Chapter 7

"Shit I hate sitting out here" I tell Jim.

"Hey this is your case I'm out here with you. How do you think I feel" Jim tells me all mad.

For some freaking reason I got stuck with the cheating spouse case. So for the last 4 night's I've been tailing this stupid guy. Who leads the most boring ass life ever. I don't get his wife. He goes to work. Goes to lunch, goes back to work. Goes home. When the fuck is he going to have time for screwing some one else.

"This guys a dipshit just tell her nothings going on and take a loss on the hours you put into this case." Jim tells me.

"Hell no It's been 4 nights of surveillance and 2 days of research. Hell no I'm not giving up." I continue to wait for the jerk to leave for lunch.

"Holy shit is that him over there Jim said' Pointing to the east exit.

"Yeah that's him but he always leaves through this door. Damn and check out his clothes. He went from business guy to pimp daddy." I tell Jim and we laugh as I move the car to tail him.

Ok this is a change from his routine. We follow him to the end of the block where he is picked up by a car that is waiting there. Then we follow the car and pull up the info on who the car belongs to. Hmm a Ronald Smith. I roll my eyes.

So we continue to follow them until they head for a park in LaGrange.

"Holy shit isn't this the park that's supposed to be for guy people? Asked Jim.

"How the hell am I supposed to know that?" I ask him.

We do start to notice a pattern. There are two guys sitting on the hood of a car talking. Then I see 2 guys walking hand in hand into the forest preserve. There is a car with 2 guys in it and the windows are starting to fog. Holy shit my mind is telling me to leave but crap I am on assignment.

They park and I park a ways away but I still have a clear view. We sit there pretending Like we are talking but looking at them. They get out of the car and sure enough. There was a dude in the car. He comes out and sit's on the hood and my mark goes and stands between the guys legs.

The other guys leans down and kisses my mark. Oh crap I look at Jim and his eyes get wide too. Um this was not anything like what I thought this guy was going to do.

My mark then rips the shirt open of the guy sitting on the car and starts to kiss his chest. It's like a train wreck you want to look away but you can't. In my case I'm being paid to look.

He then starts to unbuckle the other guys pants. Holy shit. "Oh man just take the pictures and let's get out of here" said Jim.

I take out the camera and snap some quickly and then we leave. "Remind me never to come with you on a stake out" Jim says.

I start to laugh. Well his poor wife is in for the shock of her life. I get to the office and type out my report while Jim goes to get the pictures printed out on the computer. Man got to love the digital cameras.

I set up a meeting with the wife in 3 and a half hours. I have time to kill so I head to the gym to work out.

When I change I head to the punching bag area where I like to let off some steam. I walk in and there's this woman there that I've seen here before. She is a little fluffy with a great rack and a nice ass. She was punching that bag like she was trying to kill it.

"Whoa little lady be careful because you are going to hurt yourself." I tell her.

She turns and glares at me "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU CARE!" she screams at me.

I hold up my white towel in a sign of surrender.

"Hey it was just because you're using the wrong form and you can hurt your hand that way." I tell her.

"Sorry I'm just letting off some steam" she says.

"What happened" I ask.

"Well I just quite my job. I was getting some papers from the bottom file drawer when my boss walked up to me and freaking ground his pecker into my ass." She says all mad.

I look at her in shock. Damn that must have been to much temptation for the guy. She does have a nice one.

"So what did you do" I ask her.

She smirked "I turned around and broke his nose." She gives me a wicked smile.

I start to laugh trying to figure out how a little thing like this can break anyone's nose. When the next thing I know I land on the ground and her Knee is on my chest.

"I'm a black belt. never underestimate the enemy" She tells me.

She gets off me and I stand up fast and start to laugh all over again. "Damn your quick for a little thing" I tell her.

She smiles at me.

"How would you like a job." I ask her.

Her smile disappears and she looks at me skeptically.

"I'm 1 of 4 owners of a PI firm and we are getting a lot of cases. We are looking for a receptionist/researcher. Looks to me like you can handle your own if you get into a sticky situation." I tell her and her eyes glow.

"Oh man are we talking about spy stuff." She asked all excited.

I laugh "hardly I just finished a cheating spouse case" I tell her.

She laughs "I would love to, where do I go and apply?" she asked.

"Forget the apply consider yourself hired. Before I leave I'll give you my card. Show up there first thing in the morning I'm talking 6am. We need our coffee as soon as we walk in. I tell her." she rolls her eyes.

"Go get me your card and I'll get a pad and pen. I need to know who works there how they take there coffee and what pastries they like. Oh man this is going to be a cool job." She starts to head off and I stop her.

"My Names Freddy by the way and you are?" I ask her

She blushes a pretty shade of red. "Amy Lu Tanner" she tells me and I shake her hand while she runs off to get a pad and pen.

Shit even a hot girl like that does nothing for me. The only woman in my head is that freaking Janet. I go check out a client in Austin in a month seems I'm going to go find her. I smirk at the thought and my little friend stirs to life.

I look down at my crotch "Ahh seems your excited at the though of seeing her also." I tell him as he stands at attention.

I give Amy Lu all the information she requested and headed back to the office after my work out and shower. When my client walked in I told her what I discovered and gave her the pictures.

I handed her the bill with an itemized account of the hours I logged in and she said she would bring a check tomorrow.

I sat back and stretched. I could not wait for the guys to meet Amy Lu.

Janet's POV

I cradled a sleeping Kate in my arms when there was a knock at my door. I walked over and opened it and in walked. Mike, Leo and Luis.

"Oh my God you had the baby and didn't call us?" Luis said sounding all wounded.

"Relax. She just didn't want to wait and I knew you would be here in 2 weeks so I didn't want you guys to make 2 trips." I tell them

Mike walked over to me and stood right in front of me. "You are not alone in this world you have us. The next time you do something like this I will kick your ass. You got that." He tells me.

I look at him stunned and Luis comes and takes the baby from my arms.

Then Leo comes and hugs me when he sees a tear slid down my face. "Oh don't cry. You know we love you like a sister. It hurts us to know that you feel you can't count on us. We should have been here with you when you had the baby.

You have been alone. You needed to rest after having her. We see what our wives went through and you where here alone. When you are not alone. We are all here for you. To help you and now this little angel.

Please don't cry because if you make me cry I'll have to kick your ass to." He tells me and that makes me laugh.

I wipe my tears away and hug them all.

"I love you guys and thank you for those kind words. It will take some getting used to but I will remember I am not alone." I tell them giving them a teary smile.

"You better fast because once your at the ranch we are going to be all up in your grill.' Luis says.

God I love these guys.

We got the little bit of stuff I had left packed at headed off to our new life in Longview. "So are you going to tell us now who the father is? Asked Mike.

"No" I looked at him. "He doesn't know about Kate. I'm not about to tell you first." I tell him.

"I'm Going to kick his ass when I find out" said Luis.

"Why are you guys so violent always wanting to beat some one up." I ask them and they all laugh.

Patrick's POV

God I've been gone for a week following up a case and I just need to sleep for 2 days at least. But I have to stop by the office and drop off all this paperwork.

I look a mess all unshaven and I've slept in my car and in these same cloths for 2 days. I open the door to the office and walk to the deck and presented before me is the most delicious ass I have ever seen. My body screams at me to grind into it. Then the woman straightens up and turns around and I'm blown away.

Holy shit it's the hot woman I see at the gym. I look down at that rack of hers and my mouth literally waters. I look up and into her eyes and the next thin I know I'm flat on my back and her knee is on my chest. Her skirt rode up and I see she has killer legs and my friend stands up at attention. Holy hell.

I'm momentarily stunned and the door opens and in walks Freddy. He looks at me then at her and smirks.

"So I see you met Amy Lu" Freddy says.

I look up at her and she's got the most adorable confused look on her face .

"Amy Lu is this your way of always introducing yourself. By the way this is Patrick one of the other bosses." he tells her.

Her face turns the most amazing shade of red I've ever seen and she looks down at me and gets up fast. I too get up and then look down at her. She smirks "it's your fault for looking at me the way you were." She tells me as she shrugs her shoulders and walks away.

I follow her retreating form as she sashes away. I feel a smack on my arm. "Damn if you looked at her the way your looking at her now I don't blame her for dropping you like that." Freddy tells me.

"Holy crap Freddy. That's the sex goddess I was telling you about from the gym. She's stared in all my dirty wet dreams for the past month." I tell him.

'No way. Oh man it's going to be fun coming to the office every day. Wait till the guys hear about this. Man I got to tell them you got dibs." Freddy tells me and I punch his arm.

Amy Lu comes back with a cup of coffee for each of us. I take a sip and oh mama. This is the best tasting thing ever. I look at Freddy who is also savoring his sip.

"What the hell did you use?" I ask her.

"Ahh only the top of the line stuff for you boys. You want to run a good business you need to carry the best product. I paid for a new espresso machine and the imported coffee beans. The receipt is on top of your desk boss." She tells Freddy looking at him.

I look at Freddy and he smirks at me. I got to get out of here. So I turn and I leave.
