Revival (EricCruisoe)

REVIVAL

Loudly did the Earth rumble

As I snuggled closer to the tree

For my house was full of perils

And havoc had set free

Fate rolled its dice

I, a mere pawn of its play

The shadows laughed at me

For my future, as strong as wet clay

Gusty winds made the windows shatter

Overhead, heaven started to weep

Mighty thunder struck the abode of chaos

And my house crumbled to a trivial heap

I watched as his cold smile turned to a sneer

For in that mayhem, to ashes turned I

But the wreck served home to my revival

And in that moment, the devil turned wry
