Not in my 'can do' books
"I won't allow it." the head dwarf spoke up as he glared at me.
"Thorin! She is the chosen one, her presence is more important than anyone else' even your own!" Grandfather said.
"What is your name little one?" Grandfather asked as he looked down at me. "Ella, wif-- Uhh.. Just Ella." I stuttered almost revealed that I was Legolas' wife.
"Well Ella, I am Gandalf and if you are from a different time you must know us." he said making the others stare at me like I am some clown. I nodded my head and just kept quiet as we continued the journey I got to know the others except Thorin who didn't want me here.
"We were throwing plates everywhere! You should've seen the look on Bilbo's face!" Fili cried as he wiped the laughing tear that escaped his eye. "It was worth every gold on Middle earth!" Kili added as they all burst out in a big fit of laughter. Bilbo was riding his pony behind us sulking every time they burst out laughing I giggled and mentally agreed when Grandfather told me that the company of Thorin was a hand full but a bundle of happiness. "Ella, if you are the chosen one and you are here then that must mean a great danger will be faced." Balin said more like a statement rather than a question.
I bit my lower lip and said "Let's just say someone evil kidnapped my son and brought him to the past. This evil is messing with time this evil does not belong here. She is planning to kill everyone leaving no survivors starting with Gandalf."
Everyone's eyes were on me even Grandfather and Thorin. In my own opinion I thought Ally was down right stupid because if she kills everyone including mother who is still in Middle Earth at the moment-- wait! My mom is still alive. I remember grandfather told me that she usually hangs out with Radagast which kind of upsets Grandfather because he wanted mom to be with him-- back to the point I think Ally is stupid because if she kills our mother then she will fade because she won't exist and so would I.
"I could never imagine something like that happen to my family." Gloin spoke up.
"You must be one strong chosen one... why don't you tell us about your--" Kili was cut off as Grandfather spoke, "She can't tell us anything of the future young dwarf. It will affect us all... even if it's for the good."
Some of the dwarves pouted all wanted to know if they'll claim Erebor or die in the fires of Smaug but I already knew what was gonna happen and even though I wanted to save those who died I just can't, I wasn't even allowed to fight in their battle. My mission was to kill Ally, get my son and go back to my time.

But I forgot all about the Troll stones and yet here I was rolling over the fire along with some other dwarves. "It has been a long time since I have tasted an elf." one of the trolls groaned. I wish I have arrived before they entered Mirkwood it would have been much easier on my part. As I watched everything from rolling over a fire which was making me really dizzy. I could have broken out and could've helped and killed the trolls easily but I wasn't allowed to.
"Ella now would be a good time to use that powers of yours." one of the dwarves said but I just rolled my eyes and replied back "Can't, it is not in my 'can do' book besides we'll be fine."
"You crazy elf! We are rolling over fire soon we will be roasted dwarves and you'll be a roasted elf. Not a good ending to the chosen one's story." another dwarf said. That's when Bilbo spoke up and started telling the dwarves that we were infected with parasites and out of boredom I also started calling out that I have parasites and that's when I saw Grandfather, I smiled and mouthed the words he was chanting.
"The dawn will take you all."
That's when the trolls started turning into stone, when they helped us down I quickly got my stuff but suddenly Thorin yanked my arm and hissed "If you are not of use in this group I suggest you leave."
"I will be more of use than you'll ever imagine." I talked back. "Half of our group almost died just because you cannot do such things, I suggest you fight before I cut your own--" But Thorin was cut off as Grandfather said "She will stay and do as she pleases and you will not lay a single finger on her, if she says she can't do a certain thing then she'll not be forced to." Thorin glared at Grandfather then to me as he dropped my arm and stalked away.
"There is a cave up there! That's all I can say." I shouted to the group. "Is there danger there?" Thorin asked clearly not trusting anything I say. I just rolled my eyes and said "No, but if you don't trust me I'll go first." As I started walking towards the troll caves that are not too far ahead. Of course Thorin despised me not only was I an elf but I was an elleth who randomly tagged along with the company who has no knowledge of my background. He had every right not to trust me but he just had to since I was the chosen one.
"Something's coming!!" a dwarf shouted. I couldn't exactly remember each detail of my grandfather's stories but I knew something was suppose to happen right-- suddenly an old man cloaked in brown emerged from the bushes shouting like a mad man.
"Thieves! Fire! Murder!" Oh, it was only Radagast. "Calm yourself Radagast!" another voice spoke, a voice so familiar that I would never mistaken it for another person.
Mom.
She slowly emerged from the bushes were Radagast came out, her familiar hazel eyes staring back at me. She was wearing green silk robes that made her blonde curls stand out but she wasn't as beautiful as Arwen or Galadriel but she was my mother and she will always be beautiful to me. Her wooden staff and green crystal laid gently in her right hand. "Father! You're here!" Her eyes beamed as she stared at Grandfather. All I really wanted to do was hug her-- and that's what I exactly did.
I ran to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. I felt her body tensed and she let out a nervous laugh. "Oh my, Father who is the young one?" she asked.
"That is Ella the chosen one, she is not from this time." he replied.
"So you must know me in the future." my mother told me.
"Yes, I know you very well." I told her as tears started pouring from my eyes. She giggled but then returned the hug while Radagast and Grandfather talked.
"Guys! This is Aubrey daughter of Gandalf the Grey." I introduced her to the dwarves.
"So Gandalf has a wife?" Bofur asked out of curiosity my mother laughed then shook her head as she said "No, I was made with the stars and Gandalf's blood when he made me it was granted by the Valar that Gandalf will have a daughter."
"Creepy" one dwarf said.
"If Gandalf is the Grey then what are you?" Bilbo asked.
"I am Aubrey the green keeper of the trees. It is my duty to talk to trees and take care of them especially Ents." my mother said which surprised me since she didn't live long to tell me her tales of herself neither did I ask Grandfather or anybody else since it was a touchy subject.
Suddenly we have been spotted by orcs and wargs and we were about to rush off again.
"Moth-- I mean Aubrey." I called out mentally slapping myself for almost calling her 'mother' "Yes?" she asked showing her dashing smile that I oh so miss. I was also having a battle in my head if I should risk this, risk everything it would make a great impact in the future but I would do anything to be with my mother again.
"Can I give you advice?" I asked, her eyes darkened as she knew what I meant. "It will mess the futu--" but I cut her off. "Yes it will but this means much not only to me but to Nick." Nick was my father and just by the mention of his name made my mother soften.
Nick was a secret not even Grandfather knew but Nick was a simple man from earth and my mother's duty was to the trees it so happens that one of the superior Ents asked my mother to go to earth and speak to the trees and she was terrified of how she saw the earthlings cut and burn trees, she could hear their screams. That's when she met my dad who was the one who tried protecting the trees since he lived near them. She felt a connection with father and both of them tried their best to stop the madness and once they did they both started falling for each other but when my mother told him the truth my father was scared of her so with all of her power she made a necklace for my father if ever he wanted to contact her he just had to break the necklace, which right now he'll break when the dwarves reach Erebor.
I saw the scared look in my mother's eyes, she cared deeply for my father. "What is it then?" she asked. I smiled as I felt happy tears about to fall. "When you and Nick are together in the future once your eldest child moves out or goes to Middle Earth leave the house with Nick alone, don't bring your youngest child and don't tell your youngest child where you are going... just don't have anything to do with your youngest child." I said quickly but before I could run off I pulled her in another hug and then ran with the others.
Hoping this was not a mistake because this was not in my 'can do' book.
