I sit in my room, looking out the window with misty eyes, thinking about my mistake made me feel nostalgic,  I could've been a better daughter, But instead, we're still here, waking up every day with a few bruises here and there.

"Hey Mia! Come on lets go play...Mi" 

I had soon felt arms wrap around me, trapping me in a tight embrace, I knew who it was, And I hate him seeing me like this, in such a feeble state,

"Mia why were you crying? I don't like it when you cry" I could feel the tears starting to drip down my face and onto the carpet, I had soon lifted my arms too hold onto his arms.

"I'm fine" I said that with such sob escaping after it,

"I swear you idiot, I'm not crying" I turned around to face my only friend, a forced smile making it's way to my lips.

"I'm more worried about you, I couldn't stop them, and you got hurt!"

My brother looked at me with a glare, cutting me off, his lips turning into a frown.
"Mi, Stop worrying it's not your fault..And I'm not hurt" A small smile graced his face when he saw me smile a bit.

"Sure what ever you say, Now how about we go play!" I jumped up from my bed, a genuine smile lacing my face. My brother looked at me with a look of worry, but a smile graced his face as well.

"Umm, Your coat?" 

He gets up and heads towards my wardrobe, opening it then shutting it coming back with a slightly ripped green coat.

"Now peasant dress me!" 

I laughed as I said that, my brother had soon put on my coat and then we were off to our favourite spot, The bush.

"Hey no fair! You got a head start!" I looked at jackson with a half hearted glare, meanwhile he was laughing at me

"You're just slow mi, hey look!" I looked to where my brother pointed only too see a crow

"It's just a crow?" I looked at my brother in confusion, my brother laughed at me again and walked towards the crow and picked it up.

"Hey little guy, names jackson" Has I watched my brother smile at the crow, i had soon looked away in the direction of our house too hear a car pulling up.

"Jackson" I looked at my brother with scared eyes, knowing, that it was our parents.

"Mi..." The crow had cut him off by its loud Call, has it flew away, leaving me and my brother alone.

"jackson come on we need to go.." As I turned to walk back to the house, I had felt someone grip my hand tight.

"Mi, I know we're only 15 but we have to run away, please.." My brothers eyes were slowly filling up with tears as he looked at me, I knew we would have a better chance at life if we did this,

"Ok jackson.." I smiled at him, my eyes suddenly became misty,

"Mia, I promise that no matter what, We'll be together, forever, I'm not going too leave you, even when I die" I was soon brought into my brothers embrace as my tears slowly dripped onto the dirt floor . I repeated my brothers words in my head, a ghost smile gracing my face

"Forever Right?" Oh how stupid I was
