Chapter Fifty-One: Testament

Mio's POV:

I traced the wooden desk with my gloves as I looked over the building floor plans of the audition center, "so, I was thinking we just take out the interview staff and take the auditioners hostage if that isn't instant rehabilitation or appreciation for what you have I don't know what is~" Ayoko teased smiling, her light turquoise hair was up in her messy twin buns framing her face.

"Must it be during audition days?" I asked, "I would rather leave the people auditioning unharmed, it's the people in charge that we're meant to exterminate don't you remember?" I scolded.

"AWW MIO CHAN! Must you always be so boring?" Ayako asked leaning back in her chair, her feet moving to the desk, "every time you do something cool you immediately ruin it with that self-righteous attitude" she pouted childlike.

"It's not about being righteous, it's about who is responsible for the pain and suffering we have endured. They may be the consumers that allowed this show to grow, but other actions can convince them to fold. There is no need to attack them" I explained.

Ayako frowned, she was once again wearing her giant narwhal onesie, childlike clothing, despite her being only a year younger than me and hogging to herself a large bowl of assorted sweets.

"I'm just saying, we should hurry up on this. Unless you're fine with the world calling you the next Enoshima" Ayako advised, I felt the tension growing inside of me as I sighed, "it doesn't matter...I don't care if I need to be the next Junko Enoshima if that's what ensures that those games end and never return" I declared.

"Wow such a formal declaration from our fabulous leader as always, aww you're so cool Mio chan!" Ayako praised as she stood up, her bare feet meeting the cold cement as she stretched, "well...if you won't take my plan, then I guess I'll have to have my fun with just those filthy scum" she noted.

I sighed, "do what you must, just don't allow yourself to be captured by the police. It would be a pain coming to retrieve you" I complained, Ayako just looked at me with her deadpanned golden eyes, "aww, I feel so loved" she responded sarcastically before a sadistic smile returned to her face.

"But you know...for all that talk you make about wanting to save all the participants of Danganronpa..." she trailed on as she reached the door, I froze "that wasn't what you did when it came to Chiharu san though~" she reminded.

I clenched my teeth and tried to control my anger, "go, you're testing my nerves Ayako" I hissed. She continued to smile though as if she had won something, "such a hypocrite as always~" as she left the room.

I paused as I glanced at the small photo on my desk, a familiar face smiled back at me as my heart pounded in my chest, and the hot malice once again reminded me of my purpose. Of our group's purpose.

"I always was."
