CHAPTER TWO

Usually I would be finishing my chores in about an hour, but the only thing I had done so far was cleaning the living room.

The room was a bit smaller than you think as some books on the shelves were pretty dusty for not reading it in a period of time as it could be seen by some dusts on it.

"I will be heading at the PokéMart soon," She reminded while writing down some stuff in her notepad, maybe some supplies that she needed to restock, "make sure that when I get back at night, this room must be cleaned, got it?"

I was in the kitchen sweeping the floor with a broomstick, clearly in thought about the hallucination that I got ago in the bathroom.

'Maybe it was a big deal, what if I have some third eye?' I thought while sweeping the dirt to the side of our smaller kitchen.

"Harry?"

'Or maybe have some ability to see the future?'

"Harry? Did you hear me?"

'Now those are just jokes, it can literally be in a kid's book.'

"Harry!" My mother, louder this time with a stern look on her face and annoyed that her son wasn't even listening to her.

Hearing my mother's voice brought me back to reality and I hastily grabbed my broom when I was about to let it go. "Y-Yes mother?" Looking at her with a nervous smile.

I saw her sighing a bit and I felt bad a bit for not listening to her. She only has me now, so of course I needed to do everything what it takes to keep on living.

She leaned back and took a deep breathe as if recollecting all of her thoughts back to her head. She opened her eyes and stared at me with sympathy. "I'm not getting any younger, Harry, but please don't push yourself too hard for me. I only wanted what's best for you."

I knew she would say that.

Putting the broom away, I slowly walked towards her and put an hand on her shoulder, which she gladly put her hand on mine. "And I'm here doing what I can to keep you alright during your work."

She hummed in agreement with this. "I'm sure you are. Not like you are my little boy anymore." She seemingly giggled before she got a text from her Holo Caster.

"Must be work," she said as she checked the message that was sent before looking up at me, "I should be going, alright! Remember, clean the room and stay safe."

I nodded at her as I watched her grabbing all the stuff she needed before kissing me on the cheek.

"Alright, I will be back in like midnight and you don't need to wait for me." She reminded as she walked out of the door with a wave. "Bye."

"Goodbye to you too." I chuckled as I followed her to the door in order to close it. I gave her a wave when she got inside the elevator and I closed the door completely.

'I love my mother so much.' I chuckled at the thought before going back to reshaping our room.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot that we live in a apartment and most of the people here are kind enough to accept us as one of their own. Ironic that I somehow got to a apartment with my mother when I totally said something about not living here.

Why do you have to be like that to me, Life?

Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay here and we are happy to have great companies inside the apartment. Pokemons would sometimes visit us for a hangout and we would gladly accept them.

I am currently working on cleaning the shelves as they were a total reck. It's funny how everything just came so fast and now they are in a better life than our old one.

'Get to the good side, Harry, get to the good side.' I internally scolded myself for thinking 'it' but it would never go away.

I opened the window of our apartment and looked outside, seeing many Flying-Type pokemon soaring through the city was a rare view for those who do not live in a building because it was breathtaking to see one close. Many Flying-Type pokemon were also coming by to my window to have some bread crumbs that I usually give them.

"Fletch! Fletchling!"

I looked back saw a group of Fletchlings hopping around the window happily as they chirped at me for bread crumbs. They weren't very hostile to me as I did gave them bread crumbs as an exchange for not taking my life.

"It's the...let's see here...24th time you guys came here in my apartment!" I groaned though I couldn't help myself as a small smile escape from my defenses. "Can't you guys just find food for your own?" I asked while heading over to the cabinets to get some bread for them.

"Fletchling!" One had chirped with a happy smile as it hopped inside apartment, as if they had grown a liking to this place.

I chuckled and placed a couple of breads on the table as I watched them fly inside and started to overwhelm the table. "You guys really need to learn on how to control your diet."

Grinning at them though seeing they weren't listening to me, I just leaned back and took a deep sigh. Now I have nothing to do after this, mostly because I had finished my chores.

I saw one Fletchling bringing over something and it made my eyes widened a bit as grabbed my mother's notepad. She totally forgot to bring her notepad at all times? There was no arguing as it can worry her much, so I grabbed my stuff and quickly head towards the door. "Enjoy your food, guys!" I waved before running off.

I got out of the room and headed downstairs because taking the elevator would be too long. Hopping off for a shortcut and running through the hallways, I don't know what would happen to me but I can just say that I need to take some notes for this later.

'Ba Dum Tsss!' I chuckled to my very bad joke as I took a left in the dark hallways and towards the exit.

I quickly said my greetings to our kind waiter that always serves us with great attitude that I like before opening the door and find my way to the PokéMart where my mother would be.
