A sigh left the lips of a brunette haired girl as she was walking alongside one of her triplet sisters Clary who had one airpod in her ear as they were currently trying to find their friend Dazai who they were doing a mission with along with their uncle figure Kunikida until he jumped into a river, trying to kill himself like he usually does. "Where could this dummy be?" Clary, uttered a little annoyed as her sister shrugged her shoulders as they walked past a park only to stop when they noticed their friend Dazai speaking with a white haired boy who they quickly realized who it was. "Atsushi!" The girls both screamed causing the boy to flinch before turning his head, as his eyes lit up when he saw his cousins, who began running towards him before tackling him into a tight hug which he gladly returned. "Wait, you know this boy girls?" Dazai asked them, confused as the girls pulled away from their hug with their cousin as they nodded. "He's our cousin, Dazai." Clary exclaimed as she and her sister looked at their cousin. "Why aren't you at the orphanage, you should have called dad so we would know you were out." The brunette known as Katelyn exclaimed as the boy began to sweat-drop. "Well, the orphanage kicked me out and I didn't have a phone to call you guys nor knew your phone number." He told his cousins who sighed in annoyance.

"There you are, you troublesome blockhead!" A voice shouted, getting the attention of the group who looked across the river to see a blonde haired man. "Oh, hey. You found me. Nice work, Kunikida but the girls found me first." Dazai shouted as the girls giggled as they waved at their uncle who didn't wave at them or Dazai. "Nice work? And just who caused all this work, you suicidal maniac?! I've had enough of this! Do you realize how often you disrupt my schedule with your shenanigans?!" He uttered, yelling at the brunette haired male who threw his arm around Katelyn's shoulders as he faced her cousin. "Hey, I know! I just had a great idea. He's a colleague of mine from work, where your cousins work part time at. Let's have him treat you to a meal." Dazai thought, as Kunikida yelled at him but he only ignored him as he and Atsushi exchanged names before heading with the girls somewhere to eat.

Katelyn rolled her eyes at her uncle figure Kunikida who giving her cousin a stern glare while speaking to Dazai who had his arm around her while her sister Clary sat beside their cousin Atsushi while Kunikida threw insults to her cousin. "Hey uncle, do not and I repeat do not insult my cousin if you want to live from my father's rage." She told the male who rolled his eyes but listened to her. "What kinda work are you in?" Atsushi asked the male as he ate a bowl of Tea on Rice while giving the extra to Katelyn and Clary who gladly took them and was currently eating it. "And now he's got questions." Kunikida said annoyed as the girls laughed at his response. "Well, you keep talking about it." Atsushi uttered with his mouth full as Katelyn placed her bowl of the food on the table before smiling softly at her cousin.

"Their work involves the military but me and Clary work part time with them along with Cloe while dad works full time with them." Katelyn exclaimed as Dazai looked between the three before tapping the girl beside him shoulder, causing her to look at him. "How are you and Kunikida communicating with your cousin?" He asked her as she giggled while shrugging her shoulders before looking at her cousin who finished eating his food and was smiling as the girls giggled at his behavior. "I strongly suggest you show a little gratitude after you ate this on my dime!" Kunikida exclaimed as he tried his best not to yell at the younger male but before the girls could say anything, their cousin began speaking. "You're a real lifesaver. I came to Yokohama straight from the orphanage. I've had nothing to eat and nowhere to sleep since, I only saw my cousins and uncle along with my aunt whenever they visited, but I wasn't allowed to know where they lived nor have a phone to call them. I thought I'd starve to death before I found them." Atsushi uttered with a smile as Clary, pouted before wrapping her arms around him as he returned the hug gladly.

"You're from...an orphanage? I thought Kat was messing around when she mentioned that." Dazai uttered as Katelyn rolled her eyes at her friend. "I was, yes. But they kicked me out. I wasn't allowed to contact my cousins, nor live with them until I turned 18." Atsushi exclaimed as he lightly tighten his grip on his cousin but did his best to not hurt her. "Sounds like a real philanthropic organization." Dazai uttered as he saw Katelyn get up to walk towards her cousin to also hug him, before facing Kunikida who began talking. "Look, Dazai! We're not a couple of do-gooders going around helping hard luck cases. We've got a job to do." he explained as he took out his notebook again making the girls roll their eyes when he didn't notice as Katelyn headed back to her seat beside Dazai who quickly placed his arm around her shoulders once again. "That reminds me, you said that your current job and my cousins's part time job involves the military. What kind of work do you go?" Atsushi asked the two males as Dazai and Katelyn locked eyes as the two smirked before facing the younger male. "We're private... investigators." Dazai and Katelyn said at the same time, before silently fist bumping each other as Atsushi wondered about their relationship.

"But we handle more than lost pets and cheating spouses. Our office has... uniquely gifted investigators. We're the Armed Detective Agency." Kunikida explained to the girls' cousin as his eyes widen at hearing the information. 'But I thought those were stories... Tales of an agency specializing in cases that can't be entrusted to the police or the military... An armed force that straddled the natural and supernatural worlds. But there was even more, I'd heard that many members of this elite agency possess...supernatural powers... Am I in the presence of four super humans? Or just two?' Atsushi thought as he saw Dazai looking up at something with stars in his eyes before turning towards Katelyn to ask her something, only to stop when Kunikida began speaking. "Don't even think about asking her to die with you in this Teahouse!" he exclaimed after he wrote something in his book as Dazai stopped smiling to give the other male a serious look. "I wasn't, I'm thinking of the hanging health technique." Dazai told him as the girls covered their mouths to stop themselves from laughing.

"What? You don't know? It's so good for releasing muscle tension and shoulder cramps!" Dazai told Kunikida the fake information as he watched the male write the information down in his book. "Hey uncle, you realize he is lying right?" Clary exclaimed as the male broke his pen before processing to choke the brunette haired male despise having the brunette haired girl known as Katelyn try to help him, as Clary is laughing at the scene in front of her while her cousin gave them a curious glance. "So, about the job you said you're both working on..." Atsushi began as the male, choking Dazai shouted the young boy who began stuttering due to being nervous around him. "It's for the government...We're looking for a tiger." Kunikida exclaimed as the male looked at the two males and his cousins who quickly turned serious. "Yes, a ferocious man-eater who's recently appeared in the city. Well, not that we know for sure it's devoured anyone, but it's ransacked warehouses, eaten farm animals, and caused general chaos. The Authorities have received all kinds of scary reports about it." Dazai exclaimed only to look towards the younger boy as he noticed he had knocked over the empty bowls while falling to the ground in fear.

Katelyn looked over at her cousin, as she saw fear was written over his face not knowing for sure why but she did have a theory about it. "Sushi? What's wrong?" She asked him as he remained silent before trying to leave, only for Kunikida to grab the boy before pinning him down to the floor with his arm behind his back. "Uncle, come on. My cousin is just a kid." She exclaimed as her sister got up before standing beside her. Dazai stood up before walking around, to kneel down beside Atsushi to face him. "Okay, now what do you know about this tiger?" The brunette haired male asked the younger male who touched his hurt arm before facing the older male. "That tiger kept attacking my orphanage. It ruined our vegetable garden. It decimated our chicken coop and emptied out our food warehouse. I mean no one died, but the orphanage was already on a tight budget. I got kicked out so that they'd have one less mouth to feed. I don't have a home because of that tiger, but I guess now I have one with my cousins." He exclaimed as he remembered what people at the orphanage would tell him.

Clary took ahold of her sister's hand, as they listened to their cousin explain more about where he saw the tiger, but she could tell her sister was concerned for him. After all, she always put others above herself. "That makes sense. We got reports of the tiger being sighted in places you mentioned seeing the tiger espically from two weeks ago." Clary exclaimed as Katelyn felt her phone buzz, causing her to take it out of her jacket pocket to see as it was a text from one of her friends that she's super close with as she texted with them while listening to Dazai and Kunikida speaking with her cousin. "Atsushi, are you free tonight? Same with you, Kate?" Dazai asked as the pair looked at him. "I can but I have somewhere to go after this job along with doing my schoolwork." She exclaimed as Dazai began writing on a piece of paper before handing it to Kunikida. "You being the man-eater's target presents an excellent opportunity. Would you please help us find the tiger?" He asked the male who kept saying no, but he ignored him as he pulled Katelyn into his arms, to hug her as he looked at both Kunikida, Clary, and Atsushi. "The three of you are going to catch this animal? We should confirm his information first." Kunikida exclaimed while, noticing his niece figure was smiling as she was texting someone, as he grew curious about it.

"It'll be fine, espically when Kate is coming along with us." Dazai exclaimed as he had the brunette haired girl sit on his lap as he faced her cousin. "No! I'm not doing it. You're planning to use me as bait and use my cousin as a shield. There's no-" Atsushi exclaimed as Dazai cut him off. "I would never put my darling cutie in danger and there's a reward, y'know." Dazai told the younger boy before showing him the exact amount of the reward, which resulted in the boy finally agreeing to help him and his cousin catch the tiger they were looking for, while Clary and Kunikida left to head back to headquarters.

Katelyn Nakajima, the cousin of Atsushi Nakajima sighed as she was currently sitting beside Dazai who had his arm around her shoulders while she leaned her head on his shoulder, as she followed along with the book he was reading which not shocking was about suicide. "Dazai, sorry to interrupt you, but what are you reading and I was wondering what relationship you have with my cousin?" Atsushi asked as Dazai kept his eyes focused on his book, while the girl in his arms looked over at her cousin, trying to stay awake without forcing herself to use her abilities. "A good book. Regarding our relationship, we aren't dating if that's what you are wondering, we are just very close tho if we were to date I would love that however due to her age, her dad forbids it." He exclaimed as Atsushi eyes widen for a moment. "Okay. I'm surprised you can read when it's this dark, same with you cous." Atsushi uttered, as his cousin smiled at him before trying to sleep as she listened to Dazai and her cousin speaking. She opened her eyes when she heard her cousin, wishing the tiger had killed him when it had the chance, which sadden her a lot.

Before she could comfort her cousin, Atsushi the three of them heard something crash causing her to grip Dazai's hand who looked at her with a concerned look while locking his hand with hers to comfort her while Atsushi was freaking out. "I just heard something back there." The young male exclaimed as Dazai kept reading this book, before whispering his theory to the girl beside him who looked at him in shock. He only stopped reading once Atsushi began speaking in fear about the tiger causing the brunette haired male to slam his book shut. "Calm down, Atsushi. Tigers don't suddenly appear out of nowhere." He uttered as Atsushi looked at the male with fear in his eyes. "How do you know that for sure?" He asked as the male shut his eyes to think. "Because something's not right with your story. Just because their finances went south, why would an orphanage banish a poor helpless child and not tell his family about it? It's not in some provencial farming village from a bygone era. Banishing one or two mouths to feed would hardly put a dent in their deficit. It'd make more sense to downside by transferring half to a different orphanage or any family they have who's alive." Dazai exclaimed as he let go of Katelyn's hand to jump down from the boxes before helping her down as he reopened his eyes as the pair looked at the younger male.

"I-I don't understand. What are you talking about Dazai?" Atsushi asked the older male who stared at him. "Think about it: You came to this city two week ago... The tiger also appeared in this city...two weeks ago." Dazai began as Atsushi turned around to look at the male. "And You told us you were in the Tsurumi ward just four days ago. According to reports, the tiger was also sighted there four days ago. Remember what Kunikida said? The armed Detective Agency is comprised of individuals with supernatural powers, including your cousins. Though not a well-known fact, quite a few people possess supernatural abilities in this world." Dazai uttered as he watched along with Katelyn as Atsushi began changing into a tiger after looking at the moon. The girl, stared at her cousin with worry since she knew abilities were a genetic thing. "Some people use their abilities to achieve great success, while others fall into ruin, unable to control their powers. I'm guessing that the orphanage staff knew who the tiger was. But out of fear, they declined to enlighten you and didn't tell your cousins as their way of protecting them. You were the only one in the dark, Atsushi. You see? You also have supernatural powers. In the moonlight, you can transform into a wild beast." Dazai exclaimed as Atsushi not having total control charged at the duo only for Dazai to pull the brunette into his arms as he avoided the attacks from the tiger.

Dazai stopped once his foot hit the brick wall, however he gently let go of the girl as he kept her behind his right shoulder as he waited until Atsushi was closer to him before using his Ability No longer human on him, resulting in catching the boy only to throw him on the ground. "Osamu!" The brunette exclaimed as she kneeled down beside her cousin, as the male looked at her shocked since she hadn't called him by his first name for a long time and she doesn't even remember it. But before he could say anything, Kunikida ran over to them to speak with Dazai as he was followed by the brunette haired girls' sisters, their father and their friends. "You've gotten better at solving cases, Dazai. But my logical skills will solve the big ones. Hey bestie." Ranpo exclaimed as he ran over to Katelyn as he tackled her into a hug, making her laugh as she got up once she realized her cousin would be fine. She noticed Dazai waking him up after deciding to have her cousin join the agency. Once he woke up, he looked at them. Katelyn and Dazai both noticed the male's arm. "Sushi, your arm didn't go back to normal." The brunette exclaimed as her cousin looked at his arm, only to scream after seeing it. "Atsushi Nakajima. From this day forward, you're going to be one of us. You're the new member of the Armed Detective Agency." Dazai exclaimed as his cousins smiled at him, while he playfully glared at Dazai.
