Savior Forsaken

The people were pleading

For an angel's protection.

The Lord sent him,

But he was met with rejection.

He spoke of peace,

But they heard threats.

The people saw black

And immediately thought "death."

They forced him to the outskirts,

Chained him there with hate.

He spread his wings in final hope

To save humanity from its fate.

The city began to freeze

Due to ice in the human heart.

They sent away their savior

Because he didn't look the part.
