Jaune stood staring at his partner, to whom he had just shared his greatest secret to. The redhead stared at her partner, in almost disbelief.

Pyhhra: your joking

Jaune shook his head, his mind racing a thousand miles per hour. What would she say? She could slap him and move on, she could attack him with fury. She could go tell everyone, and he could become an outcast.

But what she did, was far worse then all the other scenarios. She just started at him, with a mix of disgust and disbelief in her eyes, and turned her back on him. Not saying a word, she left him on cold beacon rooftop.

Jaune slumped against the wall, and put his head in his hands. The wind roared in his ears, as he began to shake.

He had put all his hope in his partner, and she had taken that hope and crushed it infront of his eyes. He felt alone, and cold. His shaking grew faster and faster, what could he do?

Nothing

Absolutely nothing

He stood shakily, his mind still racing, coming up with thousands of scenarios. She could be waiting for you by the door, she could be waiting with the rest of your team. She could just have gone to sleep.

Jaunes thoughts got worse and worse, maybe she's going to kill you?

No! Pyyhra would never!

You did lie to her, lied to them all

But pyhrra is a reasonable person! She wouldn't take it that far

But she could, in anger people do unreasonable things

Jaunes internal conflict was interrupted by a loud thump and clapping, he turned to see his tormenter, Cardin Winchester. Jaunes eyes darted around, looking for an easy escape.

The door

Pyyhra could be there, and if Cardin heard he could tell others if we went that way

The balcony, Cardin had to have gotten up here somehow.

It's most likely his teams balcony, team CRDL won't let you get out. Your not fast enough to outrun all of them

The roof, we could jump off and catch ourself

Now we're really getting desperate if we even considered that.

There's no way out

Cardins smug smile grew larger as he saw jaunes eyes look more and more hopeless

He's right, there isn't, it's best to listen to what he has to say

Cardin paised back and forth, taunting Jaune

Like a hunter stalking his prey

Cardin: I knew you were pathetic, but not this pathetic

If he knows he could tell, it's best not to anger him

Cardin: faking transcripts, Really? How far can you fall?

Cardin stepped up to Jaune, poking him

Cardin: it would be a shame if everyone were to find out, wouldn't it?

He's gonna tell

No, he won't, that's not what he wants

He wants you to suffer, he's going to do something. It's leverage

Cardin: of course, I can be persuaded not to let this information slip, but I'm going to need something from you.

Oh god

I told you, it's leverage, he's gonna blackmail us

Cardin: you know, I don't really feel like doing my history homework. You will do it for me, won't you bud?

Ok, that's not too bad

Cardin; and I need about 20 hornets in a box, you can get that for me right pal?

20 hornets? That's just weird

Cardin: and it would be a real shame if you just accidentally dropped them in your teams dorm, wouldn't it be?

Jaunes eyes widened in fear

So that's why he wanted them

He's gonna turn our team against us, if pyhhra hasn't already

We just have to hope that she doesn't, but what can we do against Cardin?

Agree for now, we have a plan

Jaune nodded And Cardin smiled

Cardin: good, now get on it, I'll be watching

He climbs back into his dorm, as Jaune watched him do it

Jaune stood up and ran down the stairs towards his dorm, ignoring the glances he got from students returning from dinner. He passed by team rwby, who took notice of his distressed state, ruby grabbed his arm as he ran by

Ruby: Jaune? Are you alright?

She doesn't know

Not yet, they were at dinner, they could be about to find out

He ripped his hand from Ruby's grasp and kept running, not looking back for a second. Ruby's silver eyes looked dull, she was hurt, not physically but emotionally. For her, she thought she did something wrong, and yang took notice of that.

Yang: oh he is so dead! Next time we see him I'm gonna beat him to a pulp!

Blake rolled her eyes and walked into their dorm, followed by Weiss and ruby, who's head in held down in sadness.

Jaunes hand hovered over the knob of the team JNPR dorm. He wasent sure if he opened the door, if he would be met with the disappointed or the normal gazes they gave him.

Do I do it?

What do we really need in there? Our sword? We don't even know how to use it.

Clothes and food?

We wear the same things everyday, and we don't keep food in the dorms

Jaune took one last look at his dorm, before deciding to just leave, but he croaked out one last thing.

Jaune: goodbye

Jaune ran down the hallway, running past all the familiar sights he had seen everyday since he arrived at beacon. Team rwby's dorm, the combat room-

Had some great naps in there

As he finally exited the school, he took one last look at the giant castle that is beacon. The place he always dreamed of going since he was a kid, and now he was leaving it forever.

Where to now?

The emerald forest, we need to get away from everything and everyone.

Jaune walked towards the side of beacon, towards the edge of the emerald forest. As he arrived, he reached the first problem, beacon and the emerald forest were separated by a giant cliff.

How do we get down last time?

The launch pads, where Ozpin gave his speech.

Jaune made his way towards where this whole mess started, where Ozpin had launched them from the cliff. As he arrived, he stood on the slightly misshapen grass. He stepped on it and was launched into the forest, landing in some branches with his aura bracing his fall.

Now where?

Father in, they can find us here

Jaune wandered father made farther into the emerald forest, and as he did the sounds of Grimm grew louder and louder.

We aren't safe here

We can't turn back now

Jaunes pace began to quicken as the sounds of Grimm grew louder and Louder, until a small back of Beowulf's seemed to catch his scent and began to follow behind him. Jaunes jog turns into a sprint until he reaches a strange structure. It's a frame made of a glowing stone like object.

Jaune: What the hell?

Before he can study it any further a Beowulf jumps at him, as his aura actives he closes his eyes

This is the end

We're not dead yet

Jaune opens his eyes to see no Beowulf, and a glowing blue center to the portal now in view

Do I go in?

No better choice

He cautiously stepped in, only for the portal to suck him in, taking him to a new world.
