It was finally March 30th. When I woke up, Luka was already up with a cup of coffee. "I couldn't sleep too much, I think I'm way too excited." I laughed and shook my head. I headed to the bathroom to freshen up and do my morning routine. Going into the kitchen, Luka hands me a mug of coffee and a plate with a toasted bagel with cream cheese. "Thank you. We can head out in about thirty minutes since we have to be there fifteen minutes ahead." He nodded with a huge smile. I finished my breakfast and threw on some leggings and a big t-shirt since my belly is growing and all I ever want is to be comfortable. "Ready?" He looked so anxious. "Ready." I giggled and we left. The entire ride he tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. He was too cute.

At the hospital, we went and registered. After that we were sent to the fifth floor. I went to that front desk so they would know I had arrived and we were sent to a waiting room. "Are you nervous?" I looked at him. "No, but I know you are." I giggled because he rolled his eyes. "Jasleena." Both our eyes grew slightly bigger as we heard them call my name. It's time. We both got up at the same time and walked towards the nurse. She asked to see my bracelet to confirm it's actually me and we started walking. In the ultrasound room she told us the tech would soon arrive and then the doctor would confirm everything the tech checked. She left the room, leaving just Luka and I. "I love you Lily." I smiled, "I love you too Luka." He smiled. We didn't talk again, we were just in a very comfortable silence. Wondering what we would be having. A girl or a boy. Either one was fine. I just wanted a healthy baby.

A few minutes later, the tech came in. She explained everything that would get done. I laid in the bed and she lifted my top. She put the yucky gel onto my belly and used the wand to find the baby. She showed us many different body parts. Told us it looked like the baby had already grown some hair. She continued with measurements and all that stuff. A good ten minutes later was when she asked, "Would you like to know the gender?" I smiled really big and looked towards Luka. "Yes!" He almost yelled. I laughed. "I'm sorry, just excited." We all laughed a bit. "It's ok." She started moving the wand again and then there were the legs. The baby had them crossed so the tech was trying to nudge at my belly to get her to move. And it worked. The baby's legs opened but closed quickly. "I got it." The nurse was fast enough to actually get the picture. "Congratulations, it's a baby girl!" Luka jumped up out of his seat in excitement. My eyes began to tear. I was so happy. Luka was so happy. We were so happy. Our baby girl.
