In case you forgot, today is the 1 year anniversary of Iz*one's official disbandment, so I decided to write this. 

"Chaeyeon?" 

Chaeyeon spun around to see who had called her name, and when she did, her eyes widened. "Minju?"

The two girls stood awkwardly for a second "Well, long time no see, huh?"

"Definitely"

Chaeyeon's eyes drifted toward the stage, where Lesserafim was performing. She just couldn't help looking every time it was Sakura's part.

Without realizing, she said out loud "I miss what we had"

She glanced back at Minju, who, despite the fact that it was Sakura's part, was staring at Chaewon.  "Me too"

And for the first time in a while, Chaeyeon thought about Eunbi, and Hyewon, and Yena, and Nako, and Hitomi, and Yuri, and Yujin, and Wonyoung. She felt a sudden longing. And out of that longing sparked an idea.

"Minju... what if we had a reunion?"

"But Yujin and Wonyoung are in Ive and Y-"

"Not permanently. That would be too much to ask for. But just temporarily. For a day. Have a vlive and maybe perform a song or two. For wiz*one's"

"How could we arrange that???"

"Just get in touch with the companies, and make sure that they tease the reunion online" Chaeyeon said as if she had been planning for months "But make sure the members don't know. Better content that way. Plus, the look on their faces will be priceless"

Minju grinned "But Nako and Hitomi are in Japan. We can't just pull them from there for no reason" 

Chaeyeon pursed her lips "Fine, they can know. But for the others, it's a secret"

"And you're sure we can pull this off?" 

"We have to try"

Minju nodded in acceptance. "You said something about a performance? What should we do for that?"

Chaeyeon  bit her lips. Lesserafim was long done performing, and another group was onstage, but neither Chaeyeon nor Minju noticed. They were lost in their own world.

"I was thinking something that's not too predictable... like, if we perform... say... Panorama, it will get the job done, but fans are going to know what's going to happen next... but we can't perform something that isn't Iz*one"

"Ayayaya?"

Chaeyeon stared in wonder. "Kim Minju, you are a genius!"

"That's a first" Minju muttered under her breath.

"Didn't our producers hint at an OT12 version once?"

"Yeah, but they only showed us the positions for that one move..."

"It's fine, I know our members voices, I'll just make my own distribution and positions"

"But when are we going to learn the dance without the members picking up?"

"Wonyoung is a fast learner, Hitomi will know in advance, and she'll be with Nako, who already knows it, and I'm 99% sure Yena spied on us the entire time we were learning the choreography"

"And the positions?"

"You, me, Nako, and Hitomi will learn in advance, and if we give the members an hour, they'll be able to get it done"

"You're that confident?"

"Yup."

"Okay. I handle notifying companies and finding a day, and you focus on the performance?"

"Sounds great"

And the two girls went their separate ways.

It was just a normal day for Nako when her phone rang with a text from Minju.

Hi Nako! This is going to sound weird, but me and Chaeyeon are planning for an Iz*one reunion! We are going to spend time together then put on an ot12 performance of ayayaya. Your lines and positions will be sent to you in due time. If you could, could you teach the choreography to Hitomi? She is the only other one who has been notified, so please keep the secret? Ask your producers for a list of convenient times for you to come to Korea. Thank you!

Nako didn't know what to think. It had to be a prank...

Her phone buzzed again

A few weeks later, Chaeyeon and Minju met up again.

"Do we have a date?"

Minju was grinning from ear to ear. "Yup. It's a tiny bit far off, but I couldn't resist"

Chaeyeon raised an eyebrow in confusion

"October 29th"

Chaeyeon nodded "Perfect"

"And you have everything for the performance?"

Chaeyeon nodded and turned on her computer, showing Minju her video of positions. 

"I booked a room where we can project the video on the floor do we can move around it. Wanna check it out?"

Minju nodded, so they practiced the positions. After a few tries, their dance was the way it should be. Minju booked the room for October 29th, and they were on their way.

In Ive's dorm, Wonyoung and Yujin received a letter.

You, Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin of Ive, are invited to a meeting of kpop idols, on October 29th, to represent IVE. Address listed below.

The two found the note slightly fishy, so they checked with their manager, who confirmed the event was real.

Leeseo wondered why only the two of them had gotten invited, but she shrugged it off. Since Yujin and Wonyoung  were members of Iz*one, they were the representatives of Ive pretty often.

Gaeul, however, being the eldest, figured it out immediately. The date was just too perfect to be a coincidence. 

She probably should have biased Yujin or Wonyoung in Iz*one,  and she was definitely rooting for them throughout Produce 48, but her bias is Chaewon. 

"Say hi to the Fairy for me, won't you?" She said with a mysterious smile. 

Yujin looked at her, confused "How do you know more about this event then we do?"

At Gaeul's words, Liz's eyed went wide with understanding. She had to put in a great amount of effort not to burst out laughing. 

"I'm just well educated like that." Gaeul answered, trying to distract Yujin and Wonyoung from the fact that Liz was hurriedly whispering to Rei.

"Why are you being suspicious?" Wonyoung asked.

Out of nowhere, Leeseo giggled. 

Yujin and Wonyoung whipped around to her.

Rei darted back to her spot, after explaining to Leeseo what Liz explained to her.

Leeseo hid it well, saying  "Sorry, that question was just so random" She giggled again.

Yujin eyed her members "I'm the leader, and you guys aren't telling us something! Just tell us!"

"I don't know what you're talking about" Gaeul said innocently.

Yujin sighed with impatience, and she and Wonyoung left the room.

The moment the door shut, all four members burst out laughing.

"They're...gonna...have...no idea... what hit them" Rei said between laughs.

"It's gonna be amazing" Liz agreed, laughing hard.

Their manager explained the details of the event. 

"We're definitely watching it, right?" Leeseo asked.

"Obviously"

Every other member got a note like that. Sakura and Chaewon got a note saying they were coming to represent Lesserafim, and the Eunbi, Hyewon, Yena, and Yuri got notes saying they were representing soloist - but at the last minute, Minju got a bit skeptical and changed Hyewon's to "Soloist and actress". And as the days ticked on, Minju and Chaeyeon could barely contain their excitement. Nako and Hitomi were booking flights to Korea, and the companies were slowly teasing the reunion.

The Lesserafim Official Channel posted a video of Sakura's lines in Iz*one performances, and a day later, Chaewon got her own compilation.

Both ended with a screen that said "Iz*one coming 10.29." The reaction was enormous - fans didn't really know what was happening, but they were excited to see Iz*one back together. About a week after that, Starship posted a much simpler video, of some of Wonyoung and Yujin's photos hoots, both from Iz*one and from Ive. The music of Panorama played quietly in the background. The end of the video gave more detail than Hybe's, stating that there would be a reunion and one performance for one day. Wiz*one's were ecstatic. 

Chaeyeon had no idea how none of the chatter had reached her former members, but she hoped that her surprise wouldn't be ruined. 

When Nako and Hitomi arrived in Korea, they tried to keep it as quiet as possible, and it didn't go viral, so it worked, Chaeyeon assumed. And soon, October 29th was ready.

Minju and Chaeyeon had worked out the order and sent different times on all of the invites to make sure they wouldn't run into each other on the way - Nako and Hitomi would get there early - Eunbi would come first after the 4 were ready, then Hyewon, then Yena, then Yuri, then Chaewon and Sakura, and finally Wonyoung and Yujin.

Minju and Chaeyeon waited anxiously in the room. Hitomi and Nako opened the door, and the four had their introductions before anxiously waiting. 

"We should turn the lights off" Nako suggested. "More surprising that way"

That sounded like a good idea, so they carefully turned off the lights and waited for Eunbi to arrive.

Eunbi carefully walked into the building. 

"Where would I happen to find The Meeting Of Kpop Idols?" It sounded ridiculous every time, but Eunbi had asked, and it had been confirmed, so there wasn't really much more she could do about it if it sounded ridiculous.

"Room 12" The staff had been told about what Iz*one were planning to do, and knew for anyone who was planning to ask.

Eunbi nodded and headed to the room. 

When she looked in, the room was dark.

Am I really the first one here? She thought. Maybe she had read the invitation wrong and she was early? She looked down at her invite. Nope, right on time...

Is this some kind of prank? Eunbi wondered. 

The company had confirmed it, though! How could it be a prank?

Eunbi felt around the wall until she found the light switch, and she flicked it on.

Immediately, she saw legs under the table. 

How did I not notice that before? Eunbi asked herself. She ducked down, to see the people that were hiding. 

"Chaeyeon? Minju? Nako? Hitomi? When did you guys come to Korea? And why are you..."

Eunbi looked at her invitation, then at the 4 girls in front of her.

October 29th.

The same day that Iz*one debuted.

"This is a reunion, isn't it?"

They nodded.

"Now turn the lights back off and hide under the table before Hyewon comes!" Nako exclaimed.

"Hyewon is coming?" Hyewon was one of Eunbi's closest friends in the group, and they hadn't met in person in so long...

"Yes, Hyewon is coming, and so is Sakura, and Yena, and Chaewon, and Yuri, and Yujin, and Wonyoung, would you like a review of the members of our group?" Hitomi said sarcastically. "Now turn the lights off and hide! Quick!"

Eunbi sighed at the mischievousness of her former members, and reluctantly turned the lights back up and hid under the table.

"We should pop up when they turn on the lights on" Chaeyeon suggested. "It's going to be boring if they had to crouch down every time"

"Sounds good" Minju said. 

The second silence filled the room after Minju's response, the door opened again.

"Nobody's here..." Hyewon muttered "Weird..." She turned on the lights. 

The 5 girls popped up.

They were going for a synchronized thing, but all of them said something different. 

Minju said "Hi! Long time no see!"

Nako said "Boo!"

Chaeyeon said "Happy Iz*one day!"

Eunbi said "How's it going?"

Hitomi said "Are you confused? That's okay, we'll explain"

Hyewon stared at them, confused. "What?"

"It's an Iz*one reunion" Nako explained. 

Hyewon's jaw dropped "Really??" 

"Yup! We're hiding and turning the lights off to surprise everyone else - they're coming soon"

Hyewon nodded. "Under the table, right?"

They nodded, turned the lights back off and hid under the table again. 

"We need to figure out something to say" Hitomi complained "We all said different things"

"How about our introduction?" Hyewon suggested "Eyes on us, hi, we are Iz*one"

"Perfect" Chaeyeon said.

"Can we still do that in sync? It's been so long..." Minju worried.

"Let's practice" 

They nodded

"3..2.." Chaeyeon counted.

"Eyes on us! Hi, we are Iz*one"

They said it in perfect sync.

"Well, I guess that's good to go"

"Now let's be quiet, Yena is probably coming soon"

After a few minutes of anxious waiting, the door opened once more.

The 6 girls popped up "Eyes on us! Hi, we are Iz*one!"

Yena stared "You guys also got invited to the meeting?"

"About that... the meeting is fake" Eunbi said matter-of-factly.

"They why are you guys here? What do you want from me?"

"We're temporarily reuniting" Hyewon explained as if it happened every day.

"We're hiding under the table to surprise our members. You included"

"Oooh, fun!" Yena said. She eagerly went to hide under the table. 

"Who's coming next?" Eunbi asked"

"Yuri" Minju and Chaeyeon answered at the exact same time.

"Ooh, we get to prank Yuri!" Yena said, even more excited.

"Will she be able to fit under here with everyone else...?" Questioned Hyewon. The table was only so big. 

"We'll just stand up after that. The next two are groups anyway" 

"Just say the same thing we said to you, okay?" Chaeyeon whispered to Yena. Yena gave her a thumbs up.

After a few minutes, the door opened again. 

"Eyes on us! Hi, we are Iz*one!"

Yuri stared at the 7 girls in front of her "What the..."

"Is... is this..... a reunion?"

"You betcha!" Yena exclaimed.

"You knew about this?" Yuri asked.

"As of about a few minutes ago, yes!" Yena replied.

"They surprised you too?"

Yena nodded.

"If we turn off the lights, you can surprise Chaewon and Sakura" Hitomi informed them

"Are the Ive members not coming?"

"They're last. Turn off the lights!" Chaeyeon said with urgency.

Yuri nodded.

The lights turned off, and the 8 girls breathed hurriedly in the darkness.

After all this time... Minju thought I get to talk face to face with Chaewon again.

The door creaked open, and the girls waited in anticipation as the two familiar figures stepped through the door.

"Eyes on us! Hi, we are Iz*one"

Sakura and Chaewon stared.

Sakura sighed in frustration "I should have known the meeting wasn't real!"

"It kinda is real! You're meeting some pretty awesome Kpop idols, if you ask me"

"She's not wrong" Chaewon muttered.

Sakura scanned the room "Are Yujin and Wonyoung not coming? That's what you're doing, right? A reunion?"

"Yup! Their surprise is going to be the best one, now that we have all the members! And then we go on vlive and get this party started!"

"We're going on vlive? Will you guys be able to follow all the rules?"

"Of course!" Nako said.

The rest of the members exchanged silence.

"Turn the lights off" Hyewon asked.

And so, for one last time, Iz*one's room was filled with darkness.

"Just say what we said to you" Chaeyeon whispered to Chaewon and Sakura. They both nodded.

After a few minutes, the door opened and the final members of Iz*one walked in.

"Eyes on us, hi, we are Iz*one!"

The two looked at the ten, confused. Then, understanding dawned on Yujin.

"This is what Gaeul meant!" She exclaimed.

"Huh?"

"Say hi to the fairy" Yujin mumbled. She walked up to Chaewon and said "Gaeul says hi"

"That's how you're going to start the reunion?"

"Yup!" Yujin nodded. 

They all laughed, took a seat, and started the vlive.

"Eyes on us, hi, we are, Iz*one!"

"We're so happy to be with Wiz*one's again!" Eunbi explained, as if there was a script telling them what to say.

Yujin was scrolling through the comments. Most of them were about excitement at Iz*one's reunion, but there was one that caught Yujin's eye.

"A spoiler for Ive's next comeback?" She read with a questioning voice. "We can't do that"

Wonyoung picked up on the fact that Yujin was trying to be the responsible leader, despite that she was now the second youngest in the current group. And, when she was with Iz*one, she did have a reputation for spoiling songs, didn't she?

She was behind Yujin, so she put a finger to her lips and showed a bit of the dance. All the other members giggled, and Yujin turned around, surprised.

And with that, the party started.

Iz*one talked for a long time, about their activities, about old days, about everything. But soon, they had to log off.

Chaeyeon and Minju looked eyes. This was the moment they had rehearsed.

"We're so sorry we have to go, Wiz*ones" Minju Started

"But don't worry, you'll see us again soon!" Chaeyeon continued

"We're going to put on a performance!"

"All 12 of us!"

"The date is currently pending, but it will be released! We hope you enjoyed our time!"

"Well, should we sign out now?"

Chaeyeon looked at her former members expectantly, but they were all staring at her like "WHY DID YOU NOT TELL US THIS EARLIER?"

"Guys, we need to sign out" she repeated. 

The members reluctantly turned back to the camera.

"Eyes on us! Goodbye, this has been Iz*one!"

A/N: I have no idea if this is actually their thingy that they say when they're leaving but I'm too lazy to go to every website to try to figure it out so I'm going with this, if you want to comment what it is, I'll edit. Honestly, I'm not even sure if I got the intro right but I'm trying my best. Thanks!

As soon as the vlive was turned off, the members exploded.

"A performance?"

"Why didn't you tell us earlier?"

"It was a surprise. That was the idea"

Eunbi, who came first, turned to Nako and Hitomi. "Did you guys know about this?"

They nodded.

"How are we supposed to prepare for a performance we didn't even know about?" Sakura complained

"That's why we didn't fix the date yet?"

"Where are we gonna perform?"

"Already booked and taken care of"

Yena asked the question all of them had been wondering "What song?"

"Ayayaya. I have a-"

Yena and Wonyoung erupted in cheers, as they had never gotten a chance to perform the song. 

"I have a slideshow that I can project to show the positions. I'll film while we practice so you can go home and practice. Text me when you're ready, and we'll practice together one more time before performing"

They began practicing. The four who already knew where they were supposed to go and do helped the others much. They picked on pretty quick, since they already knew the choreography. But soon, their practice was over. Chaeyeon quickly sent the video to all the other members, and then they had to part ways.

"Goodbye"

"Goodbye"

"See you soon"

"See you soon"

A few days later, Chaeyeon had gotten texts from all 8 people, telling her they were ready. She made sure their stage and outfits were ready, then rehearsed one more time, just to make sure their moves were synced.  Iz*one were famous for having synchronized dance, after all. 

And soon, before any of the members could have expected it.

Yena and Wonyoung were the most excited, since they had never performed Ayayaya before. But all members were simply excited to be on stage again

"Okay, positions!" Chaeyeon called.

They were ready

"That was the shortest 3 minutes of my life" Yena complained.

"But it was awesome" Yujin grinned.

"We should do this more often" Yuri added.

"I'll get on booking next October 29th-" Chaeyeon joked.

"But what are we going to perform?" Sakura asked.

"Well, we still have So Curious, and also, out of the 6 Produce Concept songs, we have yet to perform 5 of them with all 12 members fully..."

"Looks like we're good on performances for a while" Chaewon commented.

"Maybe we should book April 29th as well so we can get to all of them before Eunbi gets too old" Wonyoung smirked, as Eunbi gave her a look.

"Nah, April 29th is too sad. We'll just have to perform more songs at once"

"Thank goodness we can spend longer than three measly minutes on that stage" Hyewon joked.

"I'll get planning" Chaeyeon joked. 

"Hey, I didn't know this was being filmed too!" Nako said, pointing to a camera.

They all turned to it.

"Hello, Wiz*ones, did you enjoy our performance?" Wonyoung asked. 

"Did you miss us?" Sakura added.

"We had so much fun preparing!" Yuri added. The girls knew what was up now. They were speaking in rank order.

"Even though someone decided it was fun to surprise us and make us think that this was just a normal old K-pop meeting" Yena said.

"Exactly! Somehow, all the Ive members knew about it! And I didn't! It drove me insane!" Yujin added, right on time.

"In our defense, your reactions were hilarious" Nako admitted.

"Guys, focus" Hyewon reminded them. "There's still a camera here"

"We spent a lot of time preparing this performance..." Eunbi said, signaling at Hitomi

"So please give it your love and support!" Hitomi continued

"And please support all of our members in their activities going forward!" Chaewon smiled.

"We're planning that we'll have another reunion today next year, so look forward to that!" Minju smiled

"Well, we should sign out now, okay?" Chaeyeon completed, looking around at her other me- her former members. 

"Goodbye, Wiz*one's! Eyes on us, this has been, Iz*one!"
