"they found a heartbeat in chan" felix looks at him.

"yeah, dr. kim said he'll call me when they have an update"

"so could he actually be okay?"

"maybe... I want him to be okay... I really do"

then felix's phone rings again, and it's the same number.

"hello?"

"felix... he's alive"

"what!?"

"his eyes opened, he's weak but he's alive... but we're gonna make him"

"so... can we come to the hospital!?"

"sure"

"okay thank you doctor we'll be there" he hangs up and he smiles again.

"chan's alive! come on!" felix runs out to his car and he quickly gets in the car to start it up.

"when we touched him, he felt slightly warm, so we checked his heartbeat and pulse.... and we found it responsive" dr. kim says.

"can we see him?" jaegyu asks.

"sure, but only two people at a time since he's still weak" they nod.

"felix and hyunjin you go first" jaegyu looks at them, they nod and they follow dr. kim to chan's hospital room.

when they enter, felix is the first to sit down in a chair next to his bed.

he holds his hand and patiently waits for chan to open his eyes.

"f-felix... h-hyunjin..." chan looks at them and smiles softly when he sees his husband and his best friend together.

"yes it's us" felix smiles and caresses his cheek.

"lixie... I-I'm sorry... for... for... leaving you..." chan says.

"I told you to not apologize you stupid" they both exchange smiles and hyunjin leans his arm on felix's shoulder.

"how are you feeling?"

"are... are you two... getting along?"

"we are" felix says. "he told me how you guys met... I wish you would've told me"

"you... you never let me" felix chuckles. "and... I feel great... because I'm here... with you two..."

"wait a minute" felix looks at hyunjin.

"do you think that us becoming friends brought chan back?" hyunjin shrugs.

"who knows"

"where's... dad?"

"he's out in the waiting room" felix says.

"can you... get him? I want... to see... you three... together..." felix nods.

"I'll get him" hyunjin gets up and leaves the room to go get jaegyu.

"lixie..." he holds his hand. "I'm so happy"

"good, because all you deserve is happiness" felix smiles.

"I'm happy... because you're happy. you've had it so rough... with your parents death... and your brother leaving... you're finally happy... and that's all I ever wanted from you"

"it's all because of you chan" they exchange smiles and jaegyu walks in with hyunjin behind him.

"dad..."

"hi chan..."

"I'm sorry for leaving you alone..."

"don't apologize... you have nothing to be sorry for. I still have my other son" he looks at felix.

"you think of me as your son?" jaegyu nods.

felix hugs him and he smiles.

"I never thought I would hear anyone say that again" felix says.

"stop it y'all are gonna make me cry" hyunjin says and they all laugh.
