☾Chapter 7☽

A/N So I'm thinking I might put some of my other stories on hold (Except for the one-shots 'cause I have sooo many head canons to turn into stories.) at least until I finish this one :3 I'd say we're about half-done XOXO ~ Vi

Third Person POV (Limited)

"Come in," Makarov answered. Both Loke and Lucy took a deep breath before opening the door to step inside. Lucy took a deep breathe to prepare herself for any possible hostility, though she had always seen the Master as a sort of grandfather-figure.
Loke took a breath to soothe Lucy's nervousness. "Loke, nice to see you again, my boy." Master gave him a small grin, completely ignoring the fact that Lucy was there as well.

"Right, hey Gramps, I wanted to ask you about how the guild is acting around Lucy." For the first time since they'd stepped inside his office, Master acknowledged Lucy's presence.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about," He grumbled, turned away, seemingly clueless about Lucy's treatment thus far.
Loke's gaze sharpened disbelievingly and he crossed his arms, as he turned to face the master.

"You two should leave now," He uttered, his expression deadpan.
"But—"
"Let's go, Loke." Lucy's tone was filled with disappointment, Honestly, what did I expect..
Her thoughts jumbled with one another; and then, she saw— or perhaps a better word would be witnessed a scene which she wanted to avoid.
"Aku! Will you go out with me?!" A salmon-haired head popped out against all the others.
Lucy could only stare.

"N-Natsu! What are you doing? We're in the middle of the guild!" Akumu stuttered, her face turned pink as she waved her arms frantically.
"But!"
"No buts!"
Natsu's expression immediately turned into a pout, "I wanted to ask you in a better way, but Popsicle over here dared me to here!" He shouted, pointing at the nonchalant Gray.

"Dunno what you're talkin' about, Flame for Brains," Gray said coolly (EXCUSE MY PUN, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE SERIOUS D;)
Natsu gulped.
Of course Gray hadn't actually dared him to ask out Akumu, he just needed a clean escape from whatever wrath he was bound to face.
Aku gave an exasperated sigh; a smile soon formed on her lips.
"It's fine Natsu, I was just kidding around," Her accented voice shook with laughter.

"Woohoo!" The Fire Dragon Slayer's yell rang throughout the hall.
"Lucy?" Loke felt her movement beside him, and turned just in time for him to see Lucy dash away quickly.
Lucy ran.
She didn't have a clue where she was going, but she didn't stop.
She ran until her legs gave out underneath her.
She ran until she was out of breath.
She ran until her tears were mere droplets; falling onto the ground below her ever-so gently.

Finally, she stopped.
Why do I even care? Their relationship should be none of my business! I shouldn't care!
I don't! Even so, the young girl wept; alike to the rain falling from the clouds.
"Lucy!" The trio of Exceeds, whom Lucy had gotten used to seeing so much over the month, approached her.
"Happy.." The blue Exceed jumped into Lucy's arms.
"Lu-shee..." In his eyes, were unshed tears, tears that surprised the blonde mage.
"Happy, why on Earthland are you crying?" Lucy's own tears stopped temporarily, the state of her small friend took priority over her own.

Pantherlily and Charle were suspended in the air, watching the two.

"Natsu got mad at me.."
This sparked a bit of anger coming from Lucy.
"How come?" Her mouth set into a frown.
"I told him that he should be nicer to you, since you're a part of the team too," Happy began, sniffling all the while.
"But he said that you were too weak, a-and that we didn't need someone like you."
Once again, Lucy's eyes filled with tears, she had cried so much that she was certain she no longer had that ability.

She was mistaken.

"C'mon, let's get you home.." Loke reappeared in front of Lucy, his face however, was much more grim than before, having heard what Happy said.
Apparently, Lucy had ran further than she thought.
It took them at least an hour to arrive at Lucy's apartment.
Loke closed his gate immediately to meet up with the other Celestial Spirits and discuss what they were going to do now.
There was no way they would let Lucy suffer any more heartache.
If the Spirit King were to try and stop them, so be it, they would do anything it took to help.

"Would you like us to stay with you tonight, Lucy?" Charle asked, her tone was surprisingly sympathetic.
Her concern was well appreciated, "Only if it wouldn't be too much trouble." Lucy smiled slightly.
"Not at all." Pantherlily stated.
Lucy took her spot in her bed, covered herself with her blanket and fell asleep with a certain person on her mind.
After she fell asleep, the Exceeds took their leave.

"Goodnight, Lu-shee.." Happy said and patted Lucy's head.

The very next day, Lucy arrived at the guild hall.
She took a deep breath before heading inside.

Instantly, she felt a sharp sting on her cheek.
She looked on in shock.
Natsu had hit her.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! You—I can't believe you!"
"Wha—"
Lucy could only look on in shock as the rest of Team Natsu—including the ever-so gentle Wendy started accusing her.
"Lucy, do you understand the gravity of your situation?"
"How dare you even show your face here?"
"How could you do this to Aku?"

Lucy then looked towards Aku, out cold in Natsu's arms, blood all over, bruises, cuts, and scratches decorated her unconscious form.
"Natsu, I didn't—"
"Save it, I hate you."

Those words echoed in Lucy's mind.
"I hate you."
"I hate you."
"I hate you."
Natsu Dragneel, her best friend, hated her.

A/N weeeeelp, shit's gonna go down for the next couple chapters— I'm lying. Shit's gonna go down for the rest of the god damned book. XOXO ~ Vi <3
