Jasleena

I walked and walked until I reached a small cafe. I didn't have anything to eat because the minute I had woken up everything went all over the place. I didn't have much of an appetite but I knew I needed to eat. It was still pretty early too, so I thought maybe a bagel and coffee would do. As I walked in I bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention." I didn't even look up with embarrassment. "Hey, no biggie. But maybe looking up would help." He chucked, he sounded very familiar though. I looked up and I was shocked to see the Luke guy from the bar. "Hey it's you! Are you ok? Is your little boyfriend going to come in here too?" I knew he was just joking around but I just couldn't find it in me to laugh. Instead my traitor eyes chose to release a few tears. I had turned my face quickly to wipe my face, before he noticed. "Hey, hey, hey I didn't mean to upset you..." He looked so guilty. I shook my head in a 'no' motion, "It isn't you, I'm sorry. It's just been one hell of a night and morning. I'll get out of your way now." I walked away.

He followed me, "Hey hold up." I turn. "Let me at least keep you some company." I just stood there staring at him. He grabbed my hand and I just looked at our united hands. "Table for two please." I was so shocked at that moment that I couldn't even speak. "Sit wherever you'd like." Said the lady at the register. He tugged my arm a bit towards a small booth in the back corner. "I figured you didn't want to be in complete vision." He smiled, and what a sight that was. "I know we only met at the bar for like two seconds but we can be friends if you'd like. What's your name since I couldn't ask last night?" I gave him a small smile, "Jasleena." He smiled that pretty smile of his. "Well, Jasleena, it is very nice to meet you. I am Luke, short for Lukas." He had extended his hand to formally shake mine. It made me giggle, but I took his hand anyway. A waiter went and took our orders. I got a bagel with a small coffee and he got a hot tea.
