Chapter 2: The Isle Of The Lost.
Hazel's POV:
I ran as quickly as possible across the rooftops of some of the buildings, my feet pounding on the slate roofing. My heart was beating in my chest, hearing Unity Hook and Sierra call out to me.
"Runt, get back here!" Unity yelled.
"No way in Tartarus!" I exclaimed, making my way back to the Wolves' side of the Isle.
I opened up a hatch in the roof of the Bargain Castle, waiting to see Unity and Sierra halt in their tracks before they left their territory.
"Unity, we can't," hissed Sierra. "Unless we want to be pelted with -"
"Ready, aim, fire!" I called out, laughing as smoke bombs rained down on the captain of the Wharf Mice and her first mate were covered with colored smoke, their clothes stained to where they looked like they were wearing tie-dye clothing.
"This isn't over, runt!" Unity shouted.
"It never is!" I replied, smirking as I slid down the hatch, locking the door behind me.
I landed on my feet in the Wolf Den, catching my breath as best I could. I made it out of that alive, and I pulled out a small trinket I'd snuck from the market, tossing it to one of the under-fifteens. "Here you are, kiddo," I said to them.
"Thanks!" the Wolf Pup said, catching the trinket.
"Anytime!" I responded, jogging up the stairs to my papa's war council room. I loved my Papa! He might have been evil to Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle, but I was sure they could push away their difference and forgive each other.
***
When I got there, Papa was sitting at his desk, his chin cupped in his hand. He looked deep in thought. My friends Hubert and Genevieve were also there. Both smiled at me.
"Managed to escape them again, Hazel?" Genivieve asked, high-fiving me.
I nodded. "Wasn't that hard. Once I touch our territory, they can't get me."
Papa looked up at that point. "They do need to stop!" He sighed.
"But they won't," Hubert spoke up. "It's Unity and Sierra we are talking about here!"
I nodded. Hubert was always to the point.
"You seem a bit distracted, Hazel!" Papa noticed. "Like deep in thought.
"It's nothing," I lied. "I'm going to my room!"
They all nnodded. But my friends both frowned at me. It was kind of comical.
***
Later, I was lying down, staring up. I was daydreaming about a purple headed girl with glasses. It reminded me of the current queen of Auradon. Was I dreaming of Mal's daughter?
"Earth to Hazel?" Came Genivieve's voice. "I and Hubert have been trying to talk to you!"
I shook myself awake. "Okay okay," I said.
"You look deep in a daydream," said Genivieve. "What's going on?"
"Do you guys get weird dreams?" I asked. "Like do people come into your dreams?"
"I keep dreaming of a red headed girl!" Said Hubert. "Not sure of his name. But might be related to Anna of Arendelle."
"Funny," said Genivie. "I'm dreaming of a blond that looks like Queen Elsa of Arendelle."
"Oh, really?" I asked. "That's cute! I guess!"
"We know your Papa and the sisters didn't get along," said Hubert, "But can people make up?"
"I guess," I said, smiling.
"So, who is your dream?" Genivieve asked.
"Er ... it's the daughter of Mal!" I admitted.
The two of them stared at me.
"What?" I questioned them.
"The princess of Auradon?" Hubert asked.
I nodded.
"Wouldn't it be great if we get invited to Auradon Prep?" I asked.
The two of them stared at me.
"Wouldn't it?" I repeated. "It would be freedom from those idiots!"
"It would," said Genivieve. "Right, Hubert?"
Hubert nodded, but shrugged at the same time. I didn't get why!
