Stained black by a plague of misconceptions

Erupting from a disturbance found within

Yet the sky remains blue, a sign of peace

As the poison spreads, an evil will begin

Shredded wings unable to chase dreams

Found beyond stars, a feat deemed foolish

Yet the grass remains green, full of flowers

As our actions turn dark and ghoulish

Masked faces without a true distinction

Merely shadows meant to be exact clones

Yet our cities still grow, a sign of progress

As truth and kindness crumble with stones

Colorless eyes neglect beauty and sunlight

As they are obstacles to our selfish vanity

Silence is the only winner in this world
