Can I rant for a little?

So, I'm so freaking sick and tired of my mom treating animals like they're some kind of toys. She bought me a puppy for my birthday four years ago and my brother kept abusing it and I hit my brother for dragging my dog around so my mom decided that we don't need a dog anymore. She threw her out so she's now outside and winters here are pretty damn cold. 

We got a cat half a year ago but she decided to throw the cat away because my brother was "allergic" (even though it was from the soap)
Now, my mom wants to get another dog.  You know those small rat looking ones that shiver all the time? And you know who's gonna be taking care of it? Me. She's gonna get tired of it after two months too. She said that she's gonna give my cat away and called me names because I cried. Fuck, yeah I cried. I love my cat. I have emotions. I love my cat more than I love my family tbh. Ruby is from the animal shelter and she's afraid of everyone, except me. She was homeless and the owner who had her before abused her. Now, when she got used to us, my mom wants to throw her out again. 

Sorry for ranting. Ily you all sm and I hope your pets are all happy and chubby and sleep all day. 

Tyler gently rubbed circles on Josh's back as the man clung onto him with his bloody arms. The boy glanced at the dead animal on the sand and sighed. Tyler cringed from the feeling of Josh's hand smearing warm blood all over his back as Josh desperately tried to grip something to calm down. Josh sniffled quietly, his broad shoulders were shaking. Tyler didn't know why Josh was crying or what exactly happened so the boy didn't know how to comfort the crying man.

"Josh? " Tyler said softly "Josh, what happened?"

Josh murmured something incoherently and continued sobbing.

"Josh, I can't hear you. " Tyler ran his fingers over Josh's hair

Josh inhaled deeply and lifted his head up. Tyler could not stare at the blood on the man's face, it was unsettling.

"Hu-hungry. " Josh sobbed

Tyler moved a strand of hair away from Josh's eyes. The man rubbed his eyes and Tyler had to grab his hands to stop the mam from smearing any more blood on his face. Tyler let out a sigh, he really didn't know what to do. Josh sat with his head hung low trying to hide his face. Josh had his hands on his bloody lap fiddling with his thumbs nervously.

"Josh, why were you crying? " Tyler asked softly

Josh sniffled and shrugged his shoulders.

"S-small..." Josh's voice trembled "V-very small. "

"Josh, you were just hungry, that's it. " Tyler cooed "It's okay, you were just hungry, you had to eat. "

"It d-d-died. "

"That's life, Josh. " Tyler tried to smile

The merman shook his head, tears started spilling from his eyes again.

"J-Josh bad like h-hu-man. " the man sobbed "Kill and eat. "

Tyler glanced at the dead seal again. Its throat had been ripped out. Tyler felt the stench of blood coming off of Josh.

"Why don't you just eat fish? " Tyler asked

"F-fish alive t-too. " Josh sniffled "All f-food alive.  "

"No, it's not, Josh. You can eat fruit.  "

Josh lifted his head up.

"F-fruit like hu-man do? "

"Yes. "

Josh started sobbing again.

"N-no fruit in water. No fruit in ocean.  "

Tyler scooped some water in his palm and rubbed Josh's blood stained cheeks to clean them. Josh pressed his dense lashed together as the boy cleaned his face. Josh started purring again as Tyler washed the blood off of the man's body. Tyler was done washing Josh and started washing himself. Josh had smeared blood all over his bare chest and back. Josh sat with his head hung low. Tyler gently caressed the man's shoulder. 

"Are you still hungry?"

Josh nodded

"I can get you fruit." 

Josh quickly lifted his head up.

"Now?"

"Mhm." Tyler nodded "Wait here."

"No, now, fruit now." Josh clung onto Tyler's leg "Or I eat seal." 

"Josh, I have to go back to get your fruit." Tyler frowned and tried to shake Josh off but  the man kept holding onto his leg and crying

"No! No!" Josh cried "Take me to fruit!"

"Josh, how the hell am I supposed to take you?" Tyler rubbed his temples "You don't have legs! You can't walk."

"Carry Josh." The man started climbing onto Tyler "Human strong. Carry Josh." 

Tyler let out a strangled noise as Josh wrapped his arms around his neck and wrapped his body around him. Tyler swayed to the sides trying to regain his balance but he ended up on the sand anyway. Josh slithered onto Tyler and wrapped his arms around Tyler once again. Tyler flailed his arms and legs around trying to get up but Josh was a grown merman who weighted probably more than the boy.

"Josh, I can't take you." Tyler muttered as he was being suffocated by Josh's weight "You're too heavy."

"Carry Josh." The man pouted "I carry Tyler in water."

"Josh, I'm not as strong as you." Tyler threw his head back in the sand

"Carry Josh." Josh was like a stubborn child "Carry now." 

Tyler let out a defeated sigh and smacked his hands on the sand. Josh wasn't moving. He laid on Tyler and breathed heavily on his neck. Josh smiled as he stared Tyler into his eyes and waited to be picked up. Tyler sighed again.

"Get off of me so I can pick you up." Tyler murmured

Josh let out a squeal and slid off Tyler. The boy quickly jumped up and backed away from the man's reach. Tyler saw the defeat and betrayal flash in Josh's mismatched eyes. Tyler quickly dusted off his swimming shirts and looked at Josh who was staring at him and pouting. His eyes coated with tears and his bottom lip quivered gently. Tyler's eyebrows curved upwards seeing Josh's sad facial expression. It made his heart melt instantly. Tyler shook his head and let out a soft chuckle because the boy knew that one way or another Josh is gonna get what he wants. With a face (and body) like that it was hard to resist. 

"Trai-t-tor." Josh stuttered and sniffled 

"I'm gonna get a  wheelbarrow. " Tyler said 

"What is wh-wheel-b-barrow?" Josh tilted his head to the side with a curious look on his face

"It's a device that'll help me to carry you." Tyler turned to leave

"Carry now!" Josh collected all of his strength to push forward

The merman extended his arm and grabbed onto Tyler. The boy jumped back but Josh's fingertips got a grip on the boy's shorts. Tyler's cheeks heated up as his shorts were yanked down to his ankles. Josh plopped face down onto the sand with his fingers still gripping the fabric

"I got human." Josh mumble against the sand before tilting his head up

Josh eyed Tyler curiously. He tilted his head to the side to look at it more carefully. Tyler was about to explode from embarrassment at any moment. He bent down to pull his shorts up but the merman still had a grip on them. 

"C-can I..." Tyler tried to pull up his shorts "C-can you l-let g-go of m-my shorts?"

"I have one too." Josh murmured 

"You have wh- oh." Tyler blushed deeper "Let go of my shorts, Josh. Pease."

"Weird looking." Josh lifted his head up to look Tyler in the eyes "Like water snake." 

Tyler nodded and managed to pull his shorts up when Josh finally let go of the fabric. Tyler cleared his throat. 

"I'm gonna go..." Tyler smiled awkwardly trying to ignore the fact that he just got undressed on accident "I'll be back in a few minutes."

"I can show mine." Josh sat up

"No!" Tyler shielded his eyes "Oh, god, please no!"

Josh shrugged his shoulders and slid back into the water. Tyler stared at him with a blank expression for a moment before turning around.

"Stay here." Tyler mumbled and grabbed the dead seal "Don't go anywhere."
