With a heavy sigh, Patty struggled to shove his phone into the back pocket of his skinny jeans; begrudgingly he trudged downstairs, ignoring the constant 'ping' of a text message.

"Patty!"

Startled the boy blinked and looked around. He noticed a small energetic boy pulling a taller, slightly less enthusiastic boy behind him. They were both headed towards Patty.

Panic filled his clear blue eyes. If he didn't move they would both barrel straight into him, knocking all three to the ground.

Party thought about jumping into the road but with a large school bus headed their way, he had a dilemma.

Get hit by a bus that could potentially kill him or get hit by a really gay couple that would most likely give him concussion?

He made the wise decision of jumping backwards into a bush. Branches scratched his arms and neck as they caught his flailing body.

"Ow."

"Patty?" A voice from outside the veil of leaves asked. "Yup." He called back.

Two arms reached in and grabbed his wrists, pulling him out. Brown eyes stared into his, a barely concealed smirk hidden behind a concerned expression.

"You good bro?" Geoff asked.

"I'm peachy." Patty responded, brushing himself down to detach any stray leaves. "Are you peach lobotomy though?" The smaller boy asked from beside Geoff.

Channelling all his anxiety from worrying about meeting Ben, Patty tried to turn it into anger and sent a very weak death glare Awsten's way.

"Shut up Awsten." The blonde muttered. "Wow Walters. You don't even have it in you to be mean or rude do you?" Awsten sniggered.

"No." Patty admitted. "But it's only because you're my best friend and it's not fair if I send you a death glare because you don't deserve it."

"Trust me he does." Geoff told Patty, throwing an arm around his small boyfriend. Awsten looked up at the brunette with an indignant expression and jabbed him in the ribs before sighing and melting into his side.

Patty mentally awed. They were adorable. He wanted that.

"You can have that."

The blonde boy snapped his head up. "What?"

"You said that out loud dumb ass. I said you can have that. Just go see him already. RH finished ten minutes ago." Awsten told him. Geoff nodded.

Patty looked around. Awsten was right. Everyone from their school had already left and he could see the swarm of students pour out of the school opposite. RH was shit and had the worst reputation.

Gang fights, drug abuse, break in's. They had the school on lockdown as soon as it started. He didn't know how Ben survived in there.

"He should transfer." Geoff mused. Awsten nodded and finished his boyfriend's thought. "Yeah and then Patty can see his 'boyfriend'."

All three knew he was teasing but Awsten stopped laughing when he saw Patty bite his lip, trying to push back a smile. "Am I missing something here?" He asked. Geoff shrugged.

"He asked me out last night." Patty whispered, averting his gaze to his feet. "Get it boy!" Awsten yelled. Geoff rolled his eyes and grabbed Awsten's hand, interlocking their fingers in an attempt to calm the smaller boy.

The blonde blushed and shook his head violently. The blue boy sighed dramatically; grabbing Patty's hand, he dragged him across the road.

Awsten stopped and pointed in front of them at a boy with blonde brown hair staring at his phone. Patty's heart stopped.

"Ben." His voice was quiet and barely audible. "Ben." He said a little louder. The boy didn't look up.

"Ben!" Patty shouted. He looked up. Blue eyes started into blue. Ben's mouth dropped open as realisation crossed his face.

"Patty?" Ben shouted back. The blonde nodded and tore his hand from Awsten's, running as fast as possible towards Ben.

Arms encircled him, lifting him up as he barrelled into a warm body. Burying his face in Ben's shoulder, Patty laughed.

"It's really you. You're real." Patty said in shock. "Yeah, it's me." Ben replied, equally shocked. He hadn't expected this.

Patty lifted his head as Ben set him on the ground.

"Your eyes are even bluer in person." Ben said with a smile. "So are yours." Patty replied with a giggle.

"Bluer. Blue. Bluer." The blonde hummed, loving the way the word fell of his tongue. Ben smiled at his...boyfriend?

"Hey Patty?"

"Yeah?"

"What are we?" Ben asked, tucking a lock of hair behind the smaller boys ear. A mischevious look spread across Patty's face.

He inhaled and shoved his face into Ben's without a second thought. It wasn't the kiss he expected and it didn't go the way Patty planned but there was tongue and vibrations as Patty laughed into Ben's mouth.

He pulled away and rested his head against Ben's chest feeling his heart beat through his thin shirt.

"Wanna be my boyfriend?" The smaller asked. Ben answered with a kiss. From behind them Awsten made a slightly inhuman noise. Patty had kind of forgotten he existed.

Ben wrapped his arms around Patty's waist, pulling him close. "You're my idea of perfect."
