"Cyrus Goodman and detention, I thought I'd never have to say those two things in the same sentence" Buffy says opening her lunch bag.

"Yeah well me and Jonah were in the hall talking-"

"Oh yeah I was gonna ask you. What's up with Jonah, like holding onto your wrist and hand today?" Andi asks cutting me off.

"We might get our answer, here he comes" Buffy says.

I turn my head and there he is walking over here with the biggest smile on his face.

"Guys look for signs" Andi whispers.

"Signs for what?" I ask.

"That he likes you" Buffy says in a duh tone.

"He doesn't like me" I roll my eyes.

"Who doesn't like you?" Jonah's smile disappears, as he sits down next to me at the lunch table.

"Ummmm" I look at Andi and Buffy for help, and they just shrug there shoulders "Jake, he doesn't like me obviously" I lie and try to act sad.

"Oh, well I mean he's not the only one. Sadly, but I like you" His smile reappears as he looks at me, and I turn my head looking the other direction blushing.

"Oh wow, major sign" Andi speaks.

"What're you guys doing?" Jonah asks looking at Buffy and Andi who are both staring down at Buffy's phone, which you can obviously tell is not turned on.

"Nothing" they both say at the same time, and I shoot them a glare silently telling them to be more secretive about what they're doing.

"Am I missing something?" Jonah arches his eyebrow and he looks at all three of us.

"No not at all" Buffy snickers.

"What's up with them?" Jonah whispers in my ear causing me to shiver. "Oh are you cold? You can wear my jacket if you want" Jonah begins to unzip his jacket and I place my hand on his shoulder stopping him.

Andi and Buffy begin giggling and I don't even bother looking up at them to know what they're giggling about.

"Hey Jonah can we talk to you?!" Some kids from another table shout.

"Yeah sure" He replies. "See you in detention Cy-Guy" Then he gets up and leaves.

"He just admitted that he liked you" Buffy smiles.

"Yeah as a friend" I sigh.

"No as in, he thinks you're perfect boyfriend material" Andi says.

"No as in, he's super straight and I'm gonna be stuck in the friend zone forever" I roll my eyes.

"Cyrus there is a possibility he could be bisexual though" Andi says.

"Yeah" Buffy agrees.

I turn my head to look at Jonah and he smiles at me and I turn my head back to Buffy and Andi.

"Okay but even if he was, he wouldn't date me"

"Okay now you're just being hard on yourself" Andi and Buffy say together and I just shrug my shoulders.

On my way to detention. I begin to freak, I Cyrus Goodman should not be in detention. It's in my name GOODman, and good people shouldn't be punished.

Also when I asked Andi what happens in detention since she's been there before, all she could say was "Just don't do anything I wouldn't" and she starts snickering along with Buffy which caused me to roll my eyes at them for like the millionth time today.

Also this could end up on my permanent school record, and according to Bex it isn't real but I don't think the school has enough time to print out that many Sudoku papers to put in all those troublemakers folders.

Oh look I'm in front of the library already, great way to start off your Friday Cyrus. Well on the bright side Jonah is stuck in here with me too.

I walk inside breathing in the fresh smell of, dust, coffee, depression, and new books.

Delightful, note the sarcasm.

"Name?" The librarian startles me and I jump a little and I stare at her, until I can register what I was actually doing here in the first place.

"Cyrus Goodman" I say looking around the library until I spot Jonah's face through these books on a bookshelf.

"Okay no talking, you got an hour go sit" She says all lazily and I walk off towards Jonah.

I pull out the other chair at the table, and I sit next to him.

"What's up?" I whisper and try to act cool.

"The sky" Jonah replies with no emotion in his voice, which means something's wrong because he always has a smile on his face.

"What's wrong?"

"I just broke up with Amber, for good this time" He sighs, and I silently cheer inside.

"Why what happened?" Not that I'm complaining, but I still want to know if he's okay.

"I just don't want a girlfriend right now" We sit in a somewhat comfortable silence until he speaks again. "Do you want to go bowling later?"

"No, I'm not really comfortable with the concept of putting my feet in someone else's used shoes." I scrunch my nose at the idea and Jonah Beck actually freaking giggles, which is like the most adorable thing in the world.

"That was cute, you scrunching your nose up like that" He covers his mouth with his hand trying to muffle out his laughter, and I actually begin to start laughing too for no reason.

Once we both calm down from laughing Jonah speaks again. "How about the movies?"

"Depends on which movie"

"A horror movie?"

"No thank you"

"Come on it'll be totally awesome. Please? I want to hang out with you" He pouts at me and he sticks his bottom lip out, making me give in.

"Fine, but you're paying for everything"

"Deal"

"Shhhhh!" The librarian comes over and silences us, then she walks away.

"Oops" Jonah laughs quietly, and I laugh with him.

"This is a date" Buffy says.

"It's not a date" I roll my eyes, if I hang out with Buffy and Andi anytime longer I'll probably be needing eye surgery to get my eyeballs rolled back into there sockets.

"It is too, he even said that he doesn't want a girlfriend. Which can only mean one thing, that he wants a boyfriend" Andi says.

"No, it could mean that he just got out of a relationship so he's not looking for one anytime soon"

"Cyrus it's a date, stop trying to deny it" Buffy says.

"For the last time no it's not"

"Yes it is" Buffy and Andi say at the same time trying there best to convince me right now that I, Cyrus is about to go on a date with the one and only Jonah Beck.

I'll agree with them in my dreams but right now this is reality, and I'm just about to go hang with one of my best buds that I happen to like a lot.

"Okay Cyrus you have got to go, it's seven and we can not have Jonah thinking your standing him up" Buffy begins pushing me out the door.

"Wait breath check" Andi runs and jumps in front of me. "Say Ahhh"

"Ahhhh" I say extra breathy.

"Oooh peppermint, okay now boogie check, hold your head back" Andi tells me.

"I'm not-"

"HEAD BACK!" Buffy and Andi yell at me, and I hold my head back.

"Clean" Andi says after she looks up my nose.

"Okay have fun" Buffy says as she places her foot on my back and kicks me out of my own bedroom. "But not to much if you know what I mean, love you" then she slams the door in my face and I make my way down stairs.

"Mom I'm going to the movies" I say walking past the kitchen.

"No you're not, I'm not letting you walk all the way to the movies, outside all alone at this time of night"

"It's not even that far" I sigh, Then the doorbell rings and I open it, widening my eyes at who it is.

Amber.

To be honest I wasn't even planning on throwing Amber in like that at the end, but lets just see what happens in the next chapter.
