Chapter 18
Now I understand why you all call me sadistic bc I was gonna make something in this story happy but now I'm really considering making it sad just for the hell of it
~~
I sat on the grass as I watched Mikey and Pete play basketball in the driveway.
"Think you can get passed me, shorty?" Mikey asked, blocking Pete.
Pete smiled, dribbling around him. He took a shot and I clapped when it made it into the basket.
"And he wins!" Mikey cheered.
Mikey picked Pete up and spun him around.
"Stop, I'm gonna be sick," Pete said.
Mikey set him down, rubbing his back as he frowned.
"Are you okay, baby?" He asked.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine," Pete said. "I feel like I'm always getting sick nowadays."
"Well, that's not your fault, you're gonna have our baby," Mikey said. "Do you need anything?"
Pete shook his head, sitting down beside me.
"That was so cool," I said.
"Go ask Mikey to teach you how to play," Pete said.
I smiled and got up, going over to where Mikey was bouncing the ball.
"I wanna try," I said.
Mikey handed me the ball and I tried throwing into the hoop. I pouted when it didn't even make it close.
"Don't worry, you just have to practice," Mikey said.
He handed it to me and I pouted as I missed again.
"Too hard," I pouted.
Mikey went into the garage and pulled out a little colorful plastic basketball hoop that was just about the height of me. He handed me a foam ball and smiled.
"I used to play with this when I was five, you can use it," he said.
I smiled as I tried to play like he did.
"Hello, boys," Ms. Iero said as she pulled up and got out of her car.
I smiled, hurrying over to give her a hug.
"Good morning," I said.
She smiled, kissing the top of my head.
"You're dad and I were about to go out for coffee," she said. "I can bring you back a muffin if you'd like."
I nodded and my dad walked out. The two left together and I smiled at Mikey and Pete.
"How about you practice," Mikey suggested, handing me my foam ball. "Soon you'll be able to play one on one with me."
I nodded my head as I tried throwing it into the hoop. I was more successful now, the hoop was shorter and the ball was lighter. It wasn't for at least five minutes that I noticed they went inside. I went inside and saw Mikey pressing Pete against the wall as the two kissed roughly. He unbuttoned Pete's jeans, a hand slowly sliding down into Pete's boxers.
"That's naughty!" I exclaimed, covering my eyes.
"Gee, fuck, you were supposed to play basketball," Mikey said and I heard a zipper.
"I got lonely," I said.
Mikey came over and grabbed my wrists, pulling my hands away.
"Why don't you go play?" He suggested.
"Do you wanna play dolls with me?" I asked.
"Tell you what, I'll play dolls with you all night long later," Mikey said.
I nodded excitedly and hurried upstairs to my room.
"Guess what, Frankie, Mikey said he'd play dolls with me later!" I exclaimed.
"Frankie? Why not daddy?" Frank asked, sitting on the edge of my bed.
"I don't know, I think Frankie is a cute name," I said. "Mikey and Pete should name their baby Frankie."
"If you had a baby what would you name it?" He asked.
"I like Puppy," I said, sitting on his lap.
"Puppy isn't a name," Frank said with a small chuckle.
"Y-yes it is," I insisted as my lip quivered.
"Okay, baby, you can name your child Puppy," Frank said.
"What you gonna name your kids?" I asked.
"Well, probably something after my grandma, Lillian," Frank said.
"I don't think I have a grandma," I said. "I didn't never meet her."
"Maybe one day you will," Frank said. "Come on, let's cuddle."
I smiled, snuggling up in the bed with him. My head rested on his chest and he ran his hand through my hair gently.
"Oh fuck, Mikey, please don't stop," I heard Pete moan from Mikey's bedroom.
"They're doing naughty stuff," I pouted, covering my ears.
"That's okay, baby, they're in love," Frank said.
"It's icky," I said.
Frank gave me a soft kiss and I smiled.
"Your kissies make things less icky," I said. "I love your kissies more than anything else in the world."
"I love you more than anything else in the world," he said.
"Tell me more about angel school," I said, snuggling up next to him.
"Well, you go there and there's a lot of people there," Frank said. "It's all the people who died that day. I remembered I was just worried about you, that's why I ran away before. But eventually I got there and I remember that there wasn't a whole lot of kids my age. They were usually older or younger. But they split you up by ages because the old and the young don't get angel jobs. Before that we were all in a room together and I met a boy who was my age and his little sister, who was only three. They had gotten into a car accident.
"I told them all about you. I told them that I got into a car accident too after driving my beautiful boy home. The sister likes Hello Kitty too, I bet you'd like her. There was a lot of old people and babies. A lot of people were really confused too. I thought I saw someone who looked like you and that scared me, I thought something might have happened to you.
"But you know what happens next. We were told that we had died and the people eligible to work were given their angel jobs. I was so glad when they said I could look after you. You needed me and I had been gone for too long. I was so happy when I got to see your face again. I missed you so much and god you were so beautiful."
"And now you're here with me and we're so happy together," I said.
"We are," Frank agreed, giving me a kiss.
"And we're gonna be together forever, right?" I asked.
"Forever and ever," he confirmed.
I giggled happily, straddling his hips.
"And we're gonna get married and get a house and we're gonna have a baby like Mikey and Pete are," I said.
"What about Ray?" Frank asked.
"I like Ray too," I said. "He's so nice, he takes care of me."
I gave him a kiss as he held my hips softly.
"Yes! Yes!" I heard Pete practically scream right before Mikey hissed at him to be quiet.
"Daddy, they're being icky again," I complained, covering my ears.
Frank chuckled and sat up.
"Come on, do you want a snack?" He asked.
I nodded my head and he held my hand, leading me downstairs. I got myself some crackers and sat down on the couch, turning on the tv. I got onto Hello Kitty and smiled happily as I snuggled up with Frank. I grabbed my blankie from the coffee table and hugged it as Frank wrapped his arms around me.
"Cracker?" I asked, holding one up for him.
"Baby, you know I can't eat," he said.
I frowned but ate quietly. I wish Frank could eat and do normal people stuff. But I guess if being an angel is so great then he had to give up some of the good things.
"Am I gonna get an angel job too?" I asked.
"No, you won't," Frank said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Because you're not mentally old enough too," Frank said. "But that's a good thing because that means we can just do whatever we want together."
"What would we do?" I asked.
"Well, they have everything you could ever dream of in Heaven," Frank said. "And I have always wanted to take you on a roller coaster. They're scary at first but I think you'd be okay with it. And we can go on a ferris wheel and carousel. And we'll just kiss and talk and have the best time ever. And since you'll be an angel too we could have sex together, if you're ready. You are maturing a lot but you still won't be ready for a little while."
I pouted, crossing my arms as I set my crackers down.
"I'm ready," I insisted.
"When you can spell orgasm then we can have sex," he said.
"That's not fair!" I whined
"Gee?" someone asked.
I looked over at my dad in the doorway as Frank disappeared.
"Who are you talking to?" He asked.
"Do I get a muffin?" I asked hopefully. "I was a good boy."
He handed me a small paper bag with muffins inside it.
"Where's Mikey and Pete?" He asked.
"They're upstairs doing naughty stuff," I said.
"That's a secret, Gee," Frank said.
"That's a secret so you can't tell them," I said.
"Jesus Christ, hopefully they're at least using protection this time," he muttered.
"What's that?" I asked.
My dad looked at me for a moment before shaking his head. He walked out and I pouted.
"What's that?" I asked Frank.
"Well, it's that thing in the wrapper when we had sex," Frank said, holding my hand.
"What does it do?" I asked.
"It keeps people from getting pregnant or getting an STD," he said.
"What's an STD?" I asked.
"It's kinda like where you get sick because you had sex," he said.
"Am I sick?" I asked.
"No, baby, you're not sick," he denied.
"Are you sick? Is that why you died?" I questioned.
"No, princess," Frank said, "You already know I died from the car accident."
"I-I wish you were sick because then it's not your fault," I said. "People always say it's your fault that you crashed but they wouldn't say that if you were sick. It wasn't your fault, it was the other person's fault."
"No it wasn't, baby," he said quietly. "It was only my fault."
"The other people died too," I said. "There was a mom and a son and a little girl."
Frank looked down sadly and I kissed his cheek.
"But they're angels too now so you don't have to be sad," I said.
"That's right, baby, we're angels now and it isn't bad," he said. "I even get to see your beautiful face whenever I want."
I giggled, hugging him tight. I just wish I was able to see him whenever I wanted.
