Dream maker

As I rose above their city

I could see the fear in their eyes

they all knew what was coming

but a girl took me by surprise.

She did not fear me

she had a smile on her face

I think deep down she knew

I was going to make this a safer place.

I opened up my wings

and pulled her to my side

she kissed me on the cheek

and we watched the world die.

She thanked me for my help

but what else could I do

I'm here to make sure

all children's dream come true.
