't wait to yell it to the world that I was going to have a daughter. I was so blessed and grateful. How could I not be? I was having a baby girl with the girl I've learned to love most! I can honestly say I did not hear a thing that was said after the tech announced the baby being a girl. My excitement had taken over. I loved watching Lily's belly grow. I loved when she needed things from me because some days she wanted nothing to do with me. I loved seeing her interact and become good friends with Jenni. I loved watching how Bell loved Lily's attention. I loved how my parents welcomed her with open arms. They didn't judge us for how soon everything happened or anything. Those past two months had been precious. And I couldn't wait to see the next few more. Then the day his beautiful daughter would enter the world. What an amazing early birthday gift.

I was taken out of my thoughts when I felt Lily grab my hand. I looked up at her and she looked worried. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked her. "I called your name a few times, you were completely out of it. So you worried me a bit." I frowned. "I'm so sorry, I was just thinking. Think I'm a little too happy and excited." We both laughed. She nodded, "Well all is well the doctor confirmed she's a baby girl." I beamed with happiness. "We're good to head out now love." I nodded, grabbed her hand and began to head out. She was holding some ultrasound pictures of the baby. "Can I see?" She nodded, "Of course!" She handed them to me and I looked at each one carefully. I was in awe of how descriptive these could get. There was one with her finger in her mouth. Another of her little feet. Another of her hands. I didn't realize I shed a tear until I felt Lily wipe it. "I love you Jasleena, with all my heart." She smiled, "I love you too Lukas." I smiled at her and then heard her belly growl. We both started laughing. "Well off we go someone's hungry." And we both started laughing again as we left the hospital.

We stopped at our favorite cafe. We had our usual and just conversed lightly. We heard the door but didn't look until we heard a loud gasp. Our heads both shifted the direction it came from. And there stood no other than the one female I detested. Britteney. She gave us the ugliest look and stomped our direction. Looked between the both of us. Then looked down at Lily's belly and her face got even angrier. Before she could say a word Lily did. "May we help you? If not, you can see your way out." She looked annoyed. But Britteney didn't expect that from her. She eyed her again, turned around and left. She didn't even stay to order herself anything. "That was hot." I winked at her. She glared but then started laughing.
