Here is a glossary of terms for people who have not studied Japanese and Japan's Culture.

Arigato Gozaimasu - Directly translates to "Thank you so much"
Bento - A Japanese lunch box basically
-Chan - An honorific used to portray a sense of endearment
Currency: US Dollars were used in the story instead of Yen to eliminate confusion.
Gomen - Directly translated to "sorry"
Gomennasai - Directly translated to "I'm sorry"
Homeroom - Takes place every morning and lasts about 30 minutes
Honorific - A suffix added to the end of a name to symbolize a certain relationship
Modern Japanese (Class) - An equivalent to our English classes
Sensei - Directly translated to "teacher"
